9 Chapter Nine: The Story of Lilian and Ana (1)

Lilian's breathing became harsh as she tried to run when she heard a chain hit the ground. It was hard to tell from which direction the clanking noise came from, but all she knew that it meant the killer was set free.

Her body hit the ground with a heavy thud as she tried to take further steps. Lilian saw the Watcher kept her chained, unlike Liam when they let him free to run.

Lilian began to cry as she tried to sink her nails into the concrete ground that was still wet from the water. She crawled forward, trying to build force to break the chain or even her foot, for that matter. Lilian only succeeded in breaking her nails and skin as blood began to appear on the ground.

The others covered their ears, trying to ignore Lilian's anguish cries as she tried to escape from the chain around her foot.

The killer was laughing as they watched Lilian. The Watcher gave the killer night goggles, but that was it; the killer did not mind. They have killed a person before without a weapon.

They silently made their way over to Lilian, bathing in her anguished cries. The woman looked ridiculous. The killer stopped by Lilian's side and bent down as they softly ran their hand down her back.

Lilian went still when she felt the touch. She started to beg as more tears came down her face, "Please don't kill me! Please don't. I am sorry, I will tell the truth, I will tell the truth!"

The killer listened to her beg for her life, becoming bored that she did not struggle as the man (Liam) did. At least he tried to fight his fate; Lilian laid here and accepted hers.

When Lilian felt nothing else happening to her, hope started to fill her body. She thought the killer was not going to kill her. Lilian went back to trying to escape when she finally broke her foot that was chained.

Lilian bit her lip to cover up her scream as pain overrode everything in her body. She broke through her skin with her hard bite, causing her lip to start bleeding.

She ignored the pain and metallic taste in her mouth as she started to crawl out of the chain. When she heard the chain hitting the ground, and the weight was gone, she began to cheer silently through the pain.

But during her silent cheer, she felt her head getting pulled back before it was forcibly slammed on the concrete ground.

The killer was interested as they watched the woman break her foot to free herself. It was amusing, it was exciting, and enough power to get them to kill.

There was a crazed light in the killer's eyes as they grabbed Lilian's hair during her distraction, pulling her head back before slamming it into the ground.

Lilian was confused about what happened as blood was flowing down her face from her broken nose. She opened her mouth and questioningly said, "What," before her head was slammed again.

The killer was mesmerized by the blood, wanting to touch it, but knew they couldn't, so they slammed the woman's head a few times. They were bringing it up each time to see the damage.

Loose teeth were hitting the ground as blood began to pool under Lilian's face and neck. Her face was hard to recognize, as it was utterly disfigured. She had missing teeth, a broken nose, a bruised bloody face, and her forehead had a vast wound on it, showing brain. Lilian's face even looked squished in.

If the killer could laugh at the moment, they would. But, they had to stay silent so no one could figure out who they are.

The others in the room were pale while covering their ears; they could hear the killer smashing Lilian's head into the ground a few times.

When the tenth time came, the killer stopped. They pushed Lilian's body over, so the others could see her face when the lights came on. The killer did struggle with turning Lilian over, but the killer was satisfied when they got it.

They walked back to their podium and saw a hole open in the ground, waiting for them to put the goggles inside it. Once they did, the hole closed up.

Then they put the chain back on them before doing the same position as the others in the room: they had their ears covered while pulling a pale face.

When the lights turned on, the others could not help but turn towards Lilian's dead body.

Catherine quickly looked away as she stared at the door with hard eyes; she felt like gagging.

Elrick covered his mouth to keep a horrified gasp from coming out his mouth as his face turned green; he had to face away.

Kevin could not stare a second longer as he felt like he would throw up all his liquid. They have not eaten at all, so he needs what he had left in his stomach.

Taylor always wanted to see gore in real life (Liam did not count since his death wasn't bad) but facing it made her sick; she turned away.

The little boy closed his eyes once he looked, making a gagging noise before holding his mouth close.

The Watcher laughed at everyone's reaction, knowing that one of them was faking it.

"Round two, completed." The Watcher spoke before pushing a button that caused everyone to pass out while unlocking their chains.

Everyone hit the floor as they were unconscious. The lock to the door clicked open as the hall, outside, moved around.

Ten years ago: Lilian and Ana

"This is the fourth time that we have to change schools because you cannot keep your behavior in check. Lilian, are you listening!" Lilian's mother fussed at her.

They were sitting in a car that was in the school's parking lot. Lilian was resting in the passenger seat as she was scrolling through her phone while sneaking glances at the new school and ignoring her mother.

The mother's face was red with frustration and anger as she watched her daughter deteriorate. At this rate, Lilian was going down the path that would end in jail.

"Lily." Her mother softly spoke, trying to calm her anger. Her therapist told her yelling will not get anywhere.

Lilian did not react to her mother calling her by her nickname as she obnoxiously popped the bubble gum she was chewing. She started laughing at a funny text that her friends sent, getting ready to reply when her phone was snatched out of her hand.

"Hey!" Lilian yelled as she looked at her mother, who was holding her phone.

"Get out." The mother said with gritted teeth as she clenched her daughter's phone. Forget being calm.

"What the hell is your problem?" Lilian asked as she tried to reach for her phone. But her mother slapped her hand away.

"I will not repeat myself. School started, so get out of my car, or I will remove you myself."

Lilian glared at her mother; she was close to calling the woman the word equivalent to a female dog. "Can I have my phone?"

"No." The mother put the phone in the pocket on her side door as she unlocked all the car doors.

Lilian sneered before getting out of the car, grabbing her backpack in a harsh movement as she slammed the car door closed.

She did not look back as she walked into the school with many students hanging around since there was still fifteen minutes before school started.

As Lilian was walking in, pulling out her secret phone that some guy from online bought her for a few photos, she bumped into someone that almost caused her to drop her phone.

A girl with red hair and brown eyes was in front of her as the girl's books were on the ground. "Clumsy much." Lilian mocked, not caring that she was the reason that girl's books were on the floor.

The girl looked up, she wanted to say something, but when Lilian glared at her, she went back to picking up her books. Lilian stepped on one of them before walking into the school.

When school started, Lilian had her schedule and skipped all her classes, staying on the roof to smoke, except for art. Lilian would admit that she loved art, so that was one area she took seriously.

Plus, her art was astounding; no one Lilian met was better than her in her age group. She did not care how cocky and arrogant she sounded.

Lilian walked into art class earlier than everyone else and took a seat in the back, near the windows. Even though she loves art, she likes to sit at the end no matter what; it is easier to text when someone is not supposed to have their phone out.

She started to play on her phone as others filled the room. Lilian was happy that no one sat next to her as class was getting ready to begin.

When the teacher walked in, Lilian set her phone on her lap and saw the redhead girl. She walked in after the teacher, looking around for a spot, and noticed one was open near Lilian.

Lilian sneered as the girl came over and sat next to her. The girl did not even say anything; she faced forward and listened to the teacher.

The teacher talked for a while before doing the roll call. Lilian said, "here," when the teacher got to her. Then she heard the teacher say, "Ana."

The girl next to her softly said, "Here," before sitting back down. The teacher continued as Lilian glanced at the girl.

'Well, Ana, I am going to make you regret sitting next to me.' Lilian thought as she smirked at the girl.
