I arrived back in my cabin, feeling excited for what was about to come. Honestly? I wasn't afraid of a war, in fact I welcomed it. A war was exactly what I needed to progress further once I hit Minor God. Cause without something big, it might actually take me decades to become true God with my current speed.
After a few seconds of planning and pondering, I went outside to call a council meeting. 'All the demigods should be back by now.'
Creating a big war horn, I blew the device to call everyone out. "Counselors to me! Everyone proceed with their day as usual. Go eat your dinner, sing and dance a little. Go wild. I don't care."
I disintegrated the horn with a flare of electric discharge, and flew towards the big house, proceeding to the meeting room.
In but a few minutes the rest of the counselors trickled in. Annabeth for Athena, Luke for Hermes, Clarisse for Ares, Silena for Aphrodite, Charles for Hephaestus, Lee Fletcher for Apollo, Katie for Demeter, and Pollux for Dionysus. The common cabin followed my lead so they didn't have anyone particular yet.
"Good, I don't have much time. I'll be leaving soon." I started, only to notice the bunch staring at me, confused. "Oh, sit down already guys."
I waved them down and they all started taking their place around the ping-pong table.
"So, what's this about?" Lee asked lazily as he relaxed back in his chair.
"God-fighting season two. Episode one is Zeus vs Poseidon."
Lee almost fell off his chair as he sat up in surprise. All the other looked at me with varying degrees of scandalized but amused eyes. I couldn't help but notice how smug Luke looked though...
Or was I being overly suspicious of anything he does nowadays?
"But...things were so normal when we were there." Annabeth stated disparagingly, as if not knowing about it already was the biggest mistake of her life.
"Yeah well, I wouldn't know about that. But I've been given a quest by dear father. I won't be around here for the next few months."
They looked at me uncomprehending, the looks on their faces screamed 'Why the fuck should that matter to us?' To be fair, I usually always left the camp for one thing or the other quite a bit.
That did not mean their shamelessly uncaring faces didn't irritate me.
"That means Mr. D will be the highest authority around, you ungrateful brats." I snarked at them.
Satisfaction filled me as they all blanched in horror. Even Luke. Poor Pollux didn't know if he should defend his father or join in on shitting him.
"Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Cry now you little cretins, see if I help any of you when he turns you into a cockroach." I gloated, further putting salt on their wounds.
I laughed cruelly at their pleading faces, ignoring the commotion they made as everyone started crowding me, begging with joined hands to stay.
"Now now, children. Settle down. I, your merciful guardian, wouldn't just leave you alone now, would I? I've already created devices that will let you contact me without inviting any monsters."
I distributed the devices to all of them. They were slightly bigger than phones but didn't work on normal electricity and network. Instead, they worked with my personal divine energy powering them.
They were inspired by father's statue, and basically enabled me to teleport back to camp instantly. These devices were directly connected to my own main one, so I simply needed to give a call, and a direct path of electricity will be formed with any other device of my choice.
Then, I can become lightning and slip into the said path to travel wherever these 8 divine phones may be. Though a part of credit went to Hephaestus cabin who did most of the heavy lifting for me.
After distributing the devices, all the counselors came to hug me goodbye.
They might act uncaring, but I knew most of them saw me like an older brother.
Except Luke, Anna lite, and Pollux, all the others were led to the safety of camp by me, some even on the verge of death. And now, I was going back to the real world, where monsters would hunt me constantly, and Hera would be out for my blood.
They all knew the threats to my life, and they reacted appropriately. My heart was soft putty as my little dumplings shed a tear or two.
"Please, come back soon." Silena whispered as she hugged me, giving a peck on my cheeks before leaving.
It was a testament to Charles trust in me that he didn't grew jealous. I gave the guy a tight 'manly' hug before he too left. Luke...he just smacked me in the back, like he knew I wouldn't die anytime soon. Which was true, to be honest. But still, I couldn't help but feel like we've grown apart once again. Especially considering how quickly he walked out, as if he had more important business to attend.
Everyone except Annabeth soon left as well, while the girl herself looked to be hesitatingly waiting to talk to me alone.
"Anna lite?" I asked, mussing her hair softly.
"Stop that." She whined but didn't stop me, or even look at me for that matter. Her cheeks were red, and she was most definitely blushing.
I sighed. I was aware of her crush, but she was one of the few females I wouldn't want to be sexually active with, even if she grew up to be a beautiful woman. I can have many intimate partners, but I could never have enough friends.
True friends who weren't after my looks or power.
I didn't wish to ruin the girl who genuinely cared for me.
"C'mon, talk to me." I poked her cheeks. "What's eating you up?"
She glanced at me from behind her blonde locks of hair. "I want a quest. No, listen!"
She interrupted me the moment I opened my mouth.
"I'm not too young, just tell me the problem. Please? I can help. You know I can."
I stared in her eyes, looking deeply inside her, noticing the steely determination to prove herself, the pride and confidence in her knowledge, the thirst for more...and I also saw the sharp hubris, looming over her entire self.
I sighed. "You will get a quest, Anna, you know that. But you are not ready right now."
Her eyes started getting teary and she turned back, but I gripped her arm and dragged her around.
"Look. Hey, look at me Annabeth." I waited for her to meet my eyes. "You will have a quest soon, alright? Something big is coming. Perhaps even a war. And you will have plenty of opportunities to prove yourself, I promise you. You trust me right?"
She didn't even hesitate as she nodded, before throwing herself at me.
I wrapped my hands around her, swaying back and forth. "Hush girl, you don't want to send me off with such a teary farewell, do you?"
"I'll miss you." She whispered, burying her face even deeper.
"And I'll miss you." I replied easily.
Soon she parted from me, looking shy and awkward again. I patted her shoulder soothingly. "Tell you what, I'll bring you something special when I get back. How does that sound, eh?"
She jerked her head with rapid nods, giving me a small teary smile.
Laughing, I took her hand and left the meeting room together.
I was definitely going to miss this place.
But now was the time for my quest.
Well...not now, exactly. I did have another person to say goodbye to.
-------------------------------
I poked around the fireplace, using concealment magic to hide myself from the straggling campers as they all went to dinner.
"Hello, Mikael." The gentle voice of Hestia reached me.
"You came." I stated in surprise, an unbidden smile overtaking my face.
I dropped the concealment magic and the iron stick, before approaching her.
"Of course. Did you doubt me? I would think–Um!"
I didn't give her time to talk, kneeling down to throw my arms around her tiny body and pulling her into a tight hug as I mumbled into her ears. "I'll be gone for six months straight. A quest from father."
I felt her returning my embrace, her soft hands circling my back before gently massaging my scalp.
If there was a person I genuinely loved, except my mother and Thalia, then Hestia would be it. I considered her a part of my family, caring for her as much as my sister. Hell, probably more than Thalia, considering that i talked to her every night that I spent in camp. Coincidentally, the idea of acting like an honorary satyr to leave the camp first came from her.
"Silly child. I am always with you. You simply need to remember me and I shall be around you."
I grunted in affirmation. "But not like this. Not physically."
"Sometimes not. But sometimes, in the times of need, should you truly want me, you must only speak my name. And I will be there."
I whispered my thanks, before drawing her even tighter. "I'll still miss you."
"I know. I will miss you as well, Mikael. Just like I do every time you are not in the camp."
I just grunted, and kept my tight grip around her, getting lulled into the comfort of her warmth.
Minutes seemed to pass like water slipping through my fingers, and by the time I finally felt, the dark clouds overhead were replaced by natural darkness. 6 months might not look like much to normal people, but in the lives of a demigod, it could very well be a life and death situation. I might be stronger than any demigod, but I still wasn't a god, nor a true immortal.
After the emotional send-off though, I was more than ready for the quest.
Now was the time to meet, if I remembered correctly, the protagonist of the original fiction, Percy Jackson. Honestly, I remembered very little about the fiction, with the actual mythology that I studied recently having become more prevalent in my mind.
I hoped we got along fine though. Cause if not...
Well...there can only be one protagonist in the story. And this, was definitely my story.
--------------------------------
"We are ready, Lady Ophis." Katarea leviathan's words echoed around the darkly lit room.
The sitting members steered at her words but none dared break the silence that fell.
Ophis, the infinite dragon god, sat at the helm, carrying the position of the leader.
Of course she did. No one could dare to challenge her position. Not even gods.
The silence made some uncomfortable. The gathered members were some of the most powerful amongst their races, and yet, they could not hope to lift a finger should the calamity sitting in the front wished them dead.
The so-called calamity herself sat quietly, taking unnatural comfort in the silence. With the body of a 9 years old girl, black curvy hair, and an oval face people would call 'Cute', she looked more like a doll than the ultimate dragon.
No one commented on her childish looks of course. Not to her face atleast. Never to her face.
"And Kronos has agreed to join us?" The girl finally spoke, breaking the chilling silence.
"I...y-yes, my lady. He has agreed." Katarea stuttered out, before taking a deep breath to plunge ahead. "But I do not think he is truthful, my lady. The Titan is extrem–"
"Silence."
The word hung around the room, stark and painful. No one dared utter a word. No one dared to even gulp.
"I, shall have Kronos, one way or the other. Your job is simply to bring him back."
'Why did you ask the question in the first place then?' Some of the members would've loved to ask. But they didn't. They respected their lives enough to not throw it just for their discontent.
"I, wish to know about the boy." The order was aimed at another member.
"My lady?" Luke Castellan did his best to keep the quiver out of his voice. He liked to think he succeeded.
"The boy. The half-angel, half god. I, wish to know of his progress."
Luke took a moment to organize his thoughts, before giving a mental apology to Mikael.
"He is almost as good a swordsman as me–"
"No." The order was as emotionless as ever, but Luke still felt shivers down his spine. "I, will hear of his life."
"Oh..of-of course!.. ahh..he's going to leave for some school right now. Ah..the...The Nancy... I mean, Yancy Academy. For some mission from his father."
The silence once again dominated the room, making the members shift in their places.
"You are sure he will not join us?"
"I...don't think so, my lady. Mikael is as prideful as his father. He will never submit to anyone easily."
The Ouroboros dragon turned to the lone god sitting amongst them.
"Ares. Heracles. I, want you to test him. But do not kill him. I, shall see if he will create problems for us later."
The war god smiled, full teethes in display. "Oh, you got it. I'll try not to hurt the runt too much. If I can."
He laughed out loud as if he just made the funniest joke, but no one else joined him. Not even Heracles as he himself simply nodded. No one laughed, even for the sake of politeness.
"Why do you laugh?" Ophis asked, simple curiosity on her face.
But the people present did not take it as such.
The god stopped laughing and gaped at the girl in front of him in utter bewilderment. "My joke...did you not..?...Oh, forget it. It was nothing."
Ares sulked. The people around here didn't respect him as much as they should. Back in Olympus, everyone laughed at his jokes.
"Very well. Keep the helm and the bolt secured, and remember the plan. The rest of you, ready yourselves. You must help Kronos regain his previous might. The gods are not easy opponents, and I, do not want undying beings such as the Olympians as enemies. I, can do without such irritance. So keep your presence a secret."
"Now leave."
The order made everyone disperse. There were still subjects that many wished to discuss, but none dared bring them up after the clear dismissal.
But one thing was clear to everyone...the winds of war were spreading fast, and the future of Olympus will soon be plunged into uncertainties. And just like in all wars, the strong shall survive, and the weak?
The weak will simply be added in the long list of casualties that shall soon plague the entire continent.

AN: Boom! Ophis is here, Khaos Bridge is here, but most importantly...A new arc is here! Oh, and we're finally in canon btw.
I hope no one is annoyed by Ophis acknowledging gods power. I'm sure a couple of you might be thinking...'Wait, how are gods not easy opponents for Ophis? She should rip them apart with her pinky!' The answer to that is...Laws. Not the hardcore Styx laws or anything, just some mutual rules and agreements between Primordials that Ophis will have to adhere to.
In PJO, Primordials mostly keep to their own realms, so the world is usually held in balance. In Dxd however, these powerful beings run around amok with nothing to stop them from destroying the world should it strike their fancy. Well, that won't be the case for this story. Hope this isn't a turn off for anyone.
Also, this is my version of Ophis. So while she'll still be quite clueless socially, she won't be as unaware and childish.
That's all for today, hope you guys enjoyed the chapter. If you have any questions you can ask here, or in discord. Let me know your thoughts on what you'd like to see in this arc and I'll see you lot tomorrow with a new Poll.
