5 Fateful Encounter

I stopped by a village at the base of the third mountain to pawn off one of my gemstones. I'm pretty sure the guy tried to rip me off but I accepted the deal because I was going to set his store on fire on my way out of town anyways. I was able to pick up a few days worth of food, get some new clothes, winter outfits and got the moped filled up with gas. It's crazy how in rural China almost anything can happen and no one bats an eye.

Now I'm not saying that I set the store on fire or anything. But it just so happened to had gone up in flame when I was already on my way over the next mountain. Totally must've been a coincidence and not some lazy writing to pad out the word count.

I do have to say, it's been a pretty nice adventure so far. I'm homeless and living a nomadic lifestyle as a kid with more money than he should have. Almost no one knows or cares that I exist and I can do whatever I want whenever I want. Well almost whatever I want, my goal is to cross the China-nepal border and get to Karthmandu. But to do that I need to somehow cross and survive the harsh Himalayan mountains and it's treacherous conditions.

-----Two Months Later-----

So I've ditched the moped. It was a while back but I was so stupid for not checking if it had any trackers or bugs on it. It just finally occurred to me to check it after I had already left the town at the third mountain. I know it was a bad thing to do for mother nature but to try and fake my death, I drove the moped off a cliff and into a river. Now my tracks are definitely showing that I was heading south of the Headquarters. I just hope that the tire marks had made it look like I got spooked and lost control as I plummet to my death. Anyways now I'm in Nepal, it was probably the most lackluster Far Cry 4 bus trip I've ever had. Not that I'm complaining though, I would rather cross the border safely and uneventfully than to have an even faster speedrun of this playthrough.

Here in Karthmandu it's been pretty rough. There's a ton of abandoned children wondering around just trying to survive the day and way too many trying to take advantage of the younger and helpless ones. During my first week here I've seen three gotten kidnapped, 4 touched and 1 beaten to death for not giving his food to a 16 year old. Can't say that nothing happen to me though. I kicked in the knee of one that tried to snatched my backpack and broke the arm of another that tried to do it while we were all sleeping. Oh yeah we're all sleeping in one building together. Doesn't matter who you are or where you're going, you'll find many buildings at night packed full of starving children.

Ever since then I've been moving around. Can't stay in one place for too long or else people would start to notice. It's not everyday you see a seven year old put another much older kid into the disability bracket. As if I don't already have enough problems on my hands. SIGH. Everyday I face the risk of getting robbed or killed but yet I survive, and everyday I roam the city to look for the gates that will unlock my fate.

Trying to find the entrance to Kamar-Taj is such a pain in the ass. It's like having the same but inverse problem with my father's treasury. Can't find a simple mundane pebble hidden in a mountain of dust, incense smoke and promises of enteral happiness. Now I see why Strange was having so much trouble finding it and only did so after getting robbed and giving a deus ex machina. Maybe I should give in and beg for the Gods to lend me one of the many bones I'll be getting later on in life. If only it could be as simple as the movies.

Anyways that's enough of a recap. Today I'm continuing my search of such an opportunity to become a magic user. I just got done eating a simple meal that I paid for in rupees, it wasn't hard to convert Yuan to rupees. All I had to do was give my yuan to the some helpless children in Tibet before I came here and sell another gemstone here for some rupees. Now I could've save some time and money just by converting it but what normal seven year old has 10k USD worth of yuan just on their person to convert? Untraceable money means untraceable and also mean expendable. Can't be having a paper trail leading to me if I'm always carrying cash that came from one specific area and using it in another.

Anyways after finishing breakfast I begin to wonder the city again. Nothing really new compared to when I first got here. Just endlessly wondering and searching for simple looking doors that's near some spiritual gurus on a nameless and plain looking street. I suppose I should try looking out for some weirdos that wear big ass hoods in the middle of the day but I've been too busy looking out for danger behind me to search for wizards.

Wait maybe that's it. I've been lost in this city because I've been looking for the wrong thing all this time. Instead of just trying to look for the door while actually looking for danger I should try looking for some LARPers. Let's see I know the place is by a tall temple looking building and it's just tucked into the side alley way instead of a main road...I swivel my head around until I can see the specific temple. It's been there all along huh. I let out a smirk before my body started to move towards the direction of the building.

Let's see let's see no no..no...no. That's not quite it either. There must be a different turn or something because all these turns seem too close to the building. From what I can remember, Strange and Mordo seem to be quite some distance from that building....but this also feels like the right place. I must be close to it, I can feel it! After all I can't fail now. it's been too long and I don't think any of the children homes will accept me since I've became a little famous.

Suddenly a man wearing an orange robe walks by me with his hood drawn over his head. What kind of ninja turtles shit is thi-NO FUCKING SHIT. That must be.....but there's only one way to find out for sure. I follow the guy closely from behind. My eyes glued not to his back but to his waist and left hand. He has some sort of brown leather belt around his waist while his robe looks like it's made of multiple layers. Man I don't know if it was just lazy costume design or shitty writing but these people literally do not change their outfits once they find what they like. And on his left hand a gold-bronze color ring that's attached to his pointer and middle finger. Now's my chance.

I speed up my pace and accidentally stumbled onto the man as my feet trip over thin air. "Oh I'm so sorry." I apologize to the man in mandarin while keeping my head down, I quickly pick up myself and walking away like nothing ever happened. After a couple of minutes I take a turn into a near empty alleyway and try hide myself just beyond the turn of a corner.

"Looks like you took something that doesn't belongs to you young man." a deep mysterious voice calls out behind me. A little smile curled around my lips but I quickly dropped before I turned around. "It wouldn't happen to have been a ring, right mister?" I look up into the eyes of a stern and righteous yet aged Danish man. "I've been searching for you sir. I wish to study the ways of the mystic arts." I wasn't sure what would've been the best way to get into Kamar-Taj but I figured beating around the bush isn't going to get me there. I lean forward for a bow before handing over the stolen sling ring.
