27 Chapter 26 - Port Valstone.

It was a new day, and the sun was blasting down on Aspendria hotter than usual. With a dirt road path leading downwards into a large wall blocking off the village in a bottle neck spreading out into the ocean.

Just at the side was a small campfire not too far from the beach. The sun was so bright it shimmered over the water like a blanket of light galloping over the small waves gracefully. Reflecting into Major's eyes who looks on at the horizon.

"Morning"

He turns round to see Rodahn had woken up and had already begun to tie his armour to his arms, buckling them roughly as he rubs at his tired eyes with the morning making him yawn widely, his sharper teeth sticking out like a sore thumb, noticing one was slightly shorter than the others.

"Hey, you ready to head to the gate? They probably saw the smoke already and are expecting someone to show up" Major asks in the hope of a plan.

"Good, as soon as we get there we'll check with the dockmaster when my uncle will arrive, and from there we'll head to the bar" relieved major turns to look at the entrance.

"I get we may have to wait, but do we have enough to even stay more than a night here?"

"I doubt it, anything youd be willing to trade for coin?"

"Hell no, you?"

"Never"

Major laughs in a jovial manner, shaking his head.

"Then we are at an impasse...come on, only one way to find out"

He begins walking through the sand and towards the giant wall arount the port and its residents. Hopeful that the two would be welcomed inside without resistance.

Approaching the large gate that remained closed with two guards standing out infront, while more layer the top of the wall with bows at the ready as they all notice the two walk up. The guards stiffen when they take in Rodahns size.

"Stop! Halt where you stand this instant!" He yelps out terrified and holding the tip of his spear in the orcs face, without even a flinch he leans forward to peer through the spaces in the gate.

"I said halt! No one may enter! Especially the Orc!"

Rodahn scoffs, taking his two fingers and lightly pushing the spear away as Major speaks up.

"Why exactly aren't we allowed in?"

"Mayors orders. No one especially orc or otherwise are to be shunned away after the night incident" the guard says looking nervously to his friend, both of them sweating profusely and their posture downtrodden.

"The night incident?" Ro asks, making the two sigh and sheathing their spears, looking back into the port with cautious eyes as another voice comes from the top of the wall, a head lightly poking over the edge to shout down to the group arguing to get inside.

"Richardson!! You better not be spilling about what I think you're spilling or I'll-"

The man shouting down was cut short when he notices the two friends on the other side of the gate, a shocked face turning red and looking back down at the guards with an exasperated expression.

"Let them IN! we could use all the help we can get!" he bellows as the two guards jump at the ferocity in his voice.

"But the Mayor said-"

"I dont care what that fat piece o'shit ordered you to do, you're my men so follow my orders before I throw you in the sty with the filthy pigs where you belong!" he orders the two guards as Rodahn and Major look at each other with a nervous glance, the gates to Port Valstone opening slowly, allowing the two to finally step through after many nights of camping in the wilderness.

As they take in the fishing shacks and trading shops along the many paths all connecting to the pier at the very edge of town, the man from before slides down a wooden ladder and landing in the mud below with a slam, turning on the two friends with an unsettling grin.

"Well well...who'd of thought the likes of Albert Major would once return to the quaint old fishing town of Valstone!" he greets Major like an old friend, even though Major had no idea who the man was.

"Sorry...do I know you?"

The mans brows raise in surprise before realization hits his face, laughing aloud for everyone around to hear. Taking his long ginger hair and tying it in a bun with string while his freckles shown brightly in the summer sun, and without a second more Major finally recognizes him. The green eyes, the unmistakable grin and that pungent smell of fish scales.

"Oh dear lord, Donovan Todd? what happened to your face?!"

"My face?! whats wrong with my face?!"

"Nothing, its still as ugly as the last time I saw you"

There was a small moment of silence in-between the two, trading glares and filthy looks before bursting out into laughter, hugging each other in a brotherly display, patting each other fondly on the back as they begin to catch up, while Rodahn stands and watches on in confusion.

"So, you've met?"

"Met? back in the day we used to drink each other under the table, couple of teenage piss-heads in the bar, we had to drink and run to even have a good time!" Donovan chuckles as he slings an arm around Majors back, he was slightly smaller than Major but made up for it in energy.

"More like I drank you under the table, you could hardly handle your tankards of ale without hitting on anything that moves before emptying your-"

"Alright you gobby bastard, how about we all head to the bar and you an tell me all about you're hunky orc friend?" he says with a devilish grin, the slight flares of an Irish accent coming through, shooting a wink in Rodahn's direction only to get rolling eyes in return.

"I'm spoken for"

"Shame, you and I would have had wonderful looking babies" He chuckles to himself, walking through Ro's shadow and into a worn down building. They both follow and finally sit down in front of the first bar they've seen since the Drunken Ogre, and that was a while ago now.

"Ahhh finally, the smell of ale and mead should calm the soul a little right lads?"

Major sits with a smile, while Rodahn slowly lowers onto the seat before hearing a dreaded crunching sound, the stool cracked and splintered underneath as he leans on the sticky bar-side. standing abruptly with conviction.

"I think I'll stand..." he murmured, Donovan orders three drinks as he turns to Major with his own grin, leaving Ro to enjoy his freshly poured mead he speaks to Major with a concerned glare.

"I heard about Caspia...im sorry about that, but id assumed you would've gotten out alive with....err, whatshername?"

"You mean Camilla?"

He scoffs and nods his head solemnly.

"Yeeeeah...sweet, pretty Camilla~"

"Don't do that Donny, its been years but you know you're still my best friend" Major reassures him, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder.

"Best friends write to each other, you may have had a rough time growing up in the Capitol, but you always had a second home here too before Caspia."

"Enough of that, you seem to be doing well for yourself?"

He swirls his tankard, staring at the murky rink before downing it all in one, looking at his friend with soft eyes.

"Well, you already know my father was low on money cause the fish had been getting by him...he was getting slower in his old age...when he died I did the only thing I could've done, I joined the towns guard and climbed the ranks...now im The Sergeant of Valstone with a small army at my back"

"It sounds like you've been through it old friend, im sorry about your dad" Major offers his condolences but Donovan dismisses them.

"Dont be, it was bound to happen eventually..." a saddened expression slowly fading away, he perks up and turns to speak to both of them now, elbowing major who bumps Ro in turn, gaining both their attention.

"So, why are you two here, how'd you two meet?"

"It's quite a long story, I doubt you'd have the time"

he offers his tankard as the three clink them together, sharing all of their stories back and forth, even Rodahn was tipsy enough to share some stories, a settling camaraderie between them...before a guardsman bursts into the bar startling everyone enjoying their drinks and meals.

"Sergeant! there's been another one! you need to come quick its Amelia from the pawn shop down the road she hasn't got much time!" he blabbers to Donovan as his stance turns from lively to serious in a matter of seconds while Ro and Major look on with cautious expressions.

"Whats he talking about?" Major speaks but doesn't get a reply, instead Donovan sprints to his feet, following the young guardsman out of the bar and into the dim street with a look of panic on his face, Major and Rodahn following as well in quick pursuit.

It takes a few minutes of running before they finally glance on the giant crowd of people outside said pawnshop, worried and scared expressions litter them with a few figures stopping them from entering. Donovan reaches them first and pushes his way to the front gaining height on the stars outside the building before turning to the crowd in a swift motion.

"Return to your homes immediately, if this is indeed another attack we can ensure you're all much safer in your homes"

The crowd riles up at his words as major and Ro catch up just in time to watch the commotion unfold.

"LIAR!"

"SHE WAS IN HER HOME!"

"WE AREN'T SAFE HERE!"

Each one of the village speak up with different arguments as Donovan clenches his jaw in restraint, trying to keep the peace.

"Men, make sure everyone returns safely to their homes, nobody here needs to see her like this" he orders the nearby guards as they begin calmly escorting worried families and patrons back home, making way for Major and Ro to approach the pawn shop. Getting stopped again by two guards.

"This building is off limits!"

Donovan places a hand on the mans shoulder, shooing him away as he looks at the two with sincere concern.

"I dont want to have to ask you this, but at this point i dont have much of a choice...we've lost too many people"

"What do you need from us?" Rodahn asks him as he sighs back in reply.

"I know Major used to be apart of the hunters, if anyone can identify what did this its you...I know yo-"

"I know...its a lot, but you haven't told us whats going on here"

"For the past two weeks each night there's been people going missing, then it was bodies being found...now people are getting killed in their homes, whatever is doing this is getting bolder...it isn't even sundown yet"

"I'm assuming it only attacks at night?" Major asks.

"Yes, but this is the earliest someones been killed"

"How long ago was the last one?"

"Two nights ago"

He begins to turn cogs in his mind, Rodahn inspects the outside of the building, spotting two scratch marks leading into the window just at the side of the building.

"Whatever it is, its also spry if it can climb that high...that or the thing can fly?"

"All great points but I think its best if we inspect the body" Donovan suggests, making the two follow him inside the shop to see multiple things strewn up on the walls, weird oddities and weapons lay in the pawnshop, all of it useless mostly.

Following Donovan up the stairs at the back of the shop into the bedroom above the shop where the place looks a lot more wrecked and damaged, the bed itself is covered in blood with straw and chunks of flesh matted in the blankets. And on the floor next to it was the poor victim, her entire body was grey and shriveled, the skin dead and lifeless while her neck was mangled, a massive hole just under jugular exposing the bone and muscle inside.

She would've been unidentifiable had she not died in her shop, all traces of her previous form lost.

"My god, whatever did this was very very hungry" Major exclaims kneeling by her to examine her more closely. Rodahn inspects he room for any more clues while Donovan leans in the doorway watching them work.

Major looks into he gaping wound in her neck to see anything that might be left in her to help narrow down a search.

"I think I got something..." he says poking in his fingers, struggling to pull what he found out, with enough force it comes free, and in his two fingers he held a sharp and intricately shaped fang.

"ahhhh, so this makes a little sense at least" he says looking at it closely, turning it around until he notices a tiny hole in the sharp end of the fang, smirking cause his hypothesis was correct.

"I know what did this, do you want the good news or the bad news Donny?"

"Good news first ya dumbass"

"Right, well first off you have a vampire problem"

"A vampire in Valstone? that's a little far fetched"

"Not completely, look here at the fang, there's holes in the bottom of them, signifying that their injected to suck blood, but that doesn't explain why her neck was mutilated...vamps are know for being clean and quick, the victim is usually asleep but guessing by the bruising around her arms and chest...she fought back"

"What next?"

"If she really was fighting back, the vampire wouldn't have allowed her to escape, and we already know it was starving which means it was pissed when its prey had more bite then they did"

"And the bad news?"

"If it was willing to do this then its not even quenched yet, I suspect its after at least two more people before its satisfied"

Donovan curses then begins to walk back down leaving the two to their own devices.

"I dont think that was all, what else did you find out?" Rodahn says to his friend as Majors brows closely knit together as he moves her head to the side, discovering a row of love bites down the victims ear to her collar bone, the purples spots easy to see against her grey skin.

"Hickeys? so...she was sleeping with the vampire?" Ro looks at the body with a confused scrunch in his nose, the whole thing odd and unlikely.

"Find anything else?"

"No, so far the scuffle started on the bed, the vampire likely dragged her off the bed to secure her neck easier"

"And then exited through the window"

"Actually, there were scratch marks leading in...not out" Rodahn mentions as Major goes into thought again, finally after enough evidence the two leave and find Donovan sitting on the steps of the the pawnshop, a hunched back and little confidence he'd pull through, looking on at the sun barely poking above the horizon with dread.

"I've gathered the people in the village hall so that there less of a chance that thing will get anyone, but there's only so many of my men left, the others fled a few days ago after the attacks never stopped."

"You know Donny if you need more of our help you can always ask, our boat probably wont arrive for a few days, we'll find that vampire...I promise friend" he says looking to Ro for approval, who surprisingly nods in agreement. Donovan scoffs with laughter as he stands finally, looking at the duo with a grateful smile.

"Well, if you're gonna help you can head to the hall to take turns doing shifts while everyone else sleeps...ill take first watch" he walks off, looking tired, but ore confident than he was before.

"You sure about this? vamps are not to be messed with"

"I'm sure, besides, we've got time to kill and chat away, there's plenty you still haven't told me my friend" Major reassures him as the two make their way over the village hall where the remainder of the village people remain in blankets and straw pillows as they all grumpily set up their sleeping areas, families and children huddle around on the floor, guards were positions all around the weak points of the hall.

Donovan was situated in a seat at the back overlooking everyone while the crowd slowly but surely falls asleep, the town was silent aside from the heavy rain that started to fall, causing a slight pitter patter on the windows, only a few were left awake, Donovan, Major and Ro were getting ready to change shifts, with few villagers leaning against the wall, unable to sleep with the little space...but at least this was safer.

"If I dont get some shut eye, I may kill tonight as well, wake me up if anything shows up or wants to suck me dry..." Don's legs shake as he sits down in the corner with a cheeky wink, sleepily letting his eyes droop as Major takes his seat after, Rodahn leaning against the wall just to his left as all that could be heard was the shuffling of lying bodies and quiet breathing.

"So, did you have any idea you'd run into any friends here?" Rodahn asks him gently, still kind from the fresh alcohol coursing through his aching body, tired from all the talking they've done today.

"Not really, Donny always wanted more than this place could give him, aside from the crude jokes hes a very good man, one of the better men I've met in my life"

"Hmm, he can handle his drink, hes alright in my book"

"Hah! If that's all it took I would've challenged you to a drinking match the day I met you"

"Shame we were so occupied..."

"Yeah..."

A wash of solemn memories flood their minds as they're thrown into another uncomfortable silence. Unsure of what to say after weeks of avoiding the subject entirely.

"You know you never did tell me how you and Endar met, care to spill on that delightful endeavor?"

He hums in response thinking back to those older days, easier memories to remember without inflicting a sharp wincing pain deep in his chest, looking at him with tired eyes. Lifting his finger to lower his bottom lip to reveal a sharp tooth on the right side that was shorter than the other on the other side of his mouth. Major looks closely, noticing a fairly thin crack at the bottom of it rooting into his gum.

He releases and clears his throat.

"Um, its been awhile but if im to remember I met him 7 years ago and...lets just say we weren't exactly on great terms..."

"Great terms? what are you, 50?"

"Shut up, you're closer to that age than I am" he grumbles looking deep into the shadows as his thoughts turn back to seven years ago...back to the very first moment they laid eyes on each other.

Rodahn was passing by in the unexplored feeble woods not too far away from Noreclya, he was hunting for food to help the people at home, there was a famine and crops were dying in the land, It didn't matter what food they planted, it died soon after anyways, all except the trees...they stood high and mighty with their spindly branches soaking in the lush sunlight draping through the canopy above Rodahn.

He was restless, and hadn't caught anything all day, despite the sloppy traps he set up all around the surrounding clearing, and all he could think about was a drink, specifically water but anything would've quenched his thirst...the sun was unforgiving that day.

Licking his dry lips he tried sniffing out any possible prey or water sources, his astute hearing closing in on a sound that resembles running water, a river? maybe a stream? relief and satisfaction swirls in his head, heading in the direction quietly so not to alert anything or anyone to his position, the sound growing louder and more thunderous, He goes to turn the corner of a rock, before gazing on the a majestic sight.

A cliff that stretches out into multiple different pools scaling the cliff, and at the very point of it all was a waterfall. Shimmering translucent blue droplets cascading down like an army into the large pond below with a splash forming a satisfying white bubble foam as it all hits the surface. He couldn't believe such a place existed this close to his home, and that he hadn't found it sooner.

"Ow! Watch it!"

A yelp spooks the orc into grabbing his weapon and hunkering down behind a tree, unsure of whether there was any danger or not, investigating further before stopping dead in his tracks when he sees it. There was someone else there, a guy, a naked one at that bathing in the soothing waters as it showers down his body gracefully, washing all the muck away fro his skin and his back turned to the orc, he catches himself watching him, staring at him.

He tries moving closer to get a better look at him, but one wrong foot sends him down on top of a twig, breaking it under his weight and alerting the stranger as he swiftly turns and catches him red handed.

There was a moment of pure silence between them, even the roaring waterfall was blocked out, like a mental battle was unfolding in each mind, but after another second had passed a look of absolute rage spreads on his face, fire coiling in his hand as he lurches it into he tree he hid behinds, charring it to ash.

"Oh shit!" Rodahn gasps as he gets to his feet and starts bolting through the thick vegetation to get away from the caster. But after a moment of running he notices he's not being followed and starts to slow down. Sighing with relief as he wipes his brow of the increasing sweat there, he goes to turn back in the direction he ran in, but his ear flicks to a noise far away, it was like the barrier of sound being broken.

A shifting red blur speeds on his person with inhuman agility, dodging the trees and quickly catching up with him easily. Jumping swiftly from the disturbed grass and kicking his square in the teeth, his sharp tooth on the right chipping and crumbling to pieces in his mouth. The caster was already above him and shadowing over him with a furious spell in his hands as his glowing red eyes stare down at the orcs, a strong look of confusion on his face.

"Why were you spying on me?...Quickly now before I cut out your eyes"

"I wasn't spying I-I was just-"

"Just what? Enjoying the view in your perversion?"

"I am not a pervert! who bathes in a waterfall anyways?!"

"Dont try and turn this on me Orc, I was peacefully getting clean in the only lovely place to do it"

"My name isn't Orc you know?"

After a few moments he sighs, going to speak but is cut off from an arrow piercing his shoulder, knocking him to the ground with a painful yelp.

"There he is boys! get em both in chains for the boss to see!"

A voice shouting from the canopies of the trees as an entire gang of hunters drop with weapons at the ready. Ro looks at Endar as he snags the arrow from his skin with more grunts of pain, magic flaring in his hand with enough power to kill them all where they stand. But they had tricks up their sleeves, One of them pulling out a blowpipe and sticking the man in the neck as he falls to the floor clutching it.

And after a minute passes hes already unconscious and the hunters were gaining in on them, Without any choice but the defend himself, he grabs his weapon off the floor, growling with determination. The hunters laughing cruelly at him and his sword, still undeterred from their hunt.

"You better stay back!" he warns them.

"Or what Little Orc, you going to hurt us runt?" one of the hunters provokes as Ro's eyes widen with anger.

"What did you just call me?" he says, rage building up inside him as he grips the sword even tighter, bringing it up high against them and pushing one of them back while the others charge, he may be a smaller orc, but he was just as strong as a regular orc. Grabbing one by the entire head and flinging him into the woman accompanying them, which crumples them both into each other.

Just one left, Rodahn standing in-between them and their hunt with high sword held high against the opposing enemy.

"Well, guess you're not completely useless, the boss could use a beast like you!" the hunter snarls as Rodahn scoffs lightly at him.

"you couldn't even afford me if you tried"

"Who said anything about a payday" he snarls at him.

Without hesitation he charges at them with surprising agility swerving his way around every one of Ro's attacks, struggling to keep up with the lighting fast sword parrying each strike, he fumbles and gets his legs swept from under him.

A devilish snicker arises from the smug hunter as his sword reaches its way to Ro's neck, the tip of his sword leaning his chin upwards to gaze into his eyes before cutting him down.

"If i can beat you, maybe he wont be interested after all..."

He lifts his sword behind his head for the final blow as Rodahn closes his eyes before...a squishing noise interrupts what he thought would be his last sight, a single hand poking from his stomach with chunks of blood and guts hand on the fingers, the hunter looks down with shock ridden all over his face...unsure what to do as blood flies from his mouth at rapid speed.

The blood absorbs into the hands skin as its ripped out with a disgusting crunch, a hole left clean in his body while it falls lifelessly to the floor, dead.

The caster stands behind him with a tired resolve, unsteady but still standing.

"Are you...alright?" The caster asks holding out a hand to help him up, but the minute Ro grabs it, he begins falling backwards from how weak he was. The orc acting quickly and grabbing him just in time.

Looking down into the asters eyes as they stare back up at hims.

"Thank you...for defending me"

"I really should be thanking you..."

He closes his eyes as Rodahn carries him away to safety, somewhere the two could camp out till they were sure the hunters had lost their trail.

"And that was the first night we met, he may have fucked my tooth but that day we still saved each others lives, and after that things kinda just...happened"

"So you were a pervert once if your life?" Major asks teasing him as his cheeks flush.

"I Am NOT!"

"shhhhhhhhhh"

Interrupting the sleeping villagers in the hall, everyone had dosed off and the storm was only getting worse as thunder crashed through the vast sky outside. The story keeping them both preoccupied as they fail to see the shadow moving outside the window.

"its nice you two had people to rely on, I had the hunters and they weren't even close to a family...Camilla really was the only one who made me feel like i belonged"

"Endar was more than family...Somehow I dont believe he's dead...but its hard not to think it after all the fear and insecurity of waiting for him to come back..." Rodahn says with a saddened face, half expecting Major to shrug his feeling to the side, but his hand grasping at his arm in a comforting squeeze made him sigh lightly with great relief.

"Thank you for listening Albert...I.."

Creeeeeak...

The front door of the halls slowly falls open to the raging storm outside, the moonlight brightens the sky but not by much, the rain was white in its light and the shadowy figure in the door way stands there menacingly in the rain, but walking into the light of the hall he shows himself to be another guardsman.

"The cattle have gone missing, they were in their pen but they disappeared?" he says to the only two people awake, Rodahn and Major.

"What do you mean they've disappeared? Vampires hate cattle blood, it tastes like dirt to them"

"Maybe its a lure?" Rodahn suggests as major takes his eyes off the guards to looks at his friend with caution written all over his face.

"Maybe, stay inside the building no matter w-" Major orders the guard but was cut off when another figure closes in behind him, long sharp fingernails outgrown and slashing at his neck with inhuman speed. And almost without hesitation the hooded figure lunges for the wound in his neck and begins painfully draining him in second, dropping his shriveled corpse to the floor without any remorse.

"Oh god!"

"ahhhhhhhhhh, so sweet~" their voice was feminine and groggy, like they'd just awoken from slumber to feast.

"GET BACK FOUL CREATURE!" Villagers stir and awake to see the hooded Vampire in front of them with thick copious blood dripping down her chin and bare chest.

She giggles under her breath as she slowly approaches, major jumping to his feet to fight the woman but she was exceptionally fast and manages to over power him easily, going straight for a bite to Albert's neck, she would've made contact if it wasn't for Ro blocking her mouth with his armored arm, pushing her away from him.

Donovan was prepared as well, a crossbow in his hands as he aims multiple shots at her, she flees like a bat in the night, slinking away into the town towards the beach, her laughter echoing through the night

The three of them turn to the the villagers and give clear instructions to barricade the doors and windows, chasing after the woman as she continue to jump between buildings, her cloak flowing gracefully behind her, flipping a massive distance in one and skidding through the sand while standing at the oceans edge, the water skimming her toes as the buckling of armor rushes behind her.

Donovan, Major and Rodahn stand in defensive stances as Don fumes when he faces the creature that's been killing his people, taking a step forward and disturbing the sand beneath him.

"I've waited long enough to face you for what you've done...and you're going to tell me WHY?!"

She doesn't answer, instead taking in a deep breath of salty sea air, reaching around her neck to release her cloak, watching in fall into the waters as lightning flashed lighting up her naked body, its skin was pale but shone even more beautiful in the moonlight and her hair was jet black and flowing past her shins.

"Its beautiful isn't it?~" she says, her voice no longer craved for hunger, more gentle and cold.

"TELL ME!"

"The sea...it flows so freely as water should...but its power is thick like BLOOD!" she turns on them, showing herself to the trio with an insane look on her face, her eyes were flitted and they were deadly focused on Donovan, the two staring at each other with a deep and murderous intent.

"Come mortals...let yourself be embraced by death~" she opens her arms out wide, stretching them to morph into whatever she pleases, in this case, she sharpens her hands and claws, growing outwards extensively. the only sound was the raging storm approaching fro the horizon, the ocean gaining more rapid and wild.

It didn't take long for Don to shoot at her with his crossbow, but her newly grown limbs slice at them with ease. She stood in the same place as she awaits a charging Rodahn, feet rooted in place and ready. When he was mere inches away from her she sticks her hands out and grasps his war axe, Pushing him away like he was nothing.

Major was stood behind, slowly circling her and waiting for an opening...but she turns on him without warning, lifting her claws high and slashing down at him in a flurry of deadly attacks.

They both match each other well as Major dodges her swipes masterfully.

With a crack of thunder sounding just above them, lightning was just as close, striking between the two and shocking both of them away from each other in a scramble as all four bodies do their best to fight around the raining strikes of electricity, Donovan throws his crossbow to the ground, unsheathing two intricate daggers and lunging at the vampire with a raging scream.

She smirks, guarding his strikes and tumbling over him and delivering a crushing kick into his spine, sending him flying into the raging ocean to cool off. Rodahn and Major look at each other with determination driving them, they cant let her win or everyone could die. With little time to spare the two advance on her together, attack from opposite sides as she lets out an unearthly growl.

"Foolish pigs! I'LL DRINK YOU BOTH DRY!" she lets out a blood curdling scream, The two attack her with all they have, Rodahn keeps her strength distracted as Major unsheathes his holy light sword in the hopes to repel her towards him, trapping her in between them as they continue to keep up the pressure.

"DIE!" She screeches, picking up Rodahn to his surprise and hurtling him back into the town, his body crashing into an empty building. But when Major attempts to attack her when her guard was off, she simply dodges out of the way without even looking.

"That sword wont protect you little man-thing~"

She grabs it by the hilt and chucks it away as it sticks in the sand, flopping over as its blade crystallizes the sand around it with its immense heat. Her laughter surges when she pushes Major down with ease, slowly approaching with a menacing look written on her face.

"Tell me...what do you think your blood will take like..." she takes a big sniff of the air around him and smirks.

"Ex-hunter...your blood is rustic and so very...deliciously mean~" her voice was cool and calculated, yet entrancing, climbing atop his fallen figure to get close to his ear, her hands pressing his wrists hard into the sand, he couldn't do anything, he couldn't even move. Major hadn't felt this much panic in a long time, he was actually scared.

"You'd make a wonderful specimen..."

"Bite my ass bitch!" he retorts, spitting in her face as she giggles delightfully.

"I can do even better than that~" her jaw unhinges and her fangs grow larger, pressing down to sink in her teeth, only a few inches away as her hiss sends shivers down Majors spine.

But her feeding was interrupted by a sharp stabbing sound, lurching back away from him on the ground to see a large dagger pressed deep into her clavicle, Major looking behind him to see Donovan had swam back and thrown a dagger, saving him from a nasty neck bite.

She screams high into the air, her jaw still unhinged and her fangs unbelievably long, with the dagger left in she begins to sprout wings from her back and takes off into the nights air just above the ocean, Rodahn was missing and Donovan was badly injured, Major stood up to face her as she cackles in the storm.

"You never stood a CHANCE HAHAHAhHHAAAHAha!!!" her laugh getting more wild and insane, she was psychotic...and Major could use that, an idea popping into his head.

He looks over at his sword on the hardened sand as she does, a grin spreads on her face.

"You wont make that mortal!"

"Who says I need it!"

She cackles greatly again, the thunder spreading around them as if it was stood right next to them.

"I respect your bravery and you will die braver than most!"

Suddenly she begins sprouting a stick red spell in her hands as she molds it in her hands, Majors eyes widen, realizing she was no ordinary vampire.

"Goodbye little pig!"

She lurches her arm back to throw the erratic spell she was forming, but the sky lets loose a lucky lightning bolt, striking her in the dagger's hit still stuck in her...she lets out a final scream as her body begins to glow brightly from the electric coursing through her, soon the skin begins flaking with ash, and her cries were cut out as her fanged skeleton falls lifelessly into the ocean below.

A sigh of relief passes Major's lips as he collapses into the sand, exhausted and bruised from the fight, Donovan had crawled to safety as he lays on his back looking high into he sky.

"Finally...shes dead...I...I need a drink" he murmurs, passing out again and falling asleep in the sand as Major gets up to limp towards th house Rodahn was flung into, seeing the massive hole he caused.

"Ro...you ok?"

Grunts of pain and sounds of groans come from the floor as he gazes down at the orc, he wasn't terrible injured, just aching from the landing.

"That fucking sucked..." he groans, dropping his head back on the floor, taking a few minutes before looking up at Major.

"She dead?" he asks.

"Yeah shes dead...the village is safe for now..."

"Great, cause I would love to curl up in a bed and die right now..." Rodahn says, rubbing the back of his neck with

"Come on, lets get Don to healer and find an inn...we deserve it after that fight..." Major says , holding out a hand to help lift him as Rodahn takes it, sighing with relief.
