1 The Moment When I Meet You

The little girl walked hand in hand with her parents when they entered a laboratory where her parents worked. A worker greets the little girl's father. "Good morning, Mr. Graff."

"Morning, Max. How was the preparation?" asked Mr. Graff.

"All goes well. Matthew's family is waiting for you in the meeting room," Max replied. A Laboratory Assistant where Mr. Graff works.

Mr. Graff nodded his head and immediately walked towards the meeting room. Meanwhile, the little girl smiled at Max. He also greeted her. Max gave her a candy that he had taken from the vending machine in the building. "Thank you, Max."

"Your welcome, Lily. You'll be amazed at what your dad is doing here," Max said to little Lily.

Lily smiled back at Max. "My father was a Superhero."

Max laughed while tapping Lily's head.

Mr. Graff stops walking and talks to Max. "Go on with your work, Max. After this, you must help me keep an eye on this little girl."

"See you later, Honeybee." Max nodded his head. He then lowered his head again and looked at Lily.

Lily smiled and showed a row of missing middle teeth. She then waved his hand at Max while she was led by his father. Max waved his hand back. After that, Max sighed and walked toward the laboratory where he worked.

Lily stood in front of a large iron tube the size of an adult's body. At the top of the box is a small glass that shows who is in the line at -196 C. Lily steps back to see who is inside the giant tube.

She tiptoed and tried to see the face of someone in the tube. She even jumped up and down curiously about who was in there.

Max, who saw Lily jumping up and down in the glass room that kept frozen bodies, laughed softly at the little girl's curiosity. He then decided to approach Lily.

"You want to know who's in there?" Max asked as he stood next to Lily.

Lily, jumping up and down, immediately stopped and turned to Max. With a slight gasp, Lily nodded her head.

"Let me help," Max said. He then crouched down next to Lily.

Without being ordered, Lily immediately climbed onto Max's shoulders. After holding Lily's leg, Max stood back up and walked closer to the giant tube that piqued Lily's curiosity. "Now you can see his face."

Lily's eyes widened when she saw the face of someone in the tube. "Is a boy?"

"Yeah, it's a boy," Max replied.

"Why is he here?"

"He almost died from a rare disease. His family decided to bring him to this facility, hoping that his illness can be cured and he can have a better life," said Max.

"Hmmm," Lily muttered as she put her hand on the glass, which showed a man's face behind the tube. "Now he's like a sleeping beauty."

Max laughed softly at Lily's words. "Yeah, something like that. Only he wasn't cursed by the evil Witch. But by a deadly disease."

"Can you cure him?" Lily asked.

"Hopefully, the progress your dad is making here will wake him up and heal him," Max replied.

Lily smiled at the answer given by Max. She then spelled the name next to the small glass window she was looking at. "Matthew."

"How long do you want to see him? My shoulders seem to be immobilized for a while," said Max.

Lily laughed. "You can put me down now."

Max immediately lowered Lily from his shoulder. He then straightened himself while massaging his neck. "What have you been eating all this time? Why are you getting heavier than the last time I remember?" He then took Lily's hand to leave the glass room. "We have to get out of here before your father finds you."

Lily walked after Max. She turned back to wave her hand at the man in the giant tube she had just seen. Smiling, Lily turned her attention to Max, that kept talking to her.

"What are you drawing, Lily?" Ask Mr. Graff. He just came out of the meeting room and went straight to Lily, sitting at his desk. The little girl was busy drawing something in her drawing book.

Little Lily smiled. As soon as she finished drawing, she immediately showed her drawing to Mr. Graff. "This is you," Lily said, pointing to a man in laboratory clothes.

Mr. Graff frowned his forehead when he saw the picture of a tube next to the picture Lily pointed to him. "Is this the cryonic tube in the storage room?"

Lily nodded immediately. She smiled and showed an incomplete row of her front teeth. "There's Matthew in it who is sleeping long. One day, you can wake him up again, right?"

Mr. Graff cleans his throat. He then smiled while he caressed Lily's head. "I'm working on it."

"I want to be with him when I grow up. So you have to wake him up," said Lily.

Mr. Graff smiled at Lily's words. "Then you have to help me so that Matthew can wake up someday."

Lily nodded excitedly. "I would do anything for Matthew. I think I've been in love with him since I saw him today."

Mr. Graff chuckled softly. He looked at Lily. "You're still too early to talk about love. You don't know what lies ahead yet."

"I know," said Lily. "I knew one day I would be with Matthew."
