"Come inside, you will understand," Si Li smile slightly, now it's time for him to put his first card.

Lu Lan followed Si Li inside the penthouse where she saw Si Li's grandfather was sitting in the living room.

"Rascal.. is this time to come home, where is my…?" Elder Si stopped shouting when he saw Lu Lan came along with Si Li.

"Grandfather…!" Lu Lan greeted to Elder Si.

"Lu Lan…?" Elder Si looked confusingly to Si Li.

"You saw what you wanted to see. Now go and rest. We will talk about it tomorrow," Si Li said to Elder Si and held Lu Lan's hand and dragged her towards the stairs.

"Hey… Where are we going…?" Lu Lan asked and retreated her hand back when he was dragging her.

"In my room... Darling…" Si Li said and took Lu Lan in his arms and went to his room immediately and shut the door of his room before she could ask any other question.

Inside the room...

Si Li threw Lu Lan in his bed and Lu Lan immediately got up and shouted "What the hell... Si Li... What is the meaning...?"

"Marry Me." Si Li interrupted.

'What!!! Didn't he like Lu Xuelon? How come he wants to marry me?' Lu Lan thought

"I don't want you to remain in this marriage for the lifetime. It is a one year contract after which we will get the divorce and you will be free. I am doing this only because the health of the old man is not good and he is forcing me for the marriage. If you agree, I guarantee whatever you want, you will get it." Si Li explained the whole thing immediately leaving no scope for any doubt.

"What if I don't agree with you?" Lu Lan asked.

Of course, when first, she agreed for Tex Corporation's deal, she got a marriage proposal from Si Li and now if she would agree to marry him, who would know what would come next?

"I think you are already facing enough difficulties in your life and don't want to increase it." Si Li warned her.

Lu Lan was twenty-three years old who graduated last year. Lu Lan lost her parents when she was sixteen years old, after that Elder Lu adopted her after her parents' death.

Lu Lan's parents worked under Elder Lu for many years and he always treated her as his granddaughter. So after Lu Lan's parents' death, when none of her relatives agreed to take her custody, Elder Lu adopted her as his granddaughter.

Elder Lu was a good friend of Elder Si and both the families were also a good relationship in their businesses. Although Lu Lan was adopted granddaughter in Lu family, she never got any status in Lu family as compared to her sister Lu Xuelon.

Lu Xuelon was an artist in World Entertainment, which was also a subsidiary of Si Corporation, and because of relations between both the families', Lu Xuelon got many endorsements in the entertainment industry and no one wanted to offend her.

However, after graduation, Lu Lan had to struggle too much to get an assistant job.
