77 CHAPTER - 27 { Mega Evolution Test Part-1}
The long awaited day finally came. Kota stood at the bus stop and looked at the road horizon to see a yellow colored bus slowly wheeling towards the bus stop.
Taking the first morning bus, he headed towards the Viridian City from where he would take a flight to Johto region.
There was almost no flight travelling directly to Sinnoh region in Kanto so he had to go to Jhoto for that.
Even more troubling was that from Jhoto, he would again need to travel to Hoenn region before finally he could get to travel to Sinnoh in plane.
"Huh…"
Sighed Kota. He was in the Kanto's plane which was flying in the sky, white clouds floated around with many Pidgeot curiously looking at the plane.

After the long 36 hours of flight from three different regions, Kota arrived at his final destination.
With so much to look and adventure, he didn't know where to even begin the journey. Unfortunately, he wasn't here to experience the pleasure of participating in the tournament or catching pokemon.
"You're Kota?"
Asked a tall man, with black suit on and sunglasses. Kota responded with a nod.
"Good. Let's go, everyone's waiting in the practical field."
The man took Kota with him to a car, then the two quickly sped up towards the W. P. R. Institution where the real experiment was going to take place.
The institution was at the outskirts of the city with a high number of hotels near it. Most of those hotels were used by the students and professors of W. P. R. Institution.
Kota didn't have to worry about his staying and meals as the institution was going to manage that for all the trainers called.
Vroom!
The man drove the car in the Institution and went further behind where the practical field was located.
Kota's eyes fell on the huge structure, similar to a stadium for pokemon battles, this was their practical field.
Getting out of the car, he looked around and saw a familiar face waiting for him at the entrance with two more individuals.
Similar to Professor Oak in age, Riccky Rocks created a strong history in pokemon experiments.
"Haha! You're here! Kota, nice to meet you!"
With smiling face, Riccky shook hands with Kota and also introduced him to to his two assistants. One male and one female.
"Come, I will show you our practical field."
Riccky led Kota inside. The open practical field inside stretched out for 250 meters long and 200 meters wide and that's only the field. There was the control room, medical rooms, resting rooms, etc.
In a round number, the entire stadium-like structure was 750 meters long and 700 meters wide. The entire structure was enclosed with lights on the tops.
Along the way, Kota saw many workers and researchers. Everyone was busy and focused on their work.
Riccky showed Kota most of the facilities then led him to the practical field where a few trainers were always present.
Five in exact, including Kota it would be six. Out of the five, he recognized two as they were pretty popular characters in the Pokemon series.
Alain, a tall, slim teenager with messy black hair, and blue eyes. The Champion from Kalos region in the future.
Cynthia, a tall and slender young lady with gray eyes and wavy knee‐length creamy‐blonde hair that covers her left eye with bangs. The future Champion of Sinnoh region.
The other three, however didn't have any strong picture in Kota's memories so he couldn't immediately recognize them. He might have truly forgotten them in any case.
"Professor Riccky."
Alain greeted. Then, his eyes shifted to Kota, the others also were expecting an introduction.
"You all the very promising trainers from different regions, but there's still some time before you all can reach the top. Meet Kota, someone just like you. If you have watched the movie 'I will rise: Pokemon Trainer', then you must have recognized him by now."
Riccky smiled and introduced Kota to them. He could see some of them have shining eyes as if they saw a shooting star.
'I wish I had become an actor…'
Riccky now could only regret but of course he loves researching about pokemon and experiencing new surprises.
"Really nice to meet you, Kota. I am a huge fan of your move!"
The first one to burst from excitement was Cynthia, she immediately shook hands with Kota and did a self introduction.
With her start, the rest also greeted Kota.
After hearing their names, he could somewhat identify Steven Stone from Hoenn and Alder from Unova.
But the last one, her name was Alice, Kota didn't remember the name or recognize her figure in his memories.
'Was she just a side character? Impossible, someone called for this Mega Evolution test couldn't be a nobody.'
Thought Kota. He had some conversation with them before heading to his temporary room for resting. For the last two days, he couldn't get a proper sleep.
His room, was at the section near the control room. Room number 6, out of 10 rooms in that section of which only five were in use for now.

The test, was going to happen at night so there were still six hours left before that.
After waking up, Kota took a bath then ate his meal before coming out of his room and returning to the practical field.
There was only Alain and his Charizard in the field. Others must have gone to rest in their rooms or were busy in their own activities.
"Kota, did you have a good sleep?"
Alain smiled towards Kota. He was currently trying to get a hang of the field filled with strong and bright lights.
"I did."
Replied Kota. Looking towards Alain's Charizard, he thought for a second before calling out his Charizard.
"Chaa!"
As soon as Charizard stepped on the field, he roared loudly and let out flames from his mouth. Alian and his Charizard watched this with a sharp look.
The two Charizards, stood against each other. Kota's Charizard was a little taller and more intimidating than Alain's Charizard.
But Alain's Charizard obviously stood straight and stared back at Kota's Charizard without any fear or hesitation. Both the Charizards thought: 'A strong competition'.
"Kota, your Charizard looks very strong."
Commented Alain as he raised his head to look at Kota's Charizard with an impressed expression on his face.
"Well, you need to be strong to come here. So, you will be using your Charizard for this test?"
"Yes, what about you? Will you also use Charizard?"
Asked Alain. Kota shook his head, he wasn't going to Mega Evolve his Charizard but a different pokemon. As for who it was, Kota didn't want to disclose it for now.
Alain nodded and didn't question further about it. Kota found a spot and sat down to watch Alain train his Charizard.
"Chaa…"
Kota's Charizard looked towards Alain's Charizard and snorted with irritation.
"You will get a chance in the future to fight him."
Said Kota in a low voice only heard by Charizard. Nodding his head in understanding, Charizard asked Kota to return him to his pokeball.
Time passed and the other trainers had returned to the practical field. Soon enough, Professional Riccky made his way together with another professor.
Professor Augustine Sycamore from Kalos.
'He was here as well?'
Kota stood up and went near the Professors like the other trainers. It seems that the time for the Mega Evolution experiment was going to happen.
"Everyone, I am Augustine Sycamore. You can simply call me Professor Sycamore."
Introduced Sycamore with a warming smile. Then he explained about Mega Evolution with more details to them.
Most of which or should Kota say 'all', was already knowledge to him. The Mega Stones which Professor Riccky collected could only be used for specific pokemon.
Only Kota was aware of it beforehand. Now Sycamore told the trainers that there was only one Mega Stone for each of them.
And, only Kota got a Mega Stone not matching with his starter pokemon, which was Charizard as it was given to Alain.
Instead, he got a different Mega Stone for a different pokemon.
Obviously Kota had that pokemon required for Mega Evolution or else he wouldn't have come here to begin with.
When the explanation was over, Professor Riccky distributed all the Mega Stones and Key Stones to the trainers.
"I already have the Key Stone, Professor."
Kota showed his bracelet, which contained the Key Stone he got in Kanto while in the Indigo League tournament.
"Oh, I see. Tell me the truth, you thought of this as a jewel right?"
Professor Riccky asked with a chicky grin. Kota couldn't reply and only showed a helpless look.
"Here, your Mega Stone. I already informed you about which pokemon it can used with. Do your best!"
Riccky patted Kota on his shoulder then headed towards the Control room which required his presence for monitoring all the energy signals.
"Finally… Let's Mega Evolve!"
