8 The First Stage

Sound of walking was heard and the boy that had closed his eyes slowly opened them. Jiyu saw a person that was rather plain looking. Black hair, black eyes, and a normal body build probably about 5'5 in height. The examinator had arrived and all the tough-looking guys in the room smirked.

Thinking themselves to be stronger than the weak looking man. Yet Jiyu knew better when he looked at the man before him he could feel it. Danger the feeling he gets while he looks at those that are so much stronger than himself. It was something that he had since a young age. He could feel the power of those before him with this he would scale how strong someone was.

Standing up and getting ready to follow the man with running like shown in the anime. But the examinator spoke up, "walk with me" is what his voice said. The whole group followed after him until before them was no longer the dark hallway but they saw the light. It was a bright light and when every single person walked out of the dark hallway they saw a massive plane.

Jiyu just stood at the back while watching this scene play out before his eyes. Not caring about what he saw the thing he wanted now was to start this exam. To do something that made his blood boil and his heart rate excited. Some may even call Jiyu an adrenaline junkie wanting to experience things that made him excited. The examinator told the group how the plane would bring them to the destination they would take the first part of the exam.

Everyone boarded the plane and it took off. If one looked out off the plane they would see many beautiful sights. After a while, Jiyu was bored with what he saw and decided to look around the group of people to determine what type of people were at this exam. Also to see if he had to look out for someone. He scanned the room and to be honest.

He was disappointed in the exam his father took there were monsters like Illumi and Hisoka yet here he couldn't find anyone of that degree. At least that's what he thought, for now, he couldn't determine the strength of people that purposely hide it.

The rest of the plane ride was not interesting but then it happened. Some sort of backpack suddenly strapped around everyone's body. Shock was over every single participant in the plane.

A voice that Jiyu knew suddenly entered his ears, "good luck with the first exam. The first exam is to survive in this magical forest beneath you for 3 days." All Jiyu could think was,

'fuck you uncle Gon' because suddenly the floor beneath everyone was gone and they were sent out of the plane. The backpacks they got on their back was a parachute so they wouldn't die before they entered the forest.

Inside an office Gon could be seen sitting at his desk while a woman looked at him, "is this really needed" the woman asked towards the chairmaster. A sigh was released from Gon's body, "sadly it is they need to become stronger and this is a way for that. Near death, experiences are needed for one to grow."

The man knew what threatened the peace they were experiencing. It was a threat bigger than any chimera ant they had faced. Cruel methods were needed to train those of the next generation in hopes of surpassing the old. Some may see it as not needed after all those with the title of hunter could be very strong. But Gon knew he had seen it and experienced it. slowly his hand passed over his shoulder a wound was there. It seemed to be made by some sort of animal.

But it seemed like it could be done by a human too. No one would know what it was that did it. Only if Gon wanted them to know they would understand what happened. It ached when he thought back to the days in that continent. Yet a satisfied smile was plastered on his face while he looked outside the window.

There he saw many new Hunters falling down towards the forest. Most of them were scared and screaming but then there was a young boy carefully assessing his surroundings. Jiyu had potential potential that had to be developed. Gon knew too well that the boy was one that could surpass him. "Show me what you can do kid" Gon whispered with a smirk on his face.

Like this, the first part of the Hunter exam had begun and this may be the cruelest exam that has ever taken place
