19 THE DEVORTURE CASTLE
Walk . Walk . Walk . Walk .
That's how our lives have been for the past half an hour . At this moment , we all are tired for life and nothing sounds more pleasurable than a comfortable bed in air conditioned room with a fluffy blanket , however it might be worth it if WE are able to find the castle .
" I WILL KILL YOU CARLOS " A funny voice of Mia shots in the background .
" TELL MY PARENTS I LOVE THEM " The voice of Aastha can also be heard .
Glancing at my back , I found the source of these voices - it's my stupid cousin playing this in his phone .
" You recorded it , dude ?" Liam asks , combing his hair with his hand .
" Of course , I did ! You all were threatening me , I needed the proof if I died " Carlos says with a bloody smirk plastered on his face .
" Mia , please take care of your boyfriend or I might ruin his perfect face with a punch " Aastha teases Mia , raising her first to emphasize the point .
" Miaaaaaaaa and Caralooooos " I wink and tease her too . A blush could easily be seen blooming on her face .
" You think my face is perfect , don't you ?" Carlos replies doing a hilarious dance while shaking his waist .
" One more word , and there will be a graveyard here with the bodies of two jerks and two best friends " Mia glares at us , though we all are aware it's harmless teasing .
" About time you start dating mate ! The last on-" Liam was praising him but Carlos quickly covered his mouth and whispers something in his ear which makes him serious or I thought he was .
" OW , YOUR GROSS MAN " Carlos wipes his hand on the back of Liam's T-shirt. It looks like he just licked the inside of Carlos's hand .
" Try doing that one more time !" Liam playfully glares .
" And to answer your question , we are not dating !"
" We never asked a question " I state matter of factly .
" Then why does my bestie here looks like a tomato ?"
" GUYS , HUSH !" Mia quiet everyone and points at an interesacting of two trees , behind it looks like a wall covered from all the creepers creeping their way up there . Suddenly , the tiredness and playing was all gone .
If I am being honest , I wasn't actually expecting we will find the castle today but looks like god had other plans . Not that I am complaining .
" Does it look like a wall to you ?" I question to the person standing beside me .
" It kind of does " The deep voice of Liam replies .
After inspecting for a few minutes and coming to a conclusion , that it indeed is The Devorture Castle .
" What do we do now ?"
" We climb over the wall and jump to the other side "
" WHAT "
" It's not that high , me and Carlos can climb it with closed eyes "
" Why do I feel like that all idiotic ideas of today comes from you two ?" I question both of them with raised eyebrows .
" Those weren't idiotic "
" Yeah , they might be dangerous but the best ideas ever " They both defend themselves. Now , I am actually seeing why these two are best friends ! Crazy indeed .
" Alright , let's climb It " Aastha shouts enthusiastically.
" Yup , somebody give me a boost " Mia joins .
" Wait , we aren't seriously doing this, are we ?" I look at them like they have lost their mind .
" Come on Emi, it's not that high "
" Yeah , we are here to support you !"
" Nope , not at all " I put my hands on my chest , no way I am doing it and I AM STUBBORN .

" You do realise I can report a FIR against you all , don't you ?" I glumly says to them .
You won't believe what they did , after I refused to jump from the wall of castle , Carlos freaking carried me over his shoulder and jumped while I was holding onto him for dear life , like a baby Koala . Not to mention , Liam was all ready to this honor himself .
And now I am giving them the silent treatment for last 4 minutes and let me tell you , it's hard . I am like a chatter box who just wanna talk and these 4 minutes were insane .
" We are Sorry , Emily !"
" I swear , we wouldn't have let anyone hurt you "
" Stop with the silent treatment Lilyanna , please "
They all apologizes and beg for my merch and now I feel bad . They didn't meant anything bad so ' They are forgiven '.
" Alright , I forgive you except my dear Cousin " I give them a smile , side-hugging my besties .
" Thank you , babes !"
Walking on the vast grounds of Castle , we slowly see the building of castle getting clearer by each step . The watch reads 5:45 as the light sunlight sight it's says on the perfectly cut green grass .
' THE DEVORTURE CASTLE OF CRYSTALIA ' Is embedded on the big blue signboard with gold initials in calligraphy in soft strokes of brush .
With a few more stride and playful rufflings of hair , we stood at the massive entrance of the castle . One look at it , and we were in lost of words .
The entrance is designed beautifully in a dark brown beige colour and contrasted with golden . We were able to open it without any problem and that itself is a miracle .
The feeling while walking down these halls was spectacular and in fact , magical . Sunlight flowed in through the transparent windows making the room full of light and wind . It looks like , we entered the main throne area and that's the only reason it's all so bright and not dim .
" This site has been visited by the world archaeological team and collected it's precious ornaments and records . Can be used by visitors now " Liam reads out loud for all of us .
" The hell with us finding sources here " I mumble .
" Still let's look around a bit " Mia says in positive mood .
" Yeah , it took a bloody long time to reach here " Aastha says and goes off in the direction of a wall .
The castle walls are coloured in a gold colour ; not the one that reflects the sunlight , but the one that warms the eyes and heart . The walls just scream mystical and wonderous . There is a huge amount of carving that's been done on whatever stone it was . I can only say that the artists were very talented and hard-working . The ceiling is way too above the ground and I reckon even a ladder will only reach half the height . The ground is covered all around the area with a clean blue carpet .
The great throne sits at the top of the room with the thrones of queen , Prince and princess beside it in a neat and royal order .
I stumble upon Aastha , busy in trying to memorize the grand room . She is standing opposite of a wall filled with pictures of the royal family . We together with Mia moves along with the chain , our fingers grazing the wall softly afraid it might break , reading the names .

I literally had to do a double take this time as I hadn't expected it . My grandpa wasn't a member of the royal family . Though , I am not surprised as for the first time . I understand he was a great man and everyone respected him , so it kind of makes sense . I mean, most of the people still remember him and can recognize me as his granddaughter . I have learnt that first handed while going through the market once .
Looking around for a while , and taking a few pics of ourself to remember this place ( Aastha's idea ) we decides it's time to leave as the sun started to show his last remains for today . We found a path from around the castle towards one of the main roads ( GPS ) and Liam ordered one of his father's man to bring him the car from before there.
The orange-ish sun shines brightly over the castle and I couldn't stop myself from getting a picture of this view . I even took a pic of myself here .
While going down the decided path , I see a pile of beautiful flowers around the hedges . I saw them before as well , but this time I get this nagging feeling to near this galaxy purple coloured flower . There are a lot of such flowers here .
My finger grazed the flower , and a feeling of nausea shot through my body . I know it's wrong , though I plucked the flower calmly bringing it closer to my face , when it exploded into bits of smoke . We all give it a long lasting look , when our head snaps to the right .
There is a whole army of people on horses , pointing their weapons to the left of our sides and there is also an army with same .
A soldier on white horse runs towards us when we weren't looking , we all take some steps back though he doesn't even look at us and pass from Liam , from his body . Our eyes widens in disbelief and he asks
" Am I a ghost ?"
