"Then suddenly, I saw his eyes start to slowly open..."

Sahana P.O.V.

"Oh finally," I whispered in annoyance.

His eyes eventually met up with mine. We both stared at each other.

I at his hazel eyes,

and he in confusion.

Once I realized what I was actually doing, my mind came back to reality and I quickly stood up and backed away. "Uh, uh I- I was just going to wake you up to tell you, you can sleep on the couch," I said looking away, blush creeping up to my cheeks.

"Oh, ok. Thanks." his voice hoarse because he just woke up. I turned around and walked towards my kitchen, as I heard his footsteps towards my couch. I turned around, "Let me get you a blanket."

"Oh, thanks." He smiled at me. I didn't even glance at him and quickly walked to my closet.

Why am I doing this?? I thought. You barely even know this dude, don't act too nice to him.

"You're right," I said to myself while grabbing the blanket, "Don't act too nice towards this dude. If all I know, he might not even be my neighbor."

"Wait, but his Amiga's tag has that address," I paused, "Holy shit, I think he was telling the truth." I put a hand to my mouth.

I closed the closet and quickly headed towards the living room.

"Here," I said somewhat coldly, handing the blanket to him. "Thanks, but I think I should be going now." He said looking at his watch. "Oh um ok, the door's right there." I pointed.

Just a while ago, he was fine with sleeping for a little bit longer. Why does he want to leave all of a sudden?

He started walking towards the door grabbing his keys, "Oh, I forgot. Amiga! Come here!" the pup quickly strutted to the guy out from my bedroom. He then looked at me, "Oh and..sorry. I didn't mean to cause all that trouble last night. Let me make it up to you."

Really? Does he think a SORRY would fix everything he did??

HELL NAH.

"Um, I don't know. I'll think about it." I replied, still with a cold tone. He nodded, "Ok, then I'll leave now, bye."

"Wait, I still don't know that you are actually my neighbor," I said.

"Prove it."

He was slightly confused, "Um, I can show you?" then opened my door and left, with me following. We walked to the apartment next to mine. He put his keys inside the lock and opened the door.

I sighed in relief.

We're good. He's no murderer.

"Well now that you know I am actually your neighbor, I have to go. So, bye." the door was closing, but I stopped it with my hands.

I realized I forgot his name, "Wait, what's your name again?"

"Jai." He replied. I took my hands off his door and he slightly smiled at me again, before closing it.

I headed back into my apartment and rested my head against the door,

"Jai."

I began to replay everything that happened last night in my head.

"Yeah, taping him to a chair and making him sleep like that, maybe wasn't the best idea..."

I still don't know why I became nice all of a sudden towards him. "Ugh, what am I doing? Why did I even offer a blanket to him?"

I scratched my head, "Something is clearly wrong with me."

8:10 a.m.

"Since I don't have work today, might as well take Monty out for a walk." I looked outside through my window. The sky was a little dull with a few clouds, yet many people were out. The weather was transitioning from fall to winter, the most romantic season in my opinion.

I sighed, "If only I am lucky enough."

Monty came into my bedroom and waited patiently as I changed into some presentable clothes. I grabbed a jacket, Monty's leash, other necessary things, and headed out.

Even though the weather was a bit gloomy, I preferred it rather than the sun roasting me up, and giving me an unnecessary tan.

As if I wasn't already brown enough.

I finally reached the park I always go to when I give Monty walks. There were more people than usual today. I observed all the children playing around, laughing, having the time of their lives.

Seeing that brought a smile to my face.

I adore children with all my heart, babies especially.

With their chubby cheeks small chunky bodies, and tiny fingers and toes.

I want 3 in the future once I get married, if I ever.

Like all Indian parents, my parents have been urging me to get married soon. That just adds more stress to the already huge amount I have.

Monty and I soon left the park back to my apartment.

8:35 a.m.

I was taking Monty's leash off when I felt my phone buzz. It was my best friends, Cassia and Sami.

BNB Group Chat:

Cassia: Hey guys, you wanna get breakfast?

Me: Ya sure, I don't have work anyway hehe.

Sami: YAAA IM STARVINGG

Me: hahaha

Cassia: ok great Choco's right?

Sami: DUH THAT'S WHERE WE ALWAYS GO

Me: Ya cassia whyd u even ask?

Cassia: OK OK sorry just wanted to make sure

Me: haha ok see you in 30!

I texted and headed to breakfast.
