13 Chapter 13
A/N
I always try to cheer myself up by singing when I get sad.
Most of the time, it turns out that my voice is worse than my problems.

Sahana P.O.V. (9:10 a.m.)
I opened the door to Choco's, seeing Sami and Cassia at our usual spot.
Sami saw me and waved motioning me to come. I smiled and walked towards them, taking in the delicious fumes of the decadent sweets being freshly made, traveling throughout the cafe.
"Hey bitchesss," I said, "Heyy bitchh," they replied. Our greetings to each other are different every time, depending on our moods as a whole. If we were all sad, our greetings would be the same way and vice versa.
What happens when one person is sad and the other happy, how will our greetings be then?
Well, it hasn't happened yet, so I don't know.
We got our usual orders. Mine being, a breakfast protein brownie with brown butter vegan ice cream, whipped cream topping, and caramel drizzle dusted with powdered sugar.
Sami ordered, a Belgian waffle with a mixed berry compote, whipped cream topping and dusted with powdered sugar.
Finally, Cassia ordered crepes with macerated strawberries, citrus whipped cream topping, chocolate drizzle, and you guessed it,
dusted with powdered sugar.
We got our food and began chatting away.
"So, how was yall's morning?" Sami asked.
"Well I pretty much did three things this morning," Cassia explained, "I woke up, brushed my teeth, got ready, and came here."
"That's four things," I said looking at her in confusion, "Oh yeah, whatever. The part where I came here doesn't count," she replied, trying to sound smart. "Um, ok." I said.
Sami turned to me, "SO, how was your morning?" she smiled. I took a deep breath, "God, don't even get me started..." my fingers pressed against my forehead. They looked confused, "What are you talking about?" Sami asked.
"You aren't going to believe me when I say this. But basically, a guy who I, later on, found out was my neighbor, came into my apartment last night at 2 a.m. without me knowing. And when I found him, I duct-taped him to a chair. He told me that he saw a bracelet lying in the hallway and assumed it to be mine. And to top it all off, he thought it was fucking 9 p.m. 'Something was wrong with his clock,' I gestured with my fingers.
"In the end, I made him sleep like that throughout the night because I didn't believe him. Then, this morning my emotions were all over the place. I honestly didn't know whether I should've been nice to him after I stuck him to that chair, or be a bitch because of what he did in the first place. But in the end I chose to be the nice Sahana.
So, I told him he could get some extra sleep on my couch. I even offered him a blanket, but then he suddenly had to go. Before he left, he apologized and wanted to make it up to me. I said I'll think about it and he left." I shrugged. "Oh, and his name is Jai."
"Jai Leonis."
Cassia and Sami were stunned.
The food in Cassia's mouth fell out.
She tried to speak but nothing came out.
Sami leaned closer to me grabbing my hand, "Honey, are you sure that wasn't a dream?" I nodded, "Yup, it all happened in real life." I sighed, "See I knew you wouldn't believe me."
Then Cassia jumped in, "No, no, we believe you, it's just a lot to take in that's all." She said, sending a reassuring smile towards me. I tried sending a smile back, but it looked more like a line. We all sighed at the same time.
To quickly change the topic, Sami asked, "Is he cute?" I laughed, "Kind of. I watched him while he slept." I slid down in my chair in embarrassment. They both gasped, "Sahana! Why would you do that??" Cassia laughed.
"I don't know why?? I guess I just wanted to take a closer look to see if I recognized him. H-He said he was my neighbor and that we've passed by each other several times, but I don't recall that ever!!" I replied in a rush being pressurized. Cassia sat back in her chair, "Hmm, yeah you're hella weird." She nodded to herself. I threw my hands up in defeat, "Ugh, whatever."
"WELL!" Sami said to get our attention, "I have something to tell you guys too!!" Being curious I asked, "What is it?" She looked at both of us, "I know I shouldn't even be thinking about this, but I am a woman so, it doesn't matter." She smiled, "Well this morning, I had scheduled an early consultation to meet up with my new attorney, which went well if you are wondering. After it was over, I headed back to my apartment and saw a cute guy waiting at the elevator. I know I have a boyfriend, but that doesn't mean I couldn't at least look at other guys, you know what I mean?" I hesitantly nodded, whereas Cassia nodded rapidly.
The guy was really good-looking. We were both waiting for the elevator doors to open and once they finally did; a beautiful woman was in there. Makeup all done, her hair styled to perfection, outfit put together, AHH SHE WAS GORGEOUS.
But by her facial expression, I could tell she was startled by us.
Or him.
I heard a gasp coming from my left and looked up at the guy. He whispered something I couldn't hear, but I'm guessing maybe it was that woman's name? So, I tapped him and asked if he was ok. He didn't respond and just kept staring at the woman. Because nothing was going anywhere, I went in the elevator, and immediately, they both snapped out of their worlds of intensely staring at each other. The woman quickly exited, and the man entered, neither exchanging glances or anything. It was pretty weird and awkward. The man and I both split ways once we reached my floor, but yeah, that kind of took a part out of my morning." Sami sipped out of her coffee and a breath escaped from her.
"Woah," Cassia and I said at the same time, "Hehe, jinx," I whispered. The door to the café then opened, making the bell jingle as someone walked in.
Sami's eyes grew wide, "Guys, that's him!!" she pointed.
Cassia and I both looked,
and my stomach dropped when I found out who she was pointing too.
"Jai.."
