1 Aidan Lune

A key was inserted to the keyhole and the door was pushed open.

A teenager boy calmly went inside, get off his shoes as he close the door. Switching the lights on and walks inside before throwing the backpack to the side of his bed. And let his body free fall onto the bed sheet, sighs and breathes heavily for a minute to make his body relax from the stress and pressure of his current life.

'I wished I can go back to that time...' He thought, no, he really wished with his heartfelt regret that he can do that.

Pushing his regret to the side, he slowly gets up to make his dinner. It is only a piece of hot dog, a fried egg with cold rice. Then went to the bed to sit as he turns on the hunchback television to watch some news.

"-aking the people in the city of Sunaria to be terror stricken! The police is now currently and strictly guiding the citizen to flee from the area of incident as the army fighting the monsters! And now the rescuers are - Wait! We got a news that the current danger level went up to C just now! A C-Grade Beast was seen coming out of the rift! And the government requested for the Holders to assist..."

"Sunaria... Isn't that just next door?" He murmurs as he walks to the balcony to check the side where the City of Sunaria is, and saw a dark cloud looming in that horizon.

"... Far. I won't worry for the time being... That's good." He calmly went inside and do his dishes and cleans the apartment that he is renting before turning off the television and lights to sleep.

Because it's currently Thursday and he still have school tomorrow. But because it's Friday next day, his schedule in his part time job is the opening shift for the leisure cafe store. He needs to wake up before the dawn that's why he decided to sleep while it's still dusk.

Work in the morning and studies in the afternoon till dusk again.

He cannot do anything to make his life more easier since he is a reincarnated person, or he decided not to do that. Because he died in his early twenties in his past life, excitement filled his mind as he exchanged for the power system of Douluo Novel and Super Gene Novel to combine for his next life, without checking the things that needed to be exchange for that power.

As he lies on his bed and staring to the ceiling while silently listening to the sounds of the busy city as his lullaby, he breathes out heavily for the last time and slowly went to his dreamland.

Next day.

He's currently making his breakfast after taking a bath, his cellphone vibrates.

After reaching out and reads the message, he frowns and went to the balcony to put some nuts on the side before leaving the door open and went back to his meal to finish it.

Two minutes after as he do the dishes, he hears a loud 'thud' on the floor, where his balcony at and glances to it and saw a silhouette of a flying creature, eating the nuts and beside of it, is a large package.

Then he hears this weird purr from the creature, making him know that it's satisfy from his politeness, before flying away.

This creature is like a specter but with a body of western dragon, with looks that they were like came from the underworld, with greenish black scale and tattered wide wings, with only a body size of an adult cat. They are like a smurfs of the dragon themselves.

He thought that they will grow like those legends but after searching information about this world. He got to know that they are called, Petas. Creatures derived from the symbol called Petasos or Winged Helmet of God Hermes.

In this world called, Mundo. A fantasy world that based on mythologies. He didn't dare to messed with the weird creatures that can co-exists with the humans, like that Petas.

'Who knows what kind of abilities they have except from the public knowledge if they became irritated...' He thought while putting the package inside and closed the balcony door. And that's the reason why he is polite for this messengers and keeping his distance away from it, for both side's safety too.

After setting the package in the corner, he rushes his routine before going off to his work.

Thirty minutes away from his apartment to his work place. He is late for a minute.

"You're late, Aidan." The woman owner of the store named, Sarah, calmly stated after glancing at the boy jogging towards her.

"Sorry, ma'am." He said perfunctorily after slightly bowing  and pulls out his cellphone before showing the message that he got earlier to Sarah.

Sarah frowns after seeing this gesture and guesses already what's the matter. After all, Aidan, the boy that working part time in her leisure cafe store while still studying in his second year middle school, is a hardworking boy without complaining, plus he is an orphan. An orphan boy that started to look for job after graduating from his primary school with the help of the orphanage.

She got to know him after being curious with his eyes with maturity that isn't matched with his age. Aidan is working on her store for already two years and a half. And already treating him as her half-little brother.

After one year of working on her store, Aidan accepted her offer and lived with her for another one year. He is silent but not a introvert boy, polite but too aloof or distant that making her irritated. For that one year living together, he is doing all the house chores with his own accord, calls her big sister after three months of forcing him to call her that but went back from calling her 'ma'am' again after he saved enough money to rent an apartment on his own.

Reaching to read the message on Aidan's phone. Her frown becomes a worry.

Time: 5:00 AM

We are glad to inform you that you're having an identity change from (Individual Minor Citizen - Region 7, Sector 4, Class E) IMC-74E to (Individual Minor Holder - Region 7, Sector 4, Class E) IMH-74E because you were detected to have an ability to hold the power of deities from the date of November 13, 2057.

You are required to report in the registrar of Academy of Mooneria to transfer school from Mooneria Middle School. After transferring schools, you are needed to start from the first year of middle school for Holder with addition of courses for primary school of Holder.

Please inform us if you didn't receive a package two minutes after you received this message, that have things that necessary for your identity as IMH-74E.

Sarah looks up in the dawning sky, or trying to see the Supernatural Power Detector Satellites that's orbiting the world. She knows that being detected as a Holder must report to the exclusive Academy in the city and there's no exception for any identity class that can have a privilege to upgrade their Holder Identity. Every new Holder will start from Class E identity.

And those people who decided to run away from their identity as a Holder. Well, their identity will change to a criminal identity.

As the only daughter of her late Holder parents that died from her birth city, she knows too well how dangerous this identity is. And now, her half-little brother's one foot is already on his grave. She doesn't like that but she can't do anything about it, she give the phone back to him and clicked her tongue in irritation before going inside of the store.

Aidan stares calmly at the back of Sarah and knows the meaning of her clicking tongue. As a reincarnated person, of course, this news might make him happy. Like his other predecessors of reincarnated people. But as the words said 'might', it didn't even make a splash in his emotion. Maybe there is, and that's a disappointment for himself, making his regret to increase more than the past, that will haunt him for the rest of his life.

Three hours passed.

While Aidan is eating alone his break meal in the employee's room, the door was opened and just to see Sarah staring at him.

He sighs and nodded to her and finishes his meal faster before going to Sarah's room.

As he closes the door and went to take a sit just in front of her desk. He heard her saying, "You can ask if you're allowed to live outside of the dorm, if it's possible, live with me again, Aidan."

With another sigh, he replies to her, "You know that we're not blood related, even with your kindness, which I'm very thankful for that that I don't know how to repay you, but we can't." Before shaking his head.

"Why?" Sarah asks with confusion. In that one year of living together, she can feel the restrained actions and interactions of Aidan with her. Like he is making his personal space as small as possible in her house.

Aidan looks at her eyes, and sighs again, "There's nothing wrong with you... Big sis... It's just..." He shook his head again and continues while looking down on his feet, "I can't say, or else... Just please understand that there's really something wrong with me."

Sarah frowns and stares at this boy and thought of something. "Is it about your power?"

Aidan was stunned and looks up to her eyes before nodding but didn't said anything.

Sarah tilted her head and leans forwards to poke his temple, "Tell me about it."

"No." And slowly pulls his seat away from her.

"Why?" She asks as she frowns again after seeing this movement for a many times already.

He shook his head repeatedly, "I can't."

She became irritated and stands up as she asks again with irritated voice. "Why you can't?" Gonna catch this boy and wishes to grab his collar.

"You'll die..."

Only for her to froze on her step after hearing that, "W-wait, wait, wait! Why is that?" She want to say that he is kidding but stop on her thoughts, because she knows how mature this boy is. His mind that is. She didn't take another step and let him get away with a distance of six meters in between them.

Aidan leans back on his seat and closes his eyes and muttered but enough for Sarah to hear, "Remember those incidents that nearly killed you?..."

Sarah listens and stunned, making her mind to reminiscences those so called incidents, that too much... 'Calculated...' She finishes her own thought after remembering the details of each events. 'So I was right in the beginning...' And went back to reality to look at the boy in front of her.

"... Side effect of your power?" She carefully choose a word before saying it. Now, as he confirmed her idea, it only left her more worried. At first, after thinking that absurd idea, she felt cold in her heart.

But as the time goes by, those incidents only keeps happening after she went beside him for a couple of minutes with surprise. 'Now, that I think about it. So, that's the reason why he is keeping his distance from me... It's not about being aloof but being worried about me... Wait!... So the reason why he is... Nah! That can't be...' She shakes her head to get off that more absurd idea from her mind and seriously stared at Aidan.

Maybe because she is trying to figure out something from him, he felt her stare and opened his eyes. Then took a couple of seconds before saying an incriminating words for himself, "That's the reason why I'm orphan..."

He sighs heavily before he stands up then bowing slightly to her and went outside.

"So, even it's possible to live outside of the dorm, I'll live by myself just like this, no... I must, because I will put my dorm mates into danger. That's it. And I'll asks them if I can still work while studying."

Sarah heard him saying it before the door was closed.

'No wonder he keeps asking me to put him in the back, to be the kitchen staff...' She sighs, sits back to her seat and leans back. Thinking how poor and pitiful this boy is. 'Maybe, he got his maturity from that incident... With his IQ and EQ, it's enough for him not to go to his relatives and live by himself...'
