Chapter 1: The Great King of Kings

In the end, darkness, ruled over everything. The light was snuffed out of existence, people lived in fear if you'd even call that living. Hope had died a long time ago and soon even life will fall and become nothing more than embers floating along with the dust and ashes that people once called, dreams.

I bet you're wondering what happened? Or maybe how does this story end. Every story has an ending, except for mine. You see, I cannot die by any man. Be he great or be he scum, to me their blood, tastes like Fucking rum.

One day, a volcanic explosion erupted, the volcano was said to be dormant but due to the climate change, nature had begun to fight back. The volcanic cloud scattered across the sky as quickly as running water, ran from an open tap. Soon the entire earth had been engulfed in darkness. Ashes took the place of rain and fell as hard as a stormy night. Nobody could have predicted what came next. Tell me, do you believe, in monsters?...

In the darkest caves of the highest mountains, and in the deepest oceans of the lowest seas, monsters began to appear. It was something short of a fairy tale, if tales where demonic and ruthless. Humans had been enslaved and those who fought back, were used as food.

Me? I did not choose this life, it was a life that chose me. I am cursed to live for all eternity but who says I can't have a little fun along the way. By the way my names Blake and this is my story.

Back in my time I used to be a king among kings. I was human once. I lived in a palace with columns that where embroidered with gold and mable, life was peaceful at first but eventually circumstances proved it difficult to exist for every man and woman. Had wanted my throne. Filled with distrust and distraught I secluded myself and in my isolation I found a scroll pertaining to the monsters that ravaged the lands, fictional books or so it had seemed. Until one day a man came visiting my kingdom, dressed in the most peculiar of clothing but one thing stood out more than his century old clothes. An emblem of a dragon, which was embedded in an ancient armor he wore. He said his name was Hazel . "Why do you not kneel before me?" I asked looking at him and thinking that this man is either really brave or really foolish. "I kneel before no man" he said it with a slight smile across his face. "Is that so, then why have you come here if not to pledge allegiance to your king" "Do you wish for your problems to disappear, do you wish for power greater than any man" he shrugged my question away and replied with his head held high as if he had more might in his little finger than I had in my entire being. Out of curiosity I indulged in his madness. At that time I had clearly no idea about what happened to the cat when curiosity got the better of it.

He told me of a cave, high up in the mountains of Transylvanian. And that if I did visit I would never be the same again. I am King of kings, what is there that I could possibly fear, so I ventured into the cave, taking only my sword and shield on my back for there was no one I could trust more than that.

The night was silent, all you could hear where droplets of water echoing into the cave. Drip, drop, drip, drop. The sound getting louder with each step I took. I pulled out my sword and held it infront. I wasn't afraid or anything like that just, a precaution.

As I approached the caves end, I sensed a very ominous being around, It was as if I could smell death in the air. Eyes watching me, always, watching me. The cold dark cave seemed to be empty but just as I was about to leave, a voice echoed, jumping off walls and into my head. "Closer" the voice echoed again. "Come closer". Thinking that it was someone in danger, I approached the voice and to my shock an old man layered helpless in a bed of human bones. I took a look around and more bones, they where everywhere. Skulls stacked upon skulls, crushed bones made the floor, I was hesitant to go anywhere closer to the old man but as soon as I looked back at him, he had disappeared.

Night had come and the cave, was darker than ever before. I could barely see the exit hell I could barely see my sword. Wait ! My sword where did it go I had it right here in my hands. I reached over to grab my shield, not a moment to late, a beast of sorts came raging forward and scratched my shield leaving nothing but it's claw marks. "Who are you!?" I asked, furiously for no man had ever had the balls to attack me in such a manner. "Give me your name, so I may plaster it on your tombstone" I said fraught with anger. "Hahahaa" a creepy yet egotistical laugh echoed, as it bounced of off the walls It made it difficult to locate his presence. Holding my shield up high I threw it, as it banged on the floor it cancelled out the echo and in a flash, I saw it's movement towards me, it attacked, I managed to block one of it's attack but the other... pierced through my armor and into my abdominal region. It felt, it felt like a hand. I began to feel cold, the pain eventually got numb and as I was about to breathe my last breath, he got closer. "Do you, want to live?" A pale man stood in front of me. His eyes, cold as the winters on mount Alaska...(I don't think it exists so don't look it up)... his hair was white and grey, it reached his chest and as I took a closer look. I saw an emblem. An emblem of a dragon. I looked up into his eyes, blood started to leak from mine, but I never lost his gaze. "What, is your, n...ame?" I asked trying to, well, not die. He smiled at me and said "My name, is Dracula, now tell me, BOY, do you wish to live, do you want power?"... Dracula, like from the stories the vampire of vampires, I thought to myself. "N...no" I answered hesitantly, for I knew what the price was for that kind of power. "Sorry, to late" he smiled and bit me.

They say that when you're bitten by an elder Vampire you are somewhat stronger... but if a weaker vampire where to bite someone they would die. It's like the younger the generation, the weaker the vampire gene or so they say.

For 3 days and 3 nights I stayed in the cave, learning the ways of becoming a monster. But my training was not over yet, I had to still drink, blood.

I snuck away in the dawn of night, back to my kingdom, but I was weak, I could barely see what was in front of me. Eventually I reached my kingdom. I made it to bed and I was out cold. The next... next thing I remember, I woke up surrounded by blood. All of my people, my advisors, where laying dead beside me. Blood stained hands my mouth still dripping.

Over the years my kingdom fell into decay and was lost to history. I am it's only living member and I am the reason it no longer exists.
