CHAPTER 2 INTERVIEW

Monday morning, what to wear? Since I'm going for a job interview, I need to dress formal. Definitely wearing jeans and a tee. Bath, dress up and breakfast.

"Miss Hales,what do you think of working for the United World?"

"I feel it's a great opportunity to serve the world and save it."

"Well, Miss Hales we will get back to you soon. Though I might say, welcome to the team."

I had gotten the job? Shocker, not really. I'm awesome, very. Now I have to set up for work.

A few days later, I got the letter of acceptance and contract. I signed it and got ready to start the following week. It's now Monday and I am heading to my new office, in the IT department. Yes, out of all the papers in my hand I chose IT. It's closer to my real self and also no one would believe that a 19 year old graduate would actually have masters and phds in several faculties.

Yeah, that's the world for you. Anyway, as I headed to my cubicle, I noticed people kept on staring at me. I wonder, I'm I that scary?? I stood really close to my cubicle showing hesitation. Of course I wouldn't enter. Though I had got the floor plans for the whole building, I don't want show off my abilities so soon. As I was wondering what to do next, a little lady approached me. Little because she looked 5"4 and that's pretty short compared to my 5"10. I think I could even become a model.....

"Hello miss. Are you lost?" she asked.

Lost? Do I look lost? Honestly, I would retort right about now but, I am here to fix my social skills. "Um, yes please." "Oh, you must be the newbie." added a red head dude. Ok, uncomfortable right now. Breathe Fleur breathe. I kind of have social phobia.

"I don't understand why they have to add another person to the team. We could handle all the digging of information and what not." said another. This people make me very uncomfortable. "Alec, that's not nice. You're scaring her. Sweetie, I'm Emily,Emily Miller. Welcome to the UW headquarters. I'm the deputy head of the IT department. The head is currently not around so I'll take you through everything alright?"

She's nice and her voice is very soothing. "Alright. I'm Fleur, Fleur Hales." "Well Fleur, thank you very much forjoining us in the department. Hoping you will help us make a change as we help each other. Now let me introduce you to the main team,..." Ms Emily really made me calm down. I was about to have a breakdown. Their team consisted of seven people, the head included. I had managed to somehow enter the core team of the It department. Blondie's name is Jade Collins, Redhead Archie Harper. Alec Simmons the foul mouthed one. Brax Murphy a geeky looking guy and Fergus Carter, apparently the muscle.

So, the head is excluded I see. Anyway, Emily went on to explain to me what their department does. Honestly, it was out of the ordinary. They would help fix glitches in the company network while hacking enemy servers to rescue hostages. It was seriously cool. After all that I was led to my cubicle and given my load of work for the week.

So I guess, here we go.
