Lu Lan was shocked because she knew how much effort she had put to get the job in Finance and Management Department and now if she lost this job, then how could she repay the loan which her parents had taken from a dealer? Although she knew, if she tried for this opportunity, she would reach where she wanted to be.

After some thought, she decided to try her luck and replied "Okay."

Hearing Lu Lan's answer, Si Li's lips slightly curved up.

"You can start from tomorrow." Si Li said and left the room without discussing anything further.

Lu Lan reached Den City after driving for 2 hours. Den City wasn't very developed. The government had been putting efforts to develop it in comparison to other metro cities because of which many companies started their factory here, including Si Corporation who also established its subsidiary here.

Tex Corporation was the subsidiary, whose shares were purchased by Si Corporation. Many shareholders were against this proposal but due to Si Li's pressure, no one dared to go against him.

Now, because of various issues, it was consistently going into the losses, but Si Li had confidence that Tex Corporation would become a profitable company.

Lu Lan reached the Tex Corporation's gate, which was blocked by labourers', as they were on strike. When labourers' leader saw Lu Lan he immediately recognized her and gave hint to his men.

"See, new in-charge of the company is here." One of the men shouted and started throwing eggs on hers.

Before Lu Lan was able to see what was happening, dozens of eggs were already thrown on her.

The manager of the company saw her and immediately sent bodyguards to protect her, but Lu Lan stopped them and went to the stage, which was set up near the gate.

Seeing her confidence, labourers stopped throwing eggs on her. They thought their demands were agreed by the management. But who knew what Lu Lan had planned?

Lu Lan stood in the centre of the stage, held the microphone and confidently announced: "All the labourers who have joined this strike are fired."

Hearing her announcement all labourers were shocked, they never expected that by joining the strike instead of getting the increase in their salary, they would lose their job.

Even the manager was shocked by the announcement because he knew they couldn't afford to lose their labourers. Even during the strike, some of the labourers were working overtime and because of which Tex corporation was paying them extra for overtime, only to complete the customers' order, Due to this even though they were delayed, they were able to complete the orders. However, by firing all the labourers, they wouldn't be able to run this company.
