5 PERIL OF MIDNIGHT
The trio reached the Autumn Valleys when the sun was setting and making it more attractive to see . The Island was colossal in size and the water colour is spectacular , giving a great contrast to the stunning green plants and pure white sand beach . The turquoise blue water can be seen as far as one's eyes can reach which is home for beautiful fishes and corals .
It is ' the tropical paradise ' for the three girls as they can't seem to take their eyes off the beauty . They are barely holding themself from dashing into the woods and exploring this fantasyland . It is perfect in it's imperfect way .... definitely what the girls heart desire .
" Shut your mouth , kids , before you catch a fly ". Uncle Ethan told them.
" Ohhhhh " was all they could say as they hadn't noticed it yet .
As soon as they stepped on the Island , a feeling of uneasiness swept over them and they felt dizzy , a blue light emitted in the navy blue sky . Balancing themself on each other, they stood on their feet . It was gone in an instant making them question whether it was real or not. They decided to let it go as it was the least of their concern right now .
" Come ON , your Aunt and Carlos are waiting ". He shouted after securing the yacht with a rope .
" Who is Carlos ?" Aastha whispered in Emily's ear while walking.
" Ahh .... Yeah , I forgot to mention , he is my cousin ". Emily replies .
" Is he cute ?"
" What's his age ?"
"His name sounds like of a bad boy , exactly my type "
" He is single , isn't he ?" Mia questions and Wolf - whistled . Trust me , she did just that .
" M , CONTROL " Aastha grumbles .
" Come out of it , M ..... He is my COUSIN " Emily tries to knock some sense into her thick brain .
" Finee " She whines dragging the ' e ' .

All of them are finishing their meal in the dining room . They have already thanked and appreciated their aunt for the delicious food .
Suddenly , Aastha asks , " Uncle , please tell us the story you mentioned earlier on the ride ".
" Yes , you promised !"
" You can't back out now ."
" Yes pleaseeeee ".
Uncle Ethan replays the moment in his mind and couldn't remember when did he promised this thing . He replies , " Sure , why not "
" Few months back this island was densely populated with multicultural people and tribes . This place used to be joyful with birds chirping , kids playing , men and women roaming the beaches all day and night . The marine life was the hidden beauty . Compared to that time it's nothing now . Everything seemed so happy and contented . Even the sky glowed brighter . This place was full of hope like nothing can destroy the power it had .......
' It started suddenly ' . The night life this Island had , Changed . Strange things started happening . The animals, people tied outside of their house at night were, either found dead or lost or sometimes , even half of their body was found in the morning . Bright blue light glowed in the forest some nights , though no one dared to go and check up what it was . Things started getting suspicious . It was as though , a grey cloud surrrouned once a happy place .
With these dreading things happening here , people started leaving the Island and migrating to nearby cities . "
He finished it with a scoff . His expression was of pain , like it hurt to even say these things . It was terrifying to say the least . He was about to add something but was cut off by Aunt saying ,
" Shut It darling , stop scaring the little girls ".
" He is just messing with you , dear ! These are just stereotypes , we don't even know if they are true or not . "
" No need to be worried . It's totally safe . Enjoy your stay here " She said looking at the girls with a smile tugging at the sides of her lips .
" But I believe , they are true ." Uncle Ethan whispers slowly to no one in particular but Mia heard it as she was sitting the closest to him .
