1 Chapter 1: Elliott

Hey… I'm Elliott I'm about 18-ish almost 19. I still go to school; well I don't mean uni. I decided to stay for an extra year and ... fine I'll start getting on with the story, I know your probably thinking 'what the hell, I pick up a book for some occult fantasy reading of some badass vampires and not some shitty forth wall break or weird telling of the story' right? well we will get to that soon, I love comic books, like I adore them, you see I fancy myself a dark superhero or vigilante. Every superhero has some cool origin story or something similar, like radioactive waste or a spider bite or getting augmented with magic slash cybernetics … or … or … well you get the idea. So on to my not so badass origin story. I remember it like it was yesterday … well because it was.

RING … RING … I sit up feeling awful listening to the alarm of my phone go off progressively getting louder the longer I leave it "uggh why do I have to get up at five AM, like seriously I might just kill whoever invented school … should I call in sick … hmmmmmm … no, I have done that too many times already". Luckily it is a Friday and I can just walk with no problems. I get up walk into the bathroom singing as I take a shower. Finishing getting dressed, I sit on my bed for a few hours before going at eight, looking around outside I realise its unusually dark for this time of the morning, I know its winter but still. Shrugging my shoulders I start to head out noticing its getting darker not brighter and walking about three quarters of the way, checking my phone, I see its eight thirty PM "shit did I sleep through the entire day because I didn't set my alarm properly … ouch, welp best head home. I'll talk to school on Monday." I turn sharply and start my way back home. As I walk, I see a person running past me. She must have been an athlete at the Olympic level as she was fast, not exaggerating here guys like wow anyway she was wearing a long red dress but still managing to run like an Olympic sprinter I can't stress that point enough like, damn. Looking behind me to see why she was running. pitch-black wolf around 5 times the size is should be, growling at me. my first thought was 'fuck' it smelled of wet dog and blood, I could smell it from even across the street. I was so scared. I mean Jesus Christ; now I know what you're going to say guys, but that thing was massive you would have to be an idiot to not run.

So, I ran. Ran as fast as my legs could carry me, though this proved to be very ineffective. The gigantic ass wolf was almost on top of me, it was snarling and drooling, going for a swipe at me with one of its paws to what I assume, immobilize me. Suddenly I felt a hand grab me by the arm and yank me to the side. The wolf becoming hazy and blurry as I pass out. The last thing I remember looking at was deep red eyes. I don't know why I said my address but for some reason I told whoever those eyes belonged to. It might have had something to do with how badly I just wanted to be home, but who is to say.
