1 God Sent Me to a New World

"Where am I?" I asked the woman standing before me.

"About that... It seems you died while I was playing with some lightning... Sorry." She apologized much to my confusion.

"So... I'm in Heaven?" I asked, confused as to how I should feel.

"Only for a moment. I'm sending you to a different world with magic and all that." She said as if it were a matter of fact.

"But I've never played a video game in my life! How will I figure everything out?" I yelled at her, now that she was dropping so many bombs left and right.

"Eh?!? Well I'm sure you can figure I out. You humans always do." She smiled at me. "Bye!"

"Wait what!?"

At that moment, a bright blue light surrounded me, causing me to close my eyes momentarily. After a few moments, the light faded.

Opening my eyes, I found myself standing in an open field. In the distance, a massive forest spread out, as far as I could see in both directions. Above me there was a sun in the blue skies, just like on Earth. I turned around to see what was behind me and felt a tug on my back. I was wearing a bag that seemed to have stuff inside, though I barely felt it. Anyway, there was a town in view, though just the tops of the wall, as there was a hill blocking most of the view.

"Well, since I'm already here, might as well see what I've got." I said out loud in a surprisingly calm voice.

I took the bag off my back and undid the leather belts holding down the flap. It also had a drawstring underneath so it was unlikely things would fall out. Anyway, I opened the bag and found a letter attached to the drawstring. I carefully took off the letter and began reading.

"Hi! It's me, God. You know, the girl who sent you here... Anyway, I need to give you some basic info about this world so you can live here. This world is called Shinora. It has a very similar feel to Earth, but is about three times larger. Magic and monsters also exist here. You have the ability to use magic, but I won't be spoiling that for you. Figure that out for yourself. Most people I've sent decide to become adventurers, so I always give an extra boost to help them on their way. If you decide to become an adventurer, your status card will have a unique skill, and when you see it you will know how to use it. That's all for those subjects. Now onto the bag. This bag is called an enhanced bag as it can hold much more than it looks. This one will expand depending on your level which you can see on any identification card in this world. In the bag right now are some poor quality potions of healing and Mana regeneration (which are used for injuries and magic casting respectively), another pair of basic clothes, twenty five silver, an ID card and a basic iron sword. That should be everything! Well, good luck and enjoy your new life!"

I reread the letter twice and when I was sure I understood everything, I closed it to put into the bag. The moment I started putting it away it suddenly turned into dust, leaving no traces that it ever existed. Well I guess that made sense. It was from God, and she probably didn't want others knowing that.

After all that, I decided to head to the town just past the hill and I'd figure out my plan for going forwards from there. But there was one thing I needed to check before that. My ID card.
