the hour passed where he got ready i was already ready so i waited at the end of the throne room vampire nobles and advisors came in as they would spectate the match

"do i have to kill him" i asked

"no but it'd be better if you did" rosalyn said i was a little surprised

"don't get me wrong i love my father however as the future queen i need to support my husband and advise him as the best course and as per custom he will die anyway" she said i sighed and nodded

"alright i'll do it quickly then" i said he walked in the throne room wearing light armor a rapier at his waist the rapier being a vampire's preferred weapon most of the time we both bowed and drew our blades as we circled each other this was a test of strength speed and skill no powers were allowed something i was perfectly okay with i trained with the katana for years i felt confident eventually we both grew tired of walking in circles he went to stab me i parried his strike with a slash of my own

"your armor ways you down" i said he smirked

"true but what can you do" he said as we continued to trade and parry blows neither side really had a means to fully block an attack as we continued i started using my legs to attack sending powerful kicks as well as sword slashes something he did not expect

"i'm just as good with my feet as i am with my blade this was captain soifon's fighting style customized to fit me" i said as we continued to fight eventually i was able to land a kick which launched him off his feet and to the ground where he skidded a few feet i was however on top of him instantly my foot on his stomach my blade at his throat

"so i lose please take of my daughter" he said i smiled and nodded

"good bye dromund tepes" i said as i chopped off his head before slashing my sword clean of the blood and sheathing it

"all hail king alexander theodore rosecroft 13th vampire king" rosalyn said as the room all kneeled before me as rosalyn walked up to me

"ready" she asked in a low voice i nodded and presented my neck which she bit into causing my transformation which by the way felt great it isn't like a werewolf transformation becoming a vampire feels wonderful i was glad vampires had none of the weaknesses the muggles believe the only thing they have right on vampires is we suck blood

"your blood tastes amazing" she said

"i'm excited to taste yours" i said

"not yet the transformation is gradual tomorrow i'll give you a taste" she said i nodded it was fair
