Sahana P.O.V. (Back when they exited the cafe in the morning)
"Oh my god, did you see the look on his face!! Ahaha" I laughed. Cassia joined with me, "Yeah haha, he looked hilarious!!"
But for some reason, Sami wasn't having it.
"Guys, it wasn't that funny. It was immature of you to make him pay for all our meals, Sahana."
I was confused by her reaction, "Why are you taking his side, Sami? He was the one who started all the chaos in the beginning, which even made him want to make it up to me. So, that's why I made him pay for our meals."
"So that's it, no more right? You're done now?" Sami assured.
"What no, of course not. That's just the beginning, you know I am hard to please." I smiled. "Yeah Sami, what Jai did was completely wrong, and he has to pay for what he did. In this case, literally." Cassia added.
"Whatever, I just thought it was a little weird what you did, and it bothered me a little." Sami said looking uncomfortable.
"Then what would you have wanted me to do?" I asked.
"I don't know, just forgive him. Say he doesn't have to make it up to you, and just forget about it."
Cassia and I looked at Sami like she was crazy, "Are you serious? Forget about it? You don't even know how I feel because it didn't happen to you." I pointed at her. "Why are you acting like Jai didn't do anything wrong? Did something happen between you two in the elevator or something? Is there something you need to tell us?" Cassia and I eyed her.
Sami gasped, "Oh god of course not! I have a boyfriend and you know I would never cheat!?" she was taken aback. "It's just that, he seems like a nice guy. And kind of sensitive too. I don't know, I just felt bad ok. That's it. Just forget about it, I'm sorry." Sami said, apologetically.
I looked at Sami, as she stared down at the ground and smiled, "It's ok, don't worry about it. I want to apologize too, for making you feel this way because of my actions." I started walking towards her.
"AND I AM SORRY TOO." Cassia caught our attention.
"Why?" we both asked in confusion. "Uh, I don't really know why, I just wanted to be a part of what ya'll were doing, hehe." Cassia said.
We all laughed and hugged it out.

8:25 p.m.
After hanging out for a while until it became dark, I started to head home, "Ok, bye guys love youuuu." I blew a kiss to both of them. "Love you moreee." They blew a kiss back. I smiled at their responses and walked to my car.
Finally reaching home after a long (it wasn't long at all, I was just so tired) drive, I headed up to my apartment floor. As I opened my door, immediately I was greeted by Monty, "Hi budddyyy, who's a good boy, you are!!" I babied him, "Did Mable already come and give you your fooodd?" I figured since he was acting so hyper.
Btw Mable is my dog sitter.
She is such a wonderful woman.
Besides Cassia and Sami, she is another person who I treat like family.
"Oh shit, I should really start getting ready for bed." I said looking at the time. I quickly made some dinner for myself. Today's menu consisted of: sweet potato Thai noodles, with grilled tofu and veggies.
"Mmm that was good." I finished swallowing my last bite, before going to my bathroom to take a shower.
As the hot water continuously hit my chilled body, I couldn't stop thinking about the argument that occurred between me and Sami today.
Why was she feeling that way?
Was what I did to Jai, really that bad?
Should I apologize to him?
What no! Are you stupid Sahana?!
How many times do I have to tell you this?
What he did to you was wrong, and he had to face the consequences of his actions.
Why did that sound like it came straight out a teacher's mouth?
"Stop getting out of topic!!!" I yelled at myself.
Heading out of my bathroom, Sami and I's argument still wasn't getting out of my head. "UGH WHY AM I THINKING ABOUT IT SO MUCHH." I yelled in frustration pulling my hair. I slapped my head, "Stop, stop, STOP."
But I couldn't.
I walked to my couch and plopped myself onto it as Monty joined with me. My eyes stared at the ceiling.
I still didn't know the true reason behind our argument.
But I had this lingering feeling that what Sami said, had a different, deeper meaning to it. And not just that 'he seems like a nice guy' and 'kind of sensitive too.'
"YOU KNOW WHAT?"
"I'M GOING TO GO TELL HIM. I'M GOING TO TELL JAI THAT ME AND SAMI GOT INTO AN ARGUMENT BECAUSE OF HIM."
"I'M JUST GONNA GO TELL HIM THAT AND LEAVE RIGHT AWAY. YEAH. I'M GONNA GO DO THAT NOW."
THIS ASSHOLE HAS THE AUDACITY TO COME IN BETWEEN ME AND SAMI?! OHHH HE'S ABOUT TO FEEL MY WRATH!! HE AND HIS UGLY ASS FACE."
It sucks because that isn't actually true.
But I then glanced at the clock and saw the time: 9:00 p.m. "I should go to sleep though. What if he is already asleep?" I said then debated for a couple of seconds. Sooner or later, 'the I don't give a fuck' side of me, won.
"WHO CARES IF HE'S ASLEEP?? FUCK HIS SLEEP!! HE DOESN'T DESERVE SLEEP AFTER WHAT HE DID!!" I grabbed my keys and slammed the door behind me. Two steps later, I knocked on his door and began practicing my lines, while hyping myself up, "You know because of you, Sami and I got into an argument? Yeah, you. You're such an asshole to have the audacity to get between two such close people and have them get into a heated argument. Do you have anything to say for your-"
The door swung open revealing Jai midway putting on his shirt. A glimpse of his toned abs, peeked through as he ruffled his fingers through his hair.
Oh, damn.
Once he realized I was standing out his door, I slowly saw his eyes widen, "What are you doing here?" he asked, shocked.
"We need to talk." I said.
"Um, ok well come in." he said moving out of the way.
"What do we need to talk about?" he asked.
"Well, it's not so much we, more of me." I pointed at myself.
"Ok. I'm all ears." He nodded.
"Well, to start off with, if you're thinking I'm here to apologize for what I did this morning,
I'm not.
What I did was a very understandable thing to do. Especially for you, being the person at fault." I pointed at him. He hesitantly nodded in agreement.
"But the main reason I am here is.." I became silent trying to remember my lines.
"Is?"
Jai put his hand in his pockets and walked a little towards me.
I started to become a little flustered, "I-Is because I wanted, no I felt the need to let you know that, because of you, yes you, Sami and I got into an argument. So, thanks for that."
That went smooth Sahana.
Jai's expression suddenly changed, "Oh, I'm sorry. I would never purposefully want to do that." He said with an apologetic tone. But then he asked, "Wait how did I cause the argument between you two?"
Oh shit. What are you gonna say to that??
He can't know that Sami was on his side, quickly think of something!?
"You don't need to know all the details, all that matters is that you caused it." I said confidently. Jai's expression changed from concerned to completely confused, "Um, ok? Anyways I'm sorry that happened today."
"Yeah, you better be sorry psh." I crossed my arms, turning my head away from him. I heard him slightly chuckle and that triggered me.
I couldn't take it anymore, I had to leave.
"Well then, GOODNIGHT." I said before grabbing my keys and fast walking towards the door.
I was reaching for the door handle when I felt his hand wrap around my wrist.
Shivers went all the way down through my spine.
My heart suddenly started beating rapidly.
I took a deep breath before looking down at his hand, softly gripping my wrist.
Gradually, I shifted my eyes up to meet with his.
"Wait.."
