2 Lunch in the woods

One night, just after raising the moon, Lunetta was roaming the seas looking for sea creatures. Solyra loved all creatures, and loved to sketch them. Since Solyra was in a cursed deep slumber at night she was never able to see the night time creatures. Lunetta on the other hand, was able to see them, and would catch what she could, and leave them for Solyra to find when she woke. After a long night of hunting creatures, Lunetta began to head for the shore. It had been a few days since she saw Fenris, and wondered if he would still be there. Fenris was quite handsome after all, from what Lunetta could recall. The Viking had broad shoulders, medium build, brown hair pulled back with a single braid on the side. Lunetta smiled as she remembered his sea blue eyes and scruffy facial hair. "What am I thinking? He's a human! He's dangerous!" she sighs. Still, she could not help but feel her heart race a little when she thought of him chasing her to sea.

The sun was rising, meaning it was time to go ashore. Grasping her pendent she emerges from the depths in human form. Lunetta wrung the water from her hair and looked around. Everything seemed normal until she noticed a small mound of fabric sitting on a boulder. Cautiously, Lunetta approaches, inspecting the small pile. Laying there is what appears to be some form of black and white human cloth, but where did it come from? Holding it up to the sun to inspect it further, Lunetta hears the sound of crunching stones. Jerking around quickly dropping the cloth she sees Fenris coming with a satchel seeming equally surprised. "it's called clothing", he says, turning away from Lunetta. Confused, she picks them up while keeping her eyes on Fenris. "its ok if you don't trust me, I'm just trying to help" he says rubbing the back of his neck. After struggling to figure out the humans attire, Lunetta clears her throat to acknowledge she's done. Fenris turns to face her and blushes slightly. Squirming in place she says "what is it? Did I do this wrong?". Shaking his head, he replies, "no its just right" and walks past Lunetta heading to the forest's tree line. Lunetta watched as he walks studying his movements closely. Fenris turns and shouts "Are you coming?". Lunetta nods and thinks what a peculiar human this is. They walk into the forest to the same opening where they met before. Fenris walks a few feet ahead of Lunetta and sits on the ground with his satchel pulling out some bread and cooked fish. Lunetta Mimics him and sits on the ground adjusting the clothing, it was more coverage than she was used to. Fenris grabs an extra pack of food from his satchel and tosses it in front of her. "I don't know what your kind eat so I won't be offended if you don't like it" he says, while chewing on his bread. Lunetta opens the pack and sees a matching meal of bread and fish. Making a face a sniffing the loaf she asks, "what is this?" Fenris takes a moment to swallow his food and says, "its bread, it's pretty common here, give it a try". Lunetta gives it another whiff and doesn't smell anything poisonous. Taking a bite, she can feel it's still warm and a delicious warm creamy substance with a hint of something that tasted like home inside. "This tastes like the water" Lunetta says in between bites. Fenris laughs "Ah that's the salted butter, it helps the bread taste better". Fenris grabs a flask off his waist and takes a hearty swig. Wiping his mouth off on his bracer, he notices Lunettas eyes are locked on the flask. Taking a moment to enjoy her curiosity he tosses it to her. "You can try it, but I like mine a bit stronger than most lads" he chuckles. Lunetta lifts the flask to her mouth and hesitates, it has a foul odor, should she really be doing this? After contemplating the dangers, she takes a large gulp and begins to choke and spits it out dripping the flask. Fenris falls over giving a loud hardy laugh. "I don't find poisoning me humorous, human" she says as she reaches for the flask to return it. At the same time Fenris also reaches for the flask and their hands meet. Lunetta recoils out of fear clutching her hands to her chest. Fenris moves in closer staring right into her eyes and says calmly "I wouldn't dream of poisoning you". Lunettas heart skips a beat. What a strange human, she thinks. For the rest of the day, they spend their time getting to know each other. Lunetta learns a lot about the humans, and only offers so much about her people. Fenris doesn't push Lunetta to reveal anything more and walks with her back to the shore as the sun begins to lower. "Will you return?" Fenris asks, again rubbing the back his neck showing his discomfort. Lunetta finds the action so endearing and replies "we shall see ...Fenris". The Viking blushes as she says his name and looks away as she undresses. Lunetta grasps her amulet once again and starts to submerge herself into the ocean she turns back for one last look at Fenris and yells "when you see the moon think of me." Fenris watches as she dives into the waves once again revealing her tail, dark and glittering as the night sky.
