16 Learning Another Unique Skill!
I woke up with a light headache. Last night we went to the Babbling Bard, and many hours later, we left in high spirits. The food was good, and the drinks were even better.
I had stopped before I got overly drunk, since I knew my limits. On the other hand, I found out Bella wasn't too good with alcahol. She was drunk by the fourth shot. She didn't even have the beer. In the end, I had to walk her home, since she was having trouble staying on her feet. Her dad thanked me with a smile, finding the scene somewhat funny after our conversation that afternoon.
I took my time getting ready, and by the time I went down to the entrance, my headache was gone. At the inn's counter was Marielle, and I walked over to her.
"I need to pay for another week, though it'll be the last one." I said as I put down twenty one silvers.
She took fourteen of them and said, "Nice try, but you're keeping the discount. I'll miss having you here. It's been interesting watching as you grow into being an adventurer." She put the money under the counter and I handed my key over to her for the day.
After that, I went to the adventurers guild. It was a bit after the morning rush, but there should still be a fanged rabbit quest. Not many people took F rank quests, since they weren't very profitable.
Just as I expected, there was a quest for hunting fanged rabbits on the board. The reward was three silver for twenty five rabbits, and you could also sell the pelt for an extra fifteen coppers per pelt. It wasn't amazing, especially since it took some time to kill one for most F rankers. It was no surprise though. I wanted to practice my ice magic today, and since I had an idea of what to do, I wanted to practice on the fastest enemies at my level.
I took the quest off the board and as I got to the Quest Counter, Bella entered the guild. I called her over and we registered the quest for the both of us. I was fully equipped, but Bella needed to go back home to get her staff, as she forgot it in her rush to get here, apparently.
We went back to her house and she ran in to get her staff. Once ready, we headed to the east gate where we had once gone so I could learn magic. We needed to go a bit bast the rocky area to find the fanged rabbits, so it was a bit of a walk.
Today, there were many people practicing magic in the rocky area. Probably as many as three times the amount when I came to learn about magic. I should probably come here sometime to test out some ideas I might have for magic. Though I'd only have the next week to do so.
Once we got passed all the people who were practicing, Bella said something surprising. "I would like to share my Status with you too, if you're willing to see it."
"I'd love to!" I said with with a bright smile. She seemed to relax a bit, as she had been a bit tense after asking. Taking out her card, she held it out so I could hold it too. Once we were both holding the card I spoke out loud so it wouldn't feel like I was stealing a peek at her Status. "Status open."
As usual the overlay appeared before me, but this time with Bella's Status.

I was very surprised while looking at her skills. She had some interesting skills. But what interested me most was this Suhara's Blessing. I think it was a Unique Skill. That meant I could learn it. I just needed to see it being used.
I looked at Bella and asked, "This Suhara's Blessing. Is it a Unique Skill?"
"It is. Why do you ask?"
"Can you show me how it's used? I want to show you something amazing." I said, shrouding my question in mystery.
"I guess I can." She then passed me her staff, and said, "Try hitting me with my staff. Just swing it at me."
I must've looked really worried, because she smiled and said, "If you want the skill to activate, I need to be hit with a weapon. Don't worry. I won't get hurt. I just don't like having a sword swung at me."
I had an idea of what the skill would do now, so I took the staff and swung at her, though not at full strength. I couldn't help being a bit worried even with her reassurance. Just as the staff was about to hit her, a thin deep green light shrouded her body. instead of feeling the staff connect with skin and bones, I lost my balance and spun, winding up on the ground.
I looked at where she was standing, and slowly the blue light that was shrouding her dispersed. "That's the skill. It replaces my physical body with pure wind mana momentarily, allowing me to evade all physical attacks for it's duration. I can only use it once an hour though." She explained with a smug smile, looking at my stunned expression.
I quickly collected myself and said, "Well, now it's my turn to shock you! Try hitting me with your staff." I handed her her staff and smiled at her confusion.
"Trust me, it'll be fine."
Without a second thought, she swung her staff at me. As I was hoping, I could feel it swing right through where my stomach should've been. I didn't feel any different, but I could tell that my body was momentarily made of mana. She looked at me in shock as my body returned to normal.
"That's the ability of my True Unique, Third Eye. it allows me to learn all Unique Skills I see, at the level of mastery the person who used it is capable of." Now it was my turn to smile smugly. "Want to see? it should show up on my Status now."
She simply nodded, so I took out my Status card and we both took hold and checked my Status.

Sure enough it was there. I was very satisfied with this new skill I had, and Bella was looking at me in amazement. After soaking it all in, Bella smiled for a moment before suddenly getting very serious. "You do know that this would be a big problem in other guilds if the regular receptionists see this."
I reassured her that this wasn't a problem, as the Guild Master had set up for me to talk to the Guild Masters of each guild if I ever go to them. once she was no longer worried, she relaxed her shoulders and said, "Well, if that's the case, that's fine. Now let's go hunt those fanged rabbits."
