Hi guys! Here's chapter 8 for ya'll they're getting longer and longer now so be prepared to keep on scrolling and scrolling haha anyways enjoy the chapter!

Jai P.O.V.

I slowly opened my eyes to a bright light, shining at me and flinched at the intense illumination. My head started aching. I tried to bring my hand up to block the light but couldn't.

I looked down at my hands. Duct tape was wrapped around my wrists to the arms of a chair. Then looking down, my feet and my ankles were wrapped to the legs of the chair.

"Huh, what's going on?" I said to myself worried, "Where is Amiga?"

"She is right here."

I saw the silhouette of a woman, slowly coming towards me.

Then she showed up, in all her glory, it was Sahana with Amiga in her arms. She was wearing a plain loose pajama shirt with shorts, and her hair tied up in a messy bun, some curly strands falling next to her face.

Wow, she is beautiful.

Her face, clear with no makeup and somehow glowing. Even though she had loose clothes on, I could somehow make out her toned body.

Wait why are you thinking about this right now? Get it together Jai! She is probably going to kill you now if you don't stop staring at her.

"Oh, thank god! I thought something happened to her! You know she is a very curious do-"

"Who the hell are you."

Her voice was so frightening, I just wanted to shrivel up and hide in one corner.

"Um-"

"What the hell are you doing in my apartment? How the hell did you even get in? Are you a locksmith are something? Or can you just pick locks like any other normal person??"

She sarcastically said and glared at me, her eyes pierced through my self-confidence.

Sahana put Amiga down and she raced towards me, jumping up and down, her paws on my leg. "Hiii girll!!" I smiled. Then came Sahana's dog, all big and fluffy with his multicolored fur. He came up to Amiga and rubbed himself against her.

Huh? What's going on between those two? Amiga didn't even mind it. I sat there, staring at them wide-eyed, confused.

"Ahem."

I turned to Sahana, who was waiting impatiently tapping her foot, and crossing her arms.

"You didn't answer my question."

I tilted my face in confusion, but then later realized what she was talking about, "Oh, uh well I am Jai Leonis...your neighbor."

Sahana was shocked, "What? You are my neighbor??" she questioned herself, pacing back and forth.

I was equally shocked by her reaction, "Wait, you don't know me? I thought you did. We have passed by each other tons of times." I said in a confused tone.

"When?? I do not remember passing by you, ever." Her voice now getting louder.

"Oh, and how did I get in? Well, your door was unlocked. I think you should care more about your safety. First, start by locking your door so murderers won't come in and try to kill you." I said while nodding my head, self-approving my wonderful advice.

"Yeah, thanks for the advice," Sahana sarcastically said, rubbing her temples in frustration. Muttering to herself, "You are such a fucking idiot Sahana, how could you forget to lock your own fucking door, oh my god." She then rubbed her face, and then slapped it out of nowhere, "Get it together."

I was chilling on the chair, silent, waiting for her to say something. Monty and Amiga stopped doing whatever they were doing with each other and looked at Sahana.

She took a big deep breath in, exhaled, and faced me again, "You didn't answer the main question,"

She began walking towards me,

"Why.

Are.

You.

Here?"

Sahana bent down to my level, and our faces were now only a couple of inches apart.

Oh shit, I thought. I can't possibly tell her the truth; she will think I am crazy?! What do I do, what do I do??

"Helloo!!" Sahana waved her hand in front of my face, "Are you deaf? Answer the question."

I didn't know what to possibly say, so I just came up with something, "Uh, well um," I looked up at the ceiling for god knows what reason, "Well, yesterday I was going to work and I saw a bracelet on the floor, and it looked like a woman's so I just assumed it could be yours, because you are my neighbor and coincidentally a woman, so that's why I came to return it." I unintentionally spoke so fast out of fear.

Sahana looked at me, "Why did you think of returning the bracelet at this time??" I flinched at the sudden strength of her voice.

Trying to quickly think of another false reason, "Well, my clock showed it was 9 p.m. I thought it wasn't too late. I guess something happened to it. When I came to your apartment though, everything was pitch black. I then saw the actual time on your oven and was about to leave when I accidentally knocked your mug down, which is now broken."

Sahana gasped, "So it was you!"

"Yeah, sorry." I laughed awkwardly, not being able to keep my eye contact with her. God, I am such a terrible liar, I faced the ground in shame.

I slowly raised my head.

Sahana was now thankfully at a distance from me now.

She was thinking.

Her eyes were staring at something, fingertips on her chip, and eyebrows furrowed.

Then she looked at me, "Hmm... I don't believe you. Goodnight." She said and began walking towards her bedroom. "Huh, goodnight? You're going to sleep? What about me, where am I going to sleep?" I said looking at her.

Sahana stopped in her tracks,

turned around and said in a monotone voice,

"Right there."
