1 Chapter 1: Victim #26
Recently, murders have been taking place around me. It started in October, and originally wasn't given much thought. But as the months went on, the body count quickly went up to 24 in a matter of only 6 months. This person would later be given the name, the Murderer of Maria Valley.
As I walked up to my dorm, I heard the rain run drops bouncing on the concrete soothingly. "Damn... I'm sooo fukig drunc..."
said Lucy. "Hey be careful. The stairs are really slippery!" I said concerned. "Watevar. Yu wuri tu mach".
When we got to the third floor, Lucy's arm dropped from shoulder. "Thanx fur teiking me home. Meik shure to watch out, dat murdererer has bin gowin arownd, n dey mait getcha!". "Ok ok... Thanks Lucy, have a good night". "Yup!" she exclaimed happily.
"Last week, a new victim was reported. The body was discovered by a couple while on a date in the Maria City Park. The witnesses report finding the body dismembered thoroughly, and has been attributed to the murderer of the previous 24 victims in the past two months".
I can't believe how quick this guys getting around. It's surprising they haven't been caught yet. Hopefully he'll be caught soon. It's starting to freak me out... Especially because that could be me...
"Oh no! it's already 8 and class starts at 8:30! I haven't even gotten ready!" I exclaimed, panicked. "Uhhhhh! Ms. Davis is gonna kill me". I rushed out of my dorm without breakfast and with partially-tied shoes, sprinting to the lecture room as fast asI could.
"-group of 2 to 4 for the project, and have one of your group members submit a list of the people in your group's names. The instructions for the project will be on my desk in the front of the class. Make sure to grab them before leaving. Any questions? Alright so let's discuss-". "Hey Lucy. What was she just talking about?" I whispered. "Just the another fucking group project. It's supposed to be a presentation about mental illness and how it affects the brain" she responded. "That's pretty vague" "I know right".
"Damn that lecture felt so long I wanted to die!" Lucy exclaimed. "Anyway wanna be partners for the project Kai?" " Sure" I responded. "Want to get something eat? I'm starving! I didn't even eat breakfast". "Sure. There's this new place that opened and———". Did Lucy stop talking? No... no no No NO NO! Not right now... Please not right now...
"Yeah sure ramen sounds great!" said Victor.
