1 Part 1

EXT. GRAHAM'S HOUSE (PORCH) - MIDNIGHT

The scene starts as Charlotte, 21; waves at a departing car with her mother and brother, Charlie, 19; inside.

CHARLIE

(sarcastically speaking)

Bye. Have fun.

CHARLOTTE

(awfully excited)

Bye!

Charlotte suddenly hears whispers, calling her name, but she chose to neglect it.

INT. GRAHAM'S HOUSE (KITCHEN) – MIDNIGHT (LATER)

Charlotte smirks as she glances at the bottle of drugs. Charlottes turns on the speaker, starts dancing to the tune and swallows a tablet of drugs.

Moonlight reflects through her eyes as she senses a sight of a slender young man, beneath the cold and frigid lake.

INT./EXT. GRAHAM'S HOUSE (BACKYARD) – MIDNIGHT (STILL LATER)

Near the foggy lake, Charlotte sees someone dressed like Freddy Krueger as she assumes that it is all in her head.

CHARLOTTE:

Hey! I don't think you're real.

Charlotte approaches the young man and feels something as she awfully notices the crickets.

CHARLOTTE

Them crickets are nuts.

Once she steps outside, the young man had already left. Charlotte proceeds to go nearer to the lake as she still believes that she is hallucinating these. Charlotte decided to go back inside the house. As she turns around, she felt the knife in her back, stabbed by the man.

Charlotte runs as she breathes heavily. The bottle of drugs DROPS from her pocket and ROLLS OFF onto the darkness of the woods.

CHARLOTTE

Why does this hurt so much? This shit ain't real. This is not real.

(looks at the blood)

Holy shit.

INT. KITCHEN – MIDNIGHT (STIL LATER)

Charlotte hides through the wall as she attempts to call her mother. The killer grabs her arm, letting go of the telephone, and STRANGLES Charlotte by the telephone cord as she begs for her life.

CHARLOTTE

(desperately)

Please, I'm begging you. Please don't kill me. Don't kill me. Spare my life, please. I don't want to die. I really don't, please.

CHARLOTTE

(hopelessly and gasping for air)

Please don't kill me. Don't kill me.

The killer stabbed Charlotte, once more, as her blood spreads throughout the entire room.

Scene 2:

EXT./INT. CARLTON'S HOUSE (LIVING ROOM) – AFTERNOON (A YEAR LATER)

Mayor Carlton's children: Billie, 20; and Heather, 18; volunteered to visit the Camp as commemoration of Charlotte's death. Heather and Indie, 18; are introduced, wearing cheerleader uniforms as they enter the house, with Heather's brother, Billie, sitting in the couch and looking disturbed.

Indie is still talking, indistinctly, as Heather LOOKS at Billie.

HEATHER

(concerned)

Hey, are you ok?

BILLIE

Yeah, no. Uhm, Dad doesn't think we should go to the Camp anymore.

INDIE

Oh, yeah. Isn't that where the murder happened?

BILLIE

Yeah, the Camp's around the area but we're there for Charlotte's death anniversary.

HEATHER

Wait, Charlotte? As in Charlie's sister?

INDIE

(excitedly)

Is Charlie going to be there? Is Charlie coming?

BILLIE:

I guess so. I suppose. I mean, we registered to help for that Camp like months ago. Remember? I'm looking at you, Heather.

HEATHER:

(jokingly)

Oh, I intentionally forgot about that.

INDIE

(sarcastically)

She forgot.

Heather and Indie LOOK at each other and then GLANCE at Billie.

Scene 3:

EXT. CARLTON'S HOUSE (PORCH) – NIGHT (LATER)

Indie gets inside her car and leaves the Carlton's house to go home and prepare her clothes and other belongings for the Camp.

INDIE

Bye. See you later!

HEATHER

Later!

INT. CARLTON'S HOUSE (BILLIE'S BEDROOM) – NIGHT (LATER)

Billie STARES at the box of letters with Charlie's name written on it. Billie suddenly hears a thunder as he starts to feel a bit cold.

HEATHER

You excited to see Charlie?

BILLIE

I don't know. I really didn't think the Camp still exist after Charlotte's murder, let alone be open for kids.

HEATHER

Well, what about the letters? Please don't tell me those letters will forever be just stationary.

BILLIE

I just think that it's inappropriate. I mean, we're supposed to be in there for Charlotte.

HEATHER

Oh, come on. You haven't seen each other since Charlie moved away and those letters cost us two sleepless weeks to write.

BILLIE

When the timing is right.

HEATHER

Oh, and by the way, wear our shirt.

BILLIE

Do you really think Charlie still has it?

HEATHER

Why wouldn't he?

Scene 4:

EXT. CAMPSITE – MORNING (A DAY AFTER)

The Camp is set in the woods as the sound of flows of the lake nearby infiltrates the whole forest. Billie arrives with Heather, who's wearing a shirt with a letter H.

Billie wears a jacket to cover his own shirt with a letter B. Heather subsequently GLARES at Billie and scoffs.

BILLIE

I'll remove it later. I just have to say a few words and tell them we're here to commemorate Charlotte's death.

HEATHER

Okay. I need to find Indie.

Heather LEAVES Billie and enters the campsite.

Indie, who is also wearing a shirt with letter I, sneaks upon Heather's back.

INDIE

Have you eaten breakfast?

HEATHER

Already did.

INDIE

Look what I've got from my dear mother.

Indie PULLS OUT a tiny box from her pocket.

HEAHER

What is that?

INDIE

A compass. It was hers, apparently. Just in case we have time to explore the woods.

HEATHER

You know it's illegal, right?

INDIE

Is it?

Indie LAUGHS with Heather.

Kim, 17; Heather and Indie's classmate as well as their rival in cheerleading, runs into Heather's shoulder.

KIM

Watch where you're going, witches.

Heather LOOKS at Indie.

HEATHER

How is she here? Why the hell is she even in here?

Indie LAUGHS at Heather's lack of tolerance.

INDIE

Let's go.

EXT. GRAHAM'S HOUSE (BACKYARD) – MORNING (LATER)

Billie visits Charlotte's crime scene as he sees a bottle of drugs on his way out. He suddenly hears someone grunting and notices a handful of guys drowning and punching Charlie.

Billie RUSHES to save Charlie and grabs one of the bullies.

BILLIE

Hey, what the hell is wrong with you?! Get the hell out of here or I'll bust your goddamn assess!

The bullies SPRINTS OFF as Charlie SPITS blood in the lake.

CHARLIE

(smiles fervently)

It's been a minute.

Billie NOTICES Charlie's shirt with the letter C.

BILLIE

You're wearing it.

Billie SNICKERS as Charlie looks at what Billie is wearing.

CHARLIE

And you're not.

Billie unzips his jacket to let Charlie know that he is in fact wearing their coordinating shirts. Charlie, out of nowhere, HEARS someone whispering his name.

CHARLIE

What'd you say?

BILIE

I didn't say anything. Come on.

Billie and Charlie WALK at the side of the lake as they chat, solemnly thinking of their lives without each other.

CHARLIE

Are Heather and Indie still friends?

BILLIE

Closer than ever.

CHARLIE

To be honest with you, I actually didn't think you guys were coming.

BILLIE

(confused)

Why not?

CHARLIE

Well, it's been 6 months since I moved literally just half an hour away from your house and I haven't heard from any of you guys.

BILLIE

(whispers)

Who broke up with who?

CHARLIE

Oh, come on Bill.

Heather SEES Charlie from the cabin window and immediately approaches him.

HEATHER

What?! I've missed you. So much to catch up on.

Heather HUGS Charlie like a monkey.

Heather, Billie and Charlie walk towards the Camp's Mess Hall as they see Indie feeling breathless and walking.

HEATHER

Hey, you okay?

INDIE

(wheezing)

I can't breathe. Those bitches put peanuts on my freaking breakfast.

Charlie lays Indie on her bed as Billie goes to the Camp Clinic to ask for assistance. Heather CONFRONTS Kim with forthrightness. Heather sees Kim and her friends hiding behind their cabin door as she relentlessly knocks.

HEATHER

Hey, what the hell is wrong with you?! You would go to great lengths of literally killing a person just so you can satisfy your little petty life.

KIM

I don't know what you're talking about. Go away, before you curse this land with you.

Kim GIGGLES with her friends.

EXT./INT. CAMP CLINIC – MORNING (LATER)

Billie enters the Clinic and calls for Nurse Finch, 34; who is nowhere to be seen.

BILLIE

Nurse Finch, we need your help. Somebody ate something they probably shouldn't have.

Charlie HITS Billie's shoulder.

HEATHER

Nurse Finch, any minute now.

Nurse Finch eventually shows at the door and tells them to lay Indie down the bed. Nurse Finch opens the medicine cabinet and grabs some epinephrine.

NURSE FINCH

I always tell campers to be cautious on whatever they do, especially on those you eat. Kids these days think it's funny to pull callow pranks on each other.

INDIE

Oh, no. We're not campers. We actually volunteered to facilitate this whole camp.

HEATHER

Yeah, and we registered months ago. So, we realized it's quite impossible to undo it.

NURSE FINCH

You must be Mayor Carlton's children. You're Indie and you're Charlotte's brother. I'm so sorry about her.

Charlie SMILES to reassure Nurse Finch.

NURSE FINCH

It's so good to see new sets of faces. It's usually those pessimistic kids, complaining about their existence. I need to do something. Is it okay if I leave you just a second?

Nurse Finch LEAVES the Clinic.

BILLIE

She seems nice.

HEATHER

Sure.

Heather and Indie LOOK at each other.

The second Nurse Finch leaves the clinic. Kim and her boyfriend, Calvin, along with their friends, deliberately encroach the clinic, knowing Heather, Billie, Indie and Charlie (HBIC) are inside.

CALVIN

Look, the whole club reunited at last.

CHARLIE

Dude, if you have a problem with me, make sure it stays with me and don't involve them.

KIM

Let me think. Uhm, no. I actually think we have problems with "all" of you. And I think the world is with me when I say this: you're a menace to everyone's lives.

BILLIE

Okay, why don't we all just walk away and go on our different ways and try to not think of us all the time. Like, try really hard. Cause I'd imagine that must be very hard for you to do so.

KIM

You really think our lives belong to you, don't you? Just because your father runs this town, doesn't mean we live by you. Guess what, the golden children of United States of America, you're just like all of us.

CALVIN

Why do you think your father left you in this hell hole?

KIM

Admit it, you guys are no better than us.

Charlie GRIPS Billie's shoulder, telling him to just put up with their nonsense and ignore. Heather and Billie TURN their backs as Kim and Calvin relentlessly attempts to disgruntle them.

CALVIN

Yeah, why don't you continue your vigil light, and while you're at it, set a candle for Charlie too.

The derision quickly turned into a brawl as Billie punches Calvin and Heather slaps Kim. Nurse Finch arrives not a moment too soon and mediate the dispute. Kim and Calvin fled off and stares at them, threatening them that it is not yet finished.

INDIE

Yeah, run for your lives, you skanks!

NURSE FINCH

Okay, that's enough.

Scene 5:

EXT. SIDE OF THE LAKE – DUSK (LATER)

The commemoration of Charlotte's death anniversary is engulfed with nothing but the candles set by HBIC. The atmosphere grows more desolate by time as none of the campers came to pay respect.

CHARLIE

It's alright. Come on, let's just have fun. That's what Charlotte would've wanted.

As Heather, Billie, Indie, and Charlie goes back to the Camp, all of the candles were blow out of the wind. They got back to the Camp only see the Clinic trashed and vandalized.

HEATHER

(shockingly)

What the fuck?

INDIE

You have got to be kidding me.

NURSE FINCH

It happens all the time. I just didn't think it would happen in this time of day.

BILLIE

Don't worry, we'll help you clean this up. Right guys?

CHARLIE

(sarcastic)

Yeah, it'd be fun. I bet Heather and Indie will have their best time.

Charlie and Billie laugh as Heather and Indie look at each other. HBIC grab mops, sponges, and brooms as they start to clean the Clinic.

INDIE

Do you wanna know who I blame for all of the free labor shit we're doing?

HEATHER

No, I really don't.

INDIE

Those goddamn bullies. Why can't they let Nurse Finch do whatever she does? It's not like she's doing something that inevitably ruins the world.

CHARLIE

It's not what she does that pisses them off. It's her son.

Heather and Indie LOOK at Charlie.

CHARLIE

Roby Finch killed some people on the hospital he worked in. Apparently, he cuts off their heads, or something like that.

Heather, Billie and Indie FURROW their eyebrows.

BILLE

Jesus Christ. Did they catch him already?

CHARLIE

Some said they saw him jump off the bridge. But I don't know.

Charlie continues to mop the floor as he gets aggressive by second. Suddenly, his head hurts and catches SUBOPTIMAL SERIES OF VISIONS on the eldritch murders brought by the lake.

BILLIE

You okay?

Charlie nods and goes outside for some breath of fresh air. Billie, without a doubt, follows Charlie to comfort him like the way he never did when Charlie moved away months ago.

Scene 6:

INT. CAMP CLINIC – NIGHT (LATER)

Heather and Indie are left inside the Clinic, scrubbing the floor, as Nurse Finch also goes outside.

HEATHER

Do you agree that I'm some golden child, like no bullshit?

INDIE

No, I don't.

HEATHER

They ain't wrong, that's for sure. I get everything I want easily and I do oftentimes take them for granted. I mean, I already got a scholarship to some university without even trying.

INDIE

That's not true. I know you know you work so hard to get what you truly desire. It's not your fault you're talented...smart, funny, hot, and very, very beautiful.

HEATHER

Oh, shut up.

EXT. SIDE OF THE LAKE – NIGHT (STILL LATER)

Billie follows Charlie onto the lake as he sees Charlie breathing the air, literally.

BILLIE

Hey, slow down. You breathe in too much air, you'd be farting all night.

Charlie CHUCKLES.

CHARLIE

I feel so weird. I couldn't quite explain it.

BILLIE

Look, I didn't have a chance to say how sorry I am when I wasn't there to be your friend, when you clearly needed me to be.

CHARLIE

It's alright. Everything's fine.

BILLIE

Yeah, you always say that. But are you really okay?

CHARLIE

I'm fine. I am now.

Charlie and Billie GAZE at each other.

CHARLIE

I think I'm still bummed out about our last lavish date at Berman's.

Billie CHUCKLES nervously.

CHARLIE

I figured you canceled the reservation after I called it quits.

BILLIE

Oh, I almost forgot. I found this and it has Charlotte's name on it. Was she using this?

Billie GIVES the bottle of drugs to Charlie.

CHARLIE

Yeah, uhm. She used this to go to sleep sometimes.

Charlie STARES confusingly at the bottle.

CHARLIE

Hey, where'd you say you found this, again?

BILLIE

On your backyard.

Scene 7:

INT. CAMPSITE (KIM'S CABIN) – NIGHT (LATER)

Kim's cabin is what you expected to be: filled with her friends, sharing rumors and making one, talking about each other – in front and their backs- as Kim's eyes starts to feel watery.

KIM

I think there's something in my eye. I'm gonna go take the bathroom.

Because of their loud voices, it seems that no one noticed Kim's departure. Kim went to the bathroom, puts running water in her eye and looks through the reflection of her eye to see if there is any dirt.

Upon staring at her eye's reflection, WE FOCUS ON KIM'S IRIS as she instead sees the killer's reflection, attacking her from behind.

EXT. SIDE OF THE LAKE – NIGHT (STILL LATER)

Kim's scream was heard beyond the cabin as Billie and Charlie's warm conversation was utterly interrupted.

BILLIE

The hell was that?

CHARLIE

Horror stories, probably.

Kim's demise is left with no attention from Billie and Charlie as well as the rest of the campers whatsoever. This resembles the reality of how our lives continue as one ends.

INT. CAMP CLINIC – NIGHT (STILL LATER)

Billie and Charlie return to the Clinic with Heather and Indie left by Nurse Finch, exactly 15 minutes ago.

HEATHER

Oh, here goes the newlywed couple!

INDIE

We figured you guys decided to get married while we're out here scrubbing the floor.

BILLIE

Relax.

Billie GLANCES at Charlie.

HEATHER

Did you see Nurse Finch on your way here?

CHARLIE

Uh, no. Where is she, now that you mention it?

Heather and Indie SHRUGS.

BILLIE

Let's finish this up, you guys.

Scene 8:

EXT. CAMPSITE – NIGHT (LATER)

Nurse Finch, who's about to face her infelicitous luck, finds her way back to the Camp as she notices a lady's silhouette inside one of the campers' cabin.

She hides behind the door, looking at the window and witnessing another camper's odious death, whose head was cut-off by the revolving blade of an electric fan.

Nurse Finch is unable to work out what to do or say and gasped out of shock. After seeing a tragic incident, she sprints off and comes across Calvin, who just found Kim's body in the bathroom, drowning in her own blood.

NURSE FINCH

Calvin, have you seen Billie and Heather? Where are they?

CALVIN

How should I know?

NURSE FINCH

Okay, I need you to do something. Get every camper out of here and drive the bus for me. I'll take care of the others.

Nurse Finch THROWS the key for the bus at Calvin.

WE FOCUS ON A TREE as the wind rustled lightly. Nurse Finch illuminates the tree by a flashlight, only to see her son, Roby Finch, holding an axe. Roby runs after Nurse Finch while swaying his axe at everything he comes across of.

NURSE FINCH

(breathless)

Please, son. It's me. It's me. Don't do this. Please.

Charlie goes outside the Clinic catching a glimpse of Nurse Finch running towards the Clinic. Billie, Heather, and Indie look through the window as they saw Roby Finch relentlessly running after Nurse Finch.

EXT./INT. CAMPSITE – NIGHT (LATER)

Charlie grabs a branch of tree to hit Roby with as Billie also finds a gun in Nurse Finch's cabinet.

INDIE

(frantic)

Do you even know how to use that?

BILLIE

(shriveled)

God, no.

EXT./INT. CAMPSITE – NIGHT (STILL LATER)

Charlie swings the branch, hitting Roby on the head numerous times. Charlie is perplexed after seeing Roby's head turned into water and subsequently regenerates his head.

WE HEAR Billie and Indie shouting at Charlie, telling him to get inside already. Billie grabs Charlie's arm, dragging him inside the Clinic.

CHARLIE

(in shock)

Why won't he die?

HEATHER

(agitated)

He's supposed to be dead, remember?

Roby Finch begins to WRECK THE DOOR with his axe, trying to get ahold of someone. Nurse Finch deliberately attempts to protect them from the killer and shoves them in an underground cave.

NURSE FINCH

(panic-stricken)

It'll all be painfully clear enough soon. 1 step forward, 3 steps back from where you're standing right now. Once you get out, keep going north and you'll seek for shelter.

From the gap overhead, they caught the sight of Nurse Finch's head relinquished on the floor. However, nothing refrains Roby Finch from killing another person as he persistently strikes at the barricade until he hears a whistle not so far away.

Scene 9:

EXT. CAMPSITE – NIGHT

Calvin, who's been tasked to get every camper on the bus, gives another camper the keys as he blows a whistle without having a forethought of the consequences. This catches the attention of Roby Finch and is now in his way to end Calvin's life.

CALVIN

(realizes the attention he made)

Oh no.

Calvin SPRINTS OFF, going inside the woods once more.

CALVIN

(distraught)

Shit, shit, shit.

Calvin is then left by the bus as he covers his senses, preventing to hear the tumultuous screams of the people who faced their finality abruptly.

Scene 10:

INT. CAVE – NIGHT

Heather, Billie, Indie and Charlie are still on the cave when they hear another scream that, once more, shriveled their souls.

CHARLIE

(indifferent)

That is the sixth time, tonight.

HEATHER

You're counting it?

INDIE

(anxious)

We have to get out of here.

BILLIE

(tries to hide his fear)

What did she say? 1 step forward, what?

HEATHER

1 step forward, 3 steps backwards from where we are standing. So, basically, 2 steps forward.

BILLIE

Heather, you count how many times we move forward.

Scene 11:

EXT. TOWN HALL – NIGHT

The bus, filled with every camper's trauma, finally arrives at the town hall and comes across Mayor Carlton, who is also in a hurry.

CAMPER #1

Sir, you ought to lock down the whole Camp.

MAYOR CARLTON

Have you seen Billie and Heather?

CAMPER #1

They're with the nurse of the camp. I...I think they're still at the camp with Indie and the uhm, the dead girl's brother.

MAYOR CARLTON

Okay, report everything you know that happened to the police. I need to go back at the Camp.

Scene 12:

INT. CAVE – MIDNIGHT

The cave reeks of manure and rust as the combination of silence and fear creeps through the walls of the cave. Heather and Billie are still counting their way out of the cave along with Indie and Charlie behind them.

BILLIE

1 step...2 step.

INDIE

(looks up and sees a barricade)

Holy shit!

BILLIE

How many times, Heather?

HEATHER

13.

INDIE

We need something to smash it with.

CHARLIE

Wait, wait, wait. We don't need anything to open it.

(looks at Billie, Heather and Indie)

Can you guys carry me?

INDIE

He's the lightest.

EXT. FOREST – MIDNIGHT (LATER)

Billie, Heather, and Indie carries Charlie for him to reach the barricade. Charlie unscrews the hex bolt with his bare hands, that ultimately opens the barricade and lets him get out of the cave first.

He extends his arm to help the others get out of the cave. Once all of them gets out, Heather looks around as Indie locks her eyes on something in the dark.

HEATHER

I don't think we're at the camp anymore.

BILLIE

Yeah, no shit.

Indie GRIPS on Billie's arm.

INDIE

(whispers)

Guys...

All of them looked at the dark as the killer, who's holding somebody else's arm, comes forward to the light. Nobody ventured to utter a word or even move a muscle.

Billie pulls out the gun from earlier as he gets ready to pull the trigger any minute. The sound of cocking the gun provokes the killer as he is now walking in a fast pace. Billie, with his eyes closed, shoots the killer twice.

The killer seems to be immune from the bullets as Billie pulls the trigger once more until the gun runs out of bullets.

BILLIE

(whispers)

Run.

(throws the gun at the killer's head)

Heather, Biller, Indie run for their lives with Charlie behind them. They each look for a tree, hiding their bodies from the killer. Once more, silence and fear permeates throughout the woods.

Indie sees the killer behind Charlie's tree, preparing to slash Charlie. Indie, without a doubt, howls like a wolf to spare Charlie's life.

The killer is now RUNNING AFTER Indie, who is panting and gasping for air.

The killer GRABS Indie's hair and goes on top of Indie to strangle her.

INDIE

(gasping)

No, no, no!

Heather, Charlie, and Billie run towards Indie as Heather hits the killer with a huge branch of tree.

HEATHER

You okay?

Indie coughs and nods.

CHARLIE

Come on. Let's go!

They keep running away from the killer until they finally lost him.

Scene 13:

INT. POLICE STATION – MIDNIGHT

A handful of campers calls the police station and reports the tragic incident at the Camp.

ON POLICE'S PHONE

POLICE

What do you need?

CAMPER #1 (O.S.)

There's uhm...massacre at the camp we were in. You guys need to check it out. There's a killer beneath the woods.

Policeman rolls his eyes, lacking of interest.

CAMPER #1 (O.S.)

You can call Mayor Carlton and he'll second to us.

POLICE

You know what? I'm not going to bother the Mayor for your immature pranks.

The line ends as the deaths of numerous campers are left with injustice.

Scene 14:

INT. MAYOR CARLTON'S CAR – MIDNIGHT

In a gloomy street, where no other vehicles are passing, Mayor Carlton is seen driving the speeding car while attempting to call a person named "Sheriff O'Connell".

The line ENDS as there is no source of signal.

MAYOR CARLTON

Shit!

(puts the phone down)

Scene 15:

EXT. FOREST – MIDNIGHT

Heather, Billie, Indie, and Charlie stop in the middle of the woods to catch a breather and dwell on the grim reality they are currently facing.

INDIE

(in-shock)

Why are they so many of them?

Heather NOTICES at Indie, having a panic attack.

CHARLIE

Does anybody feel so cold?

Billie TAKES OFF his jacket and puts it on Charlie.

BILLIE

Let's find a shelter as Nurse Finch told us to.

Heather SITS beside Indie.

HEATHER

Can you still keep going?

INDIE

I don't know.

Heather HOLDS Indie's hand to reassure her.

HEATHER

We're gonna get through this.

CHARLIE

Nurse Finch said keep going north.

BILLIE

North? Where's north?

CHARLIE

I can find north, but it's a whole process.

HEATHER

Indie knows. Your mother's compass.

Indie PULLS OUT her mother's compass as they navigate a way to find a shelter.

Scene 16:

EXT. CAMPSITE – MIDNIGHT

Mayor Carlton arrives at the Camp as he immediately sees Billie's car unattended. He enters the Camp with nothing but a bat on his hand and might on his pocket.

He goes inside the Clinic to find his children, only to see Nurse Finch's body dropped dad on the floor.

MAYOR CARLTON

You said you'd protect them.

Mayor Carlton walks around the Camp and grabs every dry tree bark he can to start a fire.

Scene 17:

EXT. FOREST – MIDNIGHT

As time progresses, Heather, Billie and Indie eventually feel numbness on their legs. Upon walking and exploring the depths of the woods, what they found are branches of tree they can hold onto, and not a shelter they can use.

INDIE

We've been walking for hours.

BILLIE

Is it just me or the night in this forest feels like forever?

A thunderclap makes their blood run cold as Charlie, once again, sees the visions of murders that happened in the forest.

A RUSTLE in the dark can be heard as footsteps comes within sight.

CAMPER #2

HELP!!!!!

All of them runs in the direction of north, persistent on finding the shelter.

CHARLIE

Keep going north! Follow Indie!

Charlie keeps a firm hold of the branch as he swings it on the killer's head, hitting him numerous times. Charlie does not stop thumping the killer violently.

BILLIE

Charlie, stop!

Charlie's ears RING, preventing him to hear Billie. Billie snatches the branch from Charlie.

BILLIE

(calm)

Charlie, you can't kill it. Come on.

Heather and Indie are ahead, along with the other camper, as they see a fluorescent light not far away. While running away, another killer attacks the camper. Heather and Indie tried to hit the killer, but failed as the killer chomps the branch of tree.

The house is locked as it seems like every passageway is secured by numerous padlocks. Heather found a gap between the window as they try to open using the branches of tree.

INT. MELINDA'S HOUSE (LIVING ROOM) – MIDNIGHT (LATER)

They bolt around the room as they are suddenly welcomed with knives aimed at their necks by Melinda, 34; the owner of the house.

BILLIE

(alarmed)

Wait, wait, wait! We're not killers.

Melinda GLARES at them suspiciously.

BILLIE

(calm)

I'm Billie Carlton. This is my sister, Heather.

CHARLIE

I'm Charlie.

INDIE

(friendly)

My name's Indie.

Indie EXTENDS her arm to shake Melinda's hand.

MELINDA

Carlton? Andy Carlton?

HEATHER

Yes. We're his children. Uhm, us two.

Heather POINTS at herself and Billie.

INDIE

Why? Do you know him?

MELNDA

(distracted)

Uhm, briefly.

Melinda tries NOT TO MAKE EYE CONTACT.

Billie NOTICES Melinda's boa filled with newspapers about the murders at the woods.

MELINDA

What are you doing here? You're not supposed to be in here.

CHARLIE

We're supposed to facilitate the Camp.

BILLIE

And to commemorate Charlotte's first death anniversary. You may know her.

Billie POINTS at the board.

Melinda COVERS the board in haste.

Heather and Indie look at each other.

MELINDA

I don't get visitors quite often. It's usually Mrs. Finch and I but...

Indie INTERRUPTS.

INDIE

Wait, Mrs. Finch, the nurse? Nurse Finch?

HEATHER

She, uhm. She saved us from one of the killers.

MELINDA

(trying to process the information)

Oh.

BILLIE

She sacrificed herself to save us.

Melinda TURNS AWAY from them.

MELINDA

Will you give me a minute?

Melinda LEAVES the room.

Heather notices Charlie, who's been awfully quiet.

HEATHER

Charles, are you okay?

Charlie merely NODS.

They hear another roaring sound of thunder, as the lighting struck a tree nearby. Indie, who's startled by the thunderclap, inadvertently holds Heather's hand.

Melinda enters the room as her arms are filled with women's clothes.

MELINDA

I think you need to change. The killers may potentially find you because of all the blood dripping in you.

Billie and Charlie notice the clothes are all for women.

MELINDA

Oh, I don't have anything for men.

INDIE

(sarcastic)

That's okay. Billie and Charlie will have their pleasure wearing those.

Heather and Indie look at each other and laugh.

Scene 18:

INT. MELINDA'S HOUSE (BATHROOM) – MIDNIGHT

Billie and Charlie get inside the spacious bathroom to change and wash off their blood. Billie notices Charlie having a hard time to clean the blood on his back.

Billie grabs a piece of cloth, soaks it with running water, and wipes it on Charlie's back. They have difficulty in breaking the silence as their tension did not hesitate to grow.

CHARLIE

(randomly)

I'm having nightmare. Like, visions of people dying tragically.

Biller continues to wipe off the blood on Charlie.

CHARLIE

(sarcastic)

I don't know. I just had a forethought: Charlotte was murdered, my mother got in a car crash and you know, don't mind me, I'm just here being chased by a bunch of serial killers.

Billie STOPS wiping off to reassure Charlie.

BILLIE

Hey, we're gonna get out of here. And besides I'm going to get us a reservation at Berman's.

Billie makes Charlie laugh.

BILLIE

I promise.

They touch each other's index finger as a sign of promise.

Billie GAZES at Charlie, getting lost in his eyes. Charlie subsequently stares at Billie and kisses him.

Somebody KNOCKS at the bathroom door and interrupts Billie and Charlie.

HEATHER

Hey, both of your 10 minutes is done! Get the hell out! I really need to pee.

Scene 19:

INT. MELINDA'S HOUSE (LIVING ROOM) – MIDNIGHT

Melinda enters the room with Indie all alone, sitting on the couch awkwardly. Melinda, who has been staring at Indie for a while, sits beside Indie.

INDIE

(awkward)

Hey.

MELINDA

I'm trying to figure you out.

INDIE

I beg your pardon?

Indie awkwardly CHUCKLES.

MELINDA

Well, I know Andy Carlton's children, I know Charlotte's brother...and

INDIE

Ahh, you're trying to figure out where do I fit in this narrative.

MELINDA

No offense or anything. But why hang out with these kids?

INDIE

I met Heather first. Or maybe she met me. I was going through sort of parent's divorce, type of pain. But it's a double kill, where my father was murdered right after he left us and now my mother is in jail.

Melinda stares at Indie, looking concerned.

INDIE

You were asking me why I'm friends with these freaks? Because Heather, who's a total stranger, was there for me. I wasn't aware at the time, but Heather was also experiencing the same thing. The same pain.

MELINDA

(whispers)

Carol finally ends it with Andy.

INDIE

(confused)

Uh, yeah. Carol is Heather's mother. How do you know that?

Melinda LOOKS AWAY from Indie.

MELINDA

We knew each other back in high school. Those two were inseparable...like you and Heather.

Indie looks at Melinda, bewildered.

INDIE

Oh. We're not, you know.

MELINDA

I think otherwise. You made me believe that Heather Carlton is the most good-hearted person in the world. And something tells me you barely met anyone like her.

Indie SMILES.

Heather ENTERS the scene, all dressed up and clean. Melinda leaves the two of them as Heather stares at Melinda, thinking she might've said something to Indie.

HEATHER

She got inside your head, didn't she?

INDIE

No.

Indie SCOFFS.

INDIE

She actually made me realize something.

HEATHER

Okay, but whatever it is, you're not nothing. I just presume that's what she said.

INDIE

No, that's not what she said.

Heather STARES at Indie, fervently.

INDIE

(awkward)

I like you.

Heather CHUCKLES.

HEATHER

(in-shock)

What?

INDIE

Do you want me to reiterate that? I like everything about you. I like that I caught myself staring at your face even if you're just in mind.

Heather cannot utter a single syllable.

HEATHER

I don't know what to say. I...I can't believe this.

Indie looks disheartened.

HEATHER

I like you too, Indie. God, I like you before we even started to become friends. And I honestly don't know if I still want to get out of here alive, but I'm pretty sure you just gave me a reason to try again, breathe, and live.

INDIE

What reason is that exactly?

HEATHER

You know who.

Indie and Heather SMILE at each other.

Scene 20:

INT. MELINDA'S HOUSE (LIVING ROOM) – DAWN

All of them, dressed and cleaned, gather together and discuss how they can venture out of the woods without getting killed.

MELINDA

Look, I know a way out of here and I can lead the way.

HEATHER

What are you not telling us? Clearly, you know better than any of us.

MELINDA

All I know is that they can't be killed. I came across one, many many years ago. What you can do is slow them down, run and try not to die while doing it.

Heather and Indie look at each other.

MELINDA

There's a pattern, you see.

Melinda GRABS every newspaper on her board.

MELINDA

The killers usually have a target, a person to be killed and they'll stop. Then, they'll find another target to kill.

INDIE

Okay, if you know all this shit is happening in this forest, why are you still living here?

MELINDA

Well, I'm trying to solve the case. Nurse Finch and I were. Each time police or an investigator goes through these woods, their bodies are never found...along with the others.

Melinda LOOKS at Charlie, implying her sister's body.

CHARLIE

(whispers)

Charlotte.

MELINDA

I'm sorry about your sister.

CHARLIE

We're sorry about your friend.

BILLIE

Okay, but they're not alive and they're also not dead. So, what are they? Why are they all in this forest alone?

MELINDA

I don't know what they are.

Melinda RUMINATES deeply.

MELINDA

But like I said, they have a target. And I assume they'll follow that person wherever it goes.

Scene 21:

EXT./INT. FOREST – DAWN

Melinda goes out to the woods as she gathers more branches of trees they can use as weapons. She left the house with Heather, Billie, Indie, and Charlie, whose stomachs start to rumble.

Charlie thought of cooking for them, he turns on the burner as the smoke spreads throughout the entire forest.

EXT./INT. FOREST – DAWN (LATER)

The beginning of morning twilight appears as the killers starts to follow the growing smoke coming from Melinda's house. The 'Intro of Bohemian Rhapsody' is accompanied by the consecutive thunderclaps n the sky as the killers engulfed the house. Heather turns around, seeing the killers running towards them.

HEATHER

Oh, no. Charlie! Turn off the burner! NOW!

INT. MELINDA'S HOUSE – DAWN (STILL LATER)

The 'Ballad Section' begins as Heather, Billie, Indie, and Charlie look at the window to see all of the killers coming after them. They hold hands together, already knowing and accepting their fate.

CHARLIE

I'm so sorry.

INDIE

Charlie, no. We're all in this together.

BILLIE

(sarcastic)

Yeah, you can take all of that credit for yourself.

Heather looks HESITANT as she keeps looking at his surroundings.

HEATHER

This is bullshit. None of us is dying!

Heather PULLS everyone's arms out of the house, escaping the bloodbath that was supposed to happen.

EXT. FOREST (MELINDA) – DAWN (STILL LATER)

The 'Guitar Solo of the Song' goes along with Melinda ultimately hearing the shouting nearby as she expedites to obtain all weapons they can use.

EXT. FOREST (HBIC) – DAWN (STILL LATER)

Once again, thunder withers the forest as numerous trees are struck by lightning. Heather, Billie, Indie, and Charlie runs for their lives, played with the 'Operatic Section of Bohemian Rhapsody'. This exudes all of the terror and nightmares of every person beneath the entirety of the woods.

Melinda CATCHES UP with Heather, Billie, Indie, and Charlie, who are still shivering with fear. Melinda gives everyone a weapon to protect themselves with, as it is accompanied by the 'Hard Rock Segment'. They all SWING their weapons with intensity and ardor, hitting the killers as their heartbeats grew faster by second.

A fire at the Camp, set by Mayor Carlton earlier, catches Melinda's attention.

MELINDA

There! Follow the smoke!

EXT. CAMPSITE – MORNING (STILL LATER)

The 'Reflective Outro Coda' sets about all of them running towards the fire, getting their way out of the woods. Melinda LEADS the way out of the forest whereas Indie was wounded by some torn. Her blood DROPS on the lake as she endures the pain and kept running with the others.

Charlie is RUNNING BEHIND while they leave the Camp, the lake, and every misadventure they'd encounter beneath the woods. The 'Last Beat of Bohemian Rhapsody' DROPS, as the killer, same one as Charlotte's killer, STABS Charlie's back.

They all TURN their heads, seeing Charlie draw his last breath.

BILLIE

NO!!! Charlie, No!!!

CHARLIE

GO! Let me go! Go.

Mayor Carlton, who has been waiting the entire time at the Camp, GRABS Billie inside his car along with the others.

Scene 22:

EXT./INT. CARLTON'S CAR – MORNING

The car window REFLECTS how each of them cope with the reality. Heather, who is in denial; Billie, who is crying as if his would break; and Indie, who is still traumatized.

Scene 23:

EXT. CEMETERY – MORNING (AFTER TWO DAYS)

Heather, Billie and Indie go to another burial ceremony as realized the fate Charlotte had, proceed to be Charlie's finality all along: another grave without a body.

HEATHER

Is anyone in this cemetery actually have their bodies buried six feet under?

INDIE

Heather, that's not funny.

All of them are left, STARING at Charlie's tomb, placed beside his sister's own grave.

Scene 24:

INT. CARLTON'S HOUSE (BILLIE'S BEDROOM) – MORNING (LATER)

Back at the Carlton's house, Billie is seen packing his clothes and other belongings as he is expected to visit his mother and spend at least a week.

HEATHER

You're really doing it.

BILLIE

Mom needs someone for the summer. It'll be only for a week.

Heather WALKS around Billie's room.

HEATHER

Just don't forget.

BILLIE

Don't forget what?

HEATHER

The possibility that Charlie is alive.

BILLIE

Oh, come on. We saw what happened.

Heather INTERRUPTS Billie.

HEATHER

No, we didn't. We saw him get stabbed in the back. If there's anyone out of four of us capable of surviving that forest alone, that's Charlie. And you know that.

Billie REALIZES something.

BILLIE

(whispers)

We have to go back.

HEATHER

Are you serious?

Heather GLARES at Billie.

HEATHER

Please don't. Not without us.

Billie merely NODS and LEAVES the room.

Scene 25:

EXT. CARLTON'S HOUSE (PORCH) – MORNING (LATER)

Heather and Indie WAVES goodbye at a car with Mayor Carlton and Billie inside.

BILLIE

(sarcastic)

Bye. Have fun.

HEATHER

(awfully excited)

Bye!

The car DEPARTS as Heather glances at Indie.

HEATHER

You know, no one is in the house.

Heather and Indie LOOK at each other.

Scene 26:

INT. CARLTON'S HOUSE (HEATHER'S ROOM) – MORNING (LATER)

Heather and Indie starts making out as it is immediately interrupted when Indie suddenly sees vision of Charlie getting stabbed.

INDIE

(startled)

What the hell was that?

HEATHER

You okay?

INDIE

(nauseous)

I don't feel so good.

HEATHER

Let me get you some water.

INDIE

No, no, no. It's okay. I think I need to go home and rest.

HEATHER

(concerned)

Okay, I understand. Please be safe.

Indie LEAVES Heather's room.

Scene 27:

EXT. CARLTON'S HOUSE (PORCH) – MORNING (LATER)

Indie, who is still disturbed, walks out of the house as she comes across Mayor Carlton, who had just arrived.

INDIE

Andy, Billie had just gone. I'm so sorry, but you missed him.

MAYOR CARLTON

No, no. We've said our goodbyes last night.

Indie smiled as she turned against Mayor Carlton.

MAYOR CARLTON

Indie, may I have a word? It'll be just a moment.

Indie NODS.

MAYOR CARLTON

Heather, as you may know of, will be moving soon to study at Dalton University. You do know that?

Indie NODS.

MAYOR CARLTON

I just seem to think that we should prevent ourselves from making such comitments, especially when you're not far away from being separated for college.

Indie is left speechless.

MAYOR CARLTON

Well, that is except if you have plans in studying at Dalton?

MAYOR CARLTON

I think that really is for me to decide. But as far as the other problem goes, I believe Heather and I are mature enough to handle those ourselves, Mayor Carlton.

Mayor Carlton, who is still concerned, gets inside the house as Indie, who is both ashamed and frustrated, gets inside her car.

Once more, Indie's neck CRACKS as she envisions someone hanged in a tree, near the lake beneath the woods.

THE END

HEATHER, BILLIE, INDIE, AND CHARLIE WILL RETURN TO THE WOODS. (PART 2)
