Chapter 14: Helpful...Barbarians?

Soon after my Goblins were defeated, I revived them and had them fight the Barbarians once again.

Something I noticed was that the Barbarians were warriors, and they loved to fight.

So I used them as training partners for all of my named monsters in the Dungeon.

Turns out that the monsters get exp even if they are defeated so long as it's a battle that they are giving their all in.

Of course, this is very draining on my mana so I used the time that I was using restoring my mana, to give the Barbarians a break and something to eat and drink.

It also appears that even they were highly interested in these spars because, from the absent-minded gazes that were focused on something invisible in front of them, I knew that look from anywhere. It seemed they unlocked the System somehow and even gained some classes!

See, [Barbarian(Male) - Rank 1, Warrior: Level 3], [Barbarian(Male) - Rank 1, Berserker: Level 4], and etc.

[Scan has leveled up to level 4!]

[Scan can now scan the age of the target!]

[Mana Gathering has leveled up to level 4!]

[Mana gain is now set to 40 mana an hour!] (Current mana gain is x2(80) due to the presence of the barbarians)

See! Keeping these Barbarians alive is so beneficial!

Some of the Goblins even leveled up because of them!

Instead of opening the complete Status of the Goblins I instead used [Scan].

After looking at all of the Goblins I found that Ragnar and Bon were the strongest of the other Goblins with them being at the highest level.

With every battle, these two's skills would increase helping them last longer and longer against the Barbarians, but with every battle, the Barbarian's skills increased to, both sides were learning each other's weaknesses and strengths which also helped them become even more skilled at combat.

The Goblins weren't the only ones fighting the Barbarians, of course, the other named monsters, including the unique ones, were fighting the Barbarians, but in the end, it was mostly the Goblins that fought the Barbarians.

To my surprise, with time both sides came to respect each other and the Barbarians had long since noticed the Goblin's revivals.

They went at this all day!

And by all day I meant over 14 hours...

And once those 14 hours passed the Barbarians had to leave, which I both disliked and liked.

With them gone my Goblins lost their sparring partners and I lost my x2 mana buff with them gone, and with them gone I could also go back to expanding the floor which is pretty much all I could do.

But that's not all, I also leveled up because of all of their fights!

While I expanded I started adding natural housing for my dungeon inhabitants, like hollowed-out trees, small caves, large caves, burrows, and more.

Man, I have to say I do love this feeling.

Looking at the vast forest before me that was teeming with life I couldn't help but mentally smile and feel somewhat proud.

Feeling motivated I went back to my expansion.

[A/N: Soon a new portal will be created bringing even more people and creatures to fight in the dungeon]

Soon the morning arrived and I found that the unnamed tribe of people came back...even the woman...

And to my surprise upon using scan on her she had a level...

You see I could easily tell when someone had a system just by this, see look at this.

They don't have a rank or even a level!

That's how I can tell if they gained access to the system.

I could tell she looked a bit uncomfortable and was fidgeting.

Once she separated from the group I spoke to her.

"Would you like to see your child, Yilda?" I asked her.

She jumped in surprise before calming down, "Yes," She replied.

"Then I will try to guide you to her," I told her as I slowly guided her to the Slime girl.

We eventually reached the lake where Yilda lived.

"Yilda, your mother is here to see you," I spoke out towards the lake.

Within moments the water rippled and a blue human figure made of slime came out from the water.
