18 The Titan Sword And Dinner With The Supards

I got back to the inn and started packing my stuff that had gotten strewn all across the room. it wasn't too hard thanks to my enhanced bag. I wasn't even sure how much space it had at the moment. God had said it would grow as I leveled up, but I had yet to make full use of the space within.

Once everything was in the bag, I pulled out the gift I had gotten from Fendal and sat on the edge of the bed. I pulled at the string that was holding the cloth wrapping together, and the cloth fell to the floor. In my hand was a sword of a pure bright white. It had a hand and a half grip wrapped in leather, and a sharp edge running down both sides of the blade. The hilt had been carved to look like a skull and had rubies where the eyes were. it was a powerful looking sword to say the least. As I picked up the cloth from the floor, a note fell out and landed at my feet. I picked it up and saw familiar handwriting on it.

"Lucifer. Just so you know, this sword belonged to a bandit that we took down before you came to Desil. He wasn't very strong, but this sword is a rare item worth thousands of gold. I believe that one day you will be using it as your legendary weapon, but for now I'd advise against using it. It would make you a target, and hinder your growth.

Anyway, this sword is made from the bones of a monster called the Diamond Titan. It's an SSS rank monster, one that is rarely ever seen. They usually never appear above the surface, and when they do, it causes mayhem. Therefore it's known as the Titan Sword.

This sword will never grow dull or break. The gems in the eyes of the hilt can store MP, so if you ever have extra MP, store it in the gems. One day, it could save your life.

That's all I have to say. I pray for your safety and wish you luck on your adventures!"

I smiled as I finished reading the note. He really believed I'd make it to the top. I wouldn't let him down. After all, that was my goal now.

I rewrapped the sword and put it back in the bag. I would have to start storing MP every day I could from now on. Now that the room was free of my stuff, I needed to go say goodbye to the Supards.

Just as the sun was reaching the horizon, I knocked on the Supard's door. A moment later, a red-eyed Bella opened the door with surprise clearly written on her face. "Why did you come now? I thought we were leaving tomorrow."

"Well, I thought it would be a good idea to say goodbye to your family as well. It's not like we're strangers." I replied, pretending not to notice that she had been crying.

She laughed a little at that. "You're right. Come in, we're about to have dinner." She opened the door all the way, allowing me to enter. The entrance was a short hallway, with two doors on the right and one on the left. the left doorway led to a kitchen and eating area, while the doors on the left led to two bedrooms and the bathroom respectively.

"Lucifer, come join us. We're about to eat." Bella's mother said to me with a smile. She was a bit shorter than Bella, and had wavy brown hair. Her eyes had wrinkles around them showing that she smiled a lot.

"Thank you, Diana. I'd love to." I said as I sat beside Bella at the table. Diana, served the food and we ate in silence for a bit before Edgar started speaking.

"I heard you and Bella plan on setting out tomorrow for Feido. It's a five day journey and there is only one village in between here and there. I'd advise you to stay a few days at the village, as there are many monsters between there and Feido. Also, as long as you're on the road, you will need to take turns doing night watch. For that, I have a present for you." Edgar then left the room and a moment later returned with a large rolled up cloth. He handed it to me and said, "This is the tent I used to use when I traveled as a wandering blacksmith. It's a very durable tent as the cloth is made from orc hide. The frame was crafted by me and I guarantee it's quality. I wanted to give this to the two of you tomorrow, but since your here, that makes things easier."

I thanked Edgar profusely, as I had forgotten about a tent, and he patted me on the shoulder in return. "Just remember our promise." He whispered to me.

I nodded in return to his words. I'd always keep Bella safe. It was a promise where I staked my honor as a man. To my surprise, he suddenly embraced me and said, "I wish the two of you the best." He let me go and started tearing up.

Bella was silently crying behind me, and Diana was trying to stay strong while also comforting Bella. It was hard to just leave one's family and confront the world on your own.

Darn it. Now I'm starting to tear up. After a few minutes we all calmed down and sat to enjoy the rest of our meal. In the end, it was decided that Bella's parents would meet us at the west gate tomorrow at noon to say goodbye once more.

I thanked them for the meal and the tent, and went back to the inn. Dinner was somewhat mentally exhausting. I didn't know it could be so hard to say goodbye to someone.

Dinner made me think about my parents back on Earth. I wondered how they were doing. I even had a little brother back there. It must've been hard on them when they got the news that I was gone. I hoped they would be fine.

Now that I think about it, it hasn't been a month since I got here yet so much has happened. I became an adventurer, trained like crazy for a week, fought a goblin horde, learned magic and some awesome skills, and even got a sword worth thousands of gold. All that happened in just three weeks. I guessed life would be even more exciting now that I was finally leaving Desil to start my true journey.

Tomorrow would start the next chapter of my life here in this world called Shinora. It was hard to contain my excitement, but somehow I eventually fell asleep. The morning would bring a new day, and I'd take whatever came my way head on!
