Chapter 4

We walked for 2 hours straight. Nothing interesting is happening. Lu is just eating some pineapples. I ate some as well. We are also in the Orgatian Borders. Looking around, I see mountains on each side. I always liked the nature of Orgate. "Mortal, what do you humans do in life?" Is Lu trying to start a conversation? There's no way. We didn't talk to each other for 2 hours. She finally wants to speak. Calm down, Alora. "You have to be more specific. Humans do a lot of things." "Well then, why do you Mortals fight for power?" That's is an interesting question. "People want power because...Well, that's a difficult question. Some people wish to control because they have a giant ego or have a complex It's hard to explain." "What I get from that Mortal is that you Mortals lust for power. You can only have power because you have nothing to do better with your lives. Because if you don't have power, you have nothing in this world. Everything is about power in this world. Isn't it?" "Maybe. I don't know."

"Then let's take you, for example, Mortal. Do you crave power?" "I don't know if I do. Lu, you asked a question I wasn't ready for. I'll answer them still because I can. If I can't answer. I'll try to answer the best I can. "I don't crave power; I was born into power in a world like this. You have to be lucky if you're born into a powerful family. Lu takes a second to respond. She doesn't grab another pineapple. She just walked in silence.

"Why are you in a crisis Mortal?" I take a second to respond. "Well, Orgate doesn't have an heir or a King." "Does having a king change anything." I get surprised by Lu's comment. "No gender means nothing here. I want someone I love before I let anybody touch me like that." I hear Lu hm for a second. "So does that mean you-" I cut her off. "What no! I had a boyfriend. We broke up because he cheated on me. He even said he loved me" I sigh after saying that. Lu speaks up

"Love such a controversial topic. Is it a concept, or is it a real thing? Nobody can agree on it. There is one thing people do agree on. It's a feeling." Since she put the topic on feelings.

"Do gods have feelings as well?" "That's is an interesting question. Every living being has feelings. Gods are also included in that: some living beings, but gods mostly hide their emotions. There are a few exceptions to that list. One of those exceptions is the Reader herself." I respond, "Why is she an exception?" "Certain Gods or Deities can make their feelings, not used against themself. The Reader makes the book not give her feelings, so she fakes them. So for example. People who know the Reader and Frey are best friends. Suppose someone were to kill Frey somehow. You would think the Reader would break down crying. No, she would do this instead." I see Lu stop walking and turn to me, and she speaks. "Wow, great you killed Frey. Are you happy now since you killed a god? You'd also think I would break down crying. I'm not because I can remake her." "That is how it would go." Lu continues to walk. She perfectly spoke like the Reader herself. How did she achieve that? "Wait, you impersonated the Reader perfectly. How?" She speaks up. "if I hear somebody once, I can impersonate them perfectly. Going back to the last topic. Do you now understand what I mean by everything has feelings?" "Well, you could add some more points to it if you don't mind?" "Then I'll continue. As I just said, some gods can't lose because of their feelings. If a god says they don't have feelings, it's a lie. They're lying to you. The truth here is they conceal their feelings instead of showing them."

She looks over to some Utahraptors eating a dead giant Buffalo. "Do you see those Raptors over there, Mortal?" I look over as well and respond. "I do see that. but what do Raptors eating a buffalo have to do with anything we're talking about?" "Those creatures also have feelings. They don't have an advanced voice box like ours. They still feel pain, and they have feelings or emotions like us." "So you have feelings as well?" "I do indeed, Mortal. I conceal them. I am part of the select few who can't use their feelings against them." "Well, thank you for this conversation, Lu." She walks in silence. I walk beside her in silence as well.

Lu is wise. If you were a God and had enemies could use feelings against them. This is a good thought process. Lu, you are an intelligent individual. So I suppose we all have feelings or emotions. Even if we want to hide them, we'll always have them. That means if someone says they don't have feel anything. "Wait! Lu, what happens if someone doesn't feel anything?" She speaks up, "There a multitude of reasons why someone wouldn't have feelings, Mortal. Some may be there a yandere. I mentioned it before. Those people are rare to find, but if you do find one. You might be fucked. All of their emotions are gone except for love. Find someone who loves you, and that person will regain their feelings.

Another example is people who are sociopaths and psychopaths. Their feelings are up to the max or over that even. You can fix a sociopath if you give that person enough time. Psychopaths are not that. They can never be normal, Mortal and I mean never."

We continue to walk in silence. I wonder what life would be like if nothing could feel emotions. It would be strange we would all be robots. Beep Boop. Yes, we need food to survive but no feelings. Let's throw that out of the window. Emotions are for nerds. Heh. That would be funny to see. That means Lu here has emotions. She conceals them. This means the cliche could happen where I can become her best friend. I Highly doubt why a cliche would ever happen to me of all people. It would be funny to see it happen. The god of Cthulhu is best friends with a human. That's a story right there.

We walk for another 5 hours as we finally reach the Dragonian Border. We walk through, and now we are officially in Dragonia. The chances of meeting Lars are high now since she is here. Lu and I continue to walk down a path, looking around the environment. It has been a while since I have been in Dragonia. The river on the left of me is called the River of Lesn. It was weird to pronounce it. It is spelled L - E - S - N. But its pronounced like Lesen. Dragonia is an odd nation with its Draconic speak. I continue to look around.

The grass fields. On the horizon are the mountains. Heh, I always liked nature. As I continued to walk, I noticed that Lu had stopped walking and looking in the river. She was looking at it. "Lu, why are you stopping- What the hell are you doing!?" She started to take her clothes off and turned around towards me. "Why are you startled, Mortal? I'm just taking a dip into the river to relax." "In front of me. Are you insane?" I don't. Ugh. Alora, you can do this. "Mortal, are you not comfortable seeing a nude woman?" "Yes, I am fine. I was in female lockers rooms. The real question here is why are you doing it in front of me of all people?!"

"Let's be honest here, Mortal, even if you tell anybody who would believe you." I don't even know how to respond to that. A God is nude in front of me and now is joking with me. What the hell. "You want to join me, Mortal. It is winter after all." "What no! I am not showing my nude body!" "So are you saying you are not comfortable with your body Mortal?" Lu is being annoying right now. "That's not what I meant by that. What I meant was I was not comfortable showing you. I was going to change, last night but you were there, so I didn't." "So your sleeping with the clothes you wore yesterday?" "Precisely." "Well, alright then, Mortal, I'll just take a cool off then." As Lu walks into the river. Lu then lays her head on a rock in the river. I walk over to the river and take off my shoes and socks. I put my feet in the water. It's freezing! "What do you mean you're taking a cool-off? It's freezing in this water." "Oh ya, I'm adapted to any temperature of the water. Hold on, Mortal." I then feel the cold water turn into warm water. I suppose she can change the temperature of the water.

I suppose it's relaxing even if the wind is cold. My clothes are the only things keeping me warm. In contrast, my feet are the warmest. I then feel two things on my shoulders. Both of the creatures on my shoulders looked exactly like me. The one on my right shoulder was me wearing a demon outfit. At the same time, the one on the left is wearing an angel outfit. Heh. That's funny the Angel and Demon thing I am having right now. I see where the characters speak to themselves about a decision in those funny plays. The Demon version of me speaks up, "Look. We're cold. Just do it. It is winter, after all. All we have keeping us warm is this jacket and clothes." The Angel speaks up, "No. I know it's cold currently, but not cold enough to snow. We didn't show Lu our nude body before, so why should we now?" I speak up this time. "I mean, I am cold, and the water is warm," The Angel speaks, "I know it's warm but thinks of your morals here me. You can not just show-" I get up and unclip my jacket.

Angel speaks up immediately after I say this. "What! Stop what your doing right now!" The demon responds, "Yes, fall to the dark side." I then notice Lu opening her eyes and looking at me. "Why are you talking to yourself, Mortal?" I put my hands to my shoulders, so the two things go away. "I was debating on something." "Now I see why it's hard for you to find a boyfriend. You have nice shoulders." It took me a second to realize what Lu had just said. What. "Why would you say that- you know what. Thanks for the compliment, Lu." "Your welcome, Mortal." As I take the rest of my clothing off. "Jeez. It's so cold out here. How did you handle this." "I can handle temperatures. Your species is good at adapting, but your species is too used to having equipment to help you in harsh climates. Also, I can tell why guys like your thighs now." I ignore her comment and walk into the river. It is nice and warm inside this river. I could just lay down and relax forever.

"So, are you going to come closer?" I walk closer to her. I lay my head on the rock Iand lower myself to the same height as Lu. "Well, Mortal. doesn't it feel nice to be in this warm water." "I suppose it does." "Anyway, Mortal, I always wanted to ask that machine that is next to your clothes. Is that your only power?" "I have more powers than that gun. I can do a lot of things. I'll show you after this nice comforting bath." "See, Mortal. I knew you would like it. I usually do this when I feel dirty. I made this water clean anything." "You can do that?" "I can do a lot of things, Mortal. That you couldn't comprehend." "I see," I respond. Lu and I just lay in the river. We both close our eyes and nap on the rock we were leaning our heads on.
