Reah

I can't believe I did that. Crying in front of a stranger. And not any stranger, the prince of my country! I thought.

"Be strong" I'd told myself countless times.

How could I have not noticed who they were before! Their names were even mentioned at some point. I guess I was completely out of it, to not even recognize Princess Yuno. I've looked up to her for years and when I finally meet her, I don't even recognize her! How sad.

Prince Adrin's back was turned, I could see his katana poking out from under his snowy white cape. It was obvious he was trying to contact Dr. Julika, so we could finish our "chat". I looked around the room, "this is way fancier than the clinic back in Shino." I thought. There were two plush chairs in the corners beside my bed. A blanket was slung over the back of one of them. Across the room where Adrin was, was a pron. A sink was mounted on the wall across from the giant windows. There were two dispensers mounted beside it. One was soap for the sink and the other was hand sanitizer. On the other side of the sink was a water fountain with a cup dispenser attached to the side.

I noticed a way to get out of the room unnoticed. There was no washroom connected to the room.

"Um… I'll be back in a few just need to go to the washroom." I said to the prince before slipping out the door into the hall.

Up ahead I saw a big wooden sign that read, Toilets. I ran past it, then walked casually past the front desk into the stairwell. I descended the stairs quickly, before anyone could stop me. The wooden stairs creaked noisily in reply.

Before long, I'd reached the ground floor. I stumbled out of the stairwell into the bustling emergency department.

"This is going to be harder than I first thought." I thought trying to go unnoticed as I made my way to the double doors.

The doors were a few meters ahead of me. I make a break for them not looking to see if anyone was watching. I push open the doors only to be swarmed by a mob of reporters, cameras in hand.

"Are you Reah Amber?" One asked "If so, what is your relationship with Prince Adrin?" another one added. "Was this a failed attempt to seduce the prince?" a woman in a brown vest and said stepping out of the mob, aiming a voice recorder directly in my face. All the reporters were silenced by the woman's bold question.

I'm frozen in place not able to move or speak. My eyes widened in shock, then horror.

"There might be more than fifty reporters. Maybe half of them have cameras and a few might even be live! That could only mean one thing – they will soon know where I am!"
