Time passed

The morning sun illuminated the dark forest on the mountain. In the soft light, a boy of 5'1 could be seen standing under a waterfall while he was punching. This boy was Jiyu he had reached the age of 9 now and slowly 4 years have passed since Gon visited.

Jiyu's insane amount of training didn't slow down at all. Right now he had already mastered everything he could be thought about boxing, wrestling and muay thai. Thus the boy started his own training regime even harder than what he had to endure under the Zoldyck teachers.

The family was quite worried about the young master since he was always gone. He would only return toe at and wash up, of course, he slept at the family house too but most of the time he was out training.

The physical strength of Jiyu was stronger than his father or Gon when they were his age. Right now he could easily open any testing gate without much trouble. Maybe a slight sweat nothing more.

There was 1 year left until Jiyu would leave for the hunter exam.

Yet he didn't tell his family about his goals yet. Thus after a while, the boy could be seen walking away from the waterfall. He was on his way towards his home today would be the day he tells them about him leaving. He didn't know if they would try to keep him at home or that he would be allowed to go.

No matter what they would say he would try to go. He needed to become a hunter to explore this world. It was no lie that the people with the title hunter have a much easier time. Getting into countries that are normally not open to normal people, killing if there is a reason, having influence in the political world. A hunter was no normal existence.

The figure of a young boy walking through the front door could be seen by the Zoldyck butlers. They all looked a bit weird at each other the young master would never return this fast. Jiyu just looked towards one of the butlers when he asked, "where is my family." The butler responded with a slight bow, "your mother and father are in the living room young master" Jiyu just nodded to the butler while he walked away.

A soft thanks entered into the butler's ears. The butler smiled he, of course, knew of the personality of the young master, Jiyu was a boy that seemed indifferent to most things but when somebody would help him he would really appreciate it.

A big living room entered into the sight of Jiyu there he was them sitting on the couch. His mother and father. "I need to talk to you"

Killua and Canary were rather shocked that Jiyu was already home but the serious look on his face made them not comment on it. Killua put his hand to a seat next to him, "come and sit" he said while he looked over at his son. Jiyu slowly sat down while he was turned towards his parents. "I wish to leave" Jiyu decided to get straight to the point well, to be honest, he was not the best with words.

Since it looked like he wanted to leave forever. Canary immediately looked sad while Killua just figured that his son worded it wrong. "What do you mean," Killua asked Jiyu.

Jiyu looked a bit tense while he started to talk, "I wish to take the hunter exam next year" he said. There came no response until Killua talked, "why do you wish to become a hunter" he himself just did it for fun but he didn't want his son to have such weak resolve. An expression of determination grazed the face of Jiyu while he spoke.

"It would help me reach my dream of being the freest person of the world" both parents didn't know of his goal so they were rather shocked at it. This time it was Canary who spoke up, "what do you mean by being the freest person in the world"

Jiyu spoke once more "I wish to be the strongest on this world the one that walks and do what he likes. I wish to be the one with the most adventures. I want to be the one that would fight on the front lines if something would happen. And one thing I really want" Jiyu's expression softened

"to protect those I care about" like this Jiyu had told his parents his dream. They both nodded indicating they found it okay that he would take the Hunter exam. Killua only told Jiyu to come to his study later this day.

The first step to achieving his dream was taken this day.
