2•Modern Family

About a week has passed since Carlos, now Will , came to this new world that he liked and dislikes but mostly liked because he knew he couldn't be picky about living again.

Since he was still moving in, he didn't straight out start in school.

The one thing he hated about this was that he was expected to take over the company his dad owned. And that meant he had to have perfect grades.He hated that but that didn't mean he wasn't incompetent for that role.

In His past life Will had both of his parents but it was different as he was poor so he would always see them but this new life was different. Being rich has it prices as well.

Anyways, Will was in the back of his mom SUV driving through the neighborhood, when a basketball came in front of their view and hit the windshield. Making her break check which luckily no one was behind

"What kind of idiots throw their basketball in the street!." Lucy said catching herself from saying any bad words. Will just rolled his eyes inside of his head as she still probably thought her boy was still innocent.

"I think it came from that house" She said stopping and looking at a 2 story, green House.

"I'll give it back to them." Will said, being his usual nice self.

"What? No, it's their responsibility if they lose it or if it mysteriously disappears." Lucy turned her head and smiled while Will just took off his seatbelt.

"Mom, I think they didn't lose it on purpose beside what if the school im transferring to has a kid that goes there as well? I think it's gonna be nice knowing some one overthere" He exited out of the car he picked up the ball and headed towards the house

Lucy rolled down her window as she just nodded her head "I gotta take this call sweetie, I'm gonna park on the side waiting for you."

Will just nodded his head as he picked up the basketball from the road and started to head towards the house. He rang the doorbell one time as he heard a yell from the other side and saw a young girl.

She had brunette hair tied in a pony tail with glasses, a little bit of her cheeks were kinda puffy but in a cute way as Will just stood there with wide eyes

"Hello?"

"Wow Alex, you finally made a boy speechless in a good way" A girl older than him from what Will could tell came from upstairs as she stared at him for a bit. Alex turned around and squinted her eyes in confusion at her sister as she turned back her head with an "oh" face.

"So How may I help you?" Alex said with her hand still on the door handle and smiling a bit more, making her dimples visible.

"Uh-cut-Hi I think this belongs to you?" Will put his hands foward with the basketball as Alex looked confused. While Haley scoffed, Phil came running towards the door as he saw the ball he accidentally slapped from his son hand.

"Oh hey, thanks man you totally saved me from buying another one." He said taking the ball from Will and backed away as another women, Claire, the girls mother came with some icing on her hands.

"Oh hey, what's happening."

"This kid just saved us from buying another ball"

"Hello miss, my family and I just moved down the street."

"Down the street?"

"Yes, like way down"

"Oh! That gigantic house that they finish constructing?" Haley pointed out and kinda guessed as all of them looked at Will with him nodding.

Claire:"So how did you get our ball and know it was ours?"

Alex:"Mom"

Claire:"Alex"

Alex turned around to face her mother as Claire suspiciously asked while tilting her head a bit. She wasn't particularly judging him..yet.

Will:"Well, it bounced and hit our car wind shield to the left so I could guess more or so where it came from"

Claire gulped and shook her head up and down as she was clearly being paranoid due to Haley bringing a boy over so she thought this boy was for Alex.

"Hi I'm Will, My family just moved in and I'm transferring to Franklin middle school."

(AN: it doesn't say Alex middle school)

Will introduced himself as the girls were surprised. While Phil and Claire nodded.

Haley:"What no way! I thought you were in high school."

Alex:"Wait aren't you dating that Dylan guy?"

Haley tight lipped her mouth while glaring at her sister.

Will:"Uh 8th grade."

Will clarified his grade

"Hey, he's in the same grade as our Alex." Phil said while Claire face brighten.

"Oh well, that's nice at least when I go there I won't completely be friendless?" Will raised his eyebrow and looked at Alex as she just looked around and saw her family looking at her.

Getting the message, she turned back to Will and gave him a smile with a nod.

"Alex, Alex Dunphy."

"Welp see you Monday Alex."

And with that Will walked back to his mom car while alex shut the door. The family went towards the window and saw him get in that car through the window.

"Huh, cool car" Phil said with Alex and Haley looking weirdly at their mother

Haley:"Mom, you do know Will is a boy."

Claire:"Yeah what about it?"

Haley:"Dylan is a boy as well"

Clair rolled her eyes as the two sisters looked at eachother and then back to her mother.

Claire:"What? I just think it's nice for Alex to have a friend."

"Well he is cute but usually the cute ones are the dumb ones" Alex said going back to her book with Haley heading upstairs

"You did that because Alex needed a friend right? Not because he's loaded." Phil gave her wife a look with Claire obviously nodding at the first part

"Good…I was thinking about the same thing."

Claire just scoffed at him as she went back to the kitchen. Phil headed outside to see Luke playing with the BB gun again.

"Oh not again…"

———Commentary———

Claire- "I know it's unfair to Haley but come on, Alex is still 13 with that boy obviously her age and while they're still young I think it's best Alex has a friend."

She then looks behind her and calls for Alex while getting no response she faces the camera

"Between you and me, I hear from Haley she's basically alone. While she is smart for her age I just wish her to have a couple of friends. Besides what's the worse that could happen?"

Will headed back for his car as he got in and put his seatbelt back on while staying oddly quiet. His mom just looked at him with an raised eyebrow

"So? Was it true?"

"Uh huh, yep, Alex. She's in my grade so I guess I'm going to see her."

"Ooo a girl" Lucy teases her son as Will just waved his hand at her.

'What the fuck!, Alex! As in Alex dunphy! Holy shit, this is the modern family universe.' Will thought to himself as he clearly remembers this comedy, slice of life, sit com show. It was his favorite due to the funny and relatable things happening the show as well as the actress playing Alex.

She liked how she…developed through out the show because the similar situation he was in back in his old life. He wasn't smart but he was alone with no friends and an annoying older brother.

But seeing her in actual person, Will couldn't help but feel like she was more beautiful in person, while these feelings were toward Alex not the actress playing her but the actual Alex. Confusing yet not at the same time.

They soon arrived at their house, he got out of of the car, entered his house and came to the sight of his dad standing there with his arms open.

"Hey dad." Will said indifferently as he passed by him. Lucy went up to Dylan and gave him a kiss.

"He's still mad?"

"Yes dear, you blew him off for those so called meetings."

Dylan huffed out "Honey you know it's important-"

"Our child is also important as well. You need to spend time with him"

"But I do-"

Lucy cut off him again "Not in an office, or a lab or in a workshop but away from work. Listen dear, he may be smart for his age but his still a kid."

Dylan nodded slowly as he went up the flight of stairs and walked down a hallway then finally arriving at a black door.

He knocked a couple of times as Will voice sounded from the other side telling them to come in. Coming into the huge room that had its own private bathroom, closet and balcony , Will saw his dad coming in as he set down some papers on his table.

"I finished those papers you gave me for running the company later in the future" Will said going back to play his video game on a large flat screen TV.

"Will…" Dylan picked up the papers as he inspected them and smiled. He tossed them back on a counter and sat on the edge of the bed grabbing a controller.

"What's happening?"

"Your old man is about to show you up" Dylan said while smiling. And that's how they spent the evening. Will bonding more with his new dad while thinking about his new situation. He was in the modern family universe

How crazy was that right?

It was a Sunday morning meaning the shops were full of people as tommorrow was the first day of school for Will. But today, heading out with his family he went towards the mall getting new clothes.

At first his parents were confused on why they need to go. Couldn't they get it delivered or one of their butlers getting it? Well Will said it was a way for them be together a little more as his mom had to an appointment tomorrow while his dad had more meetings.

They thought about it and he was right. So deciding to head in to the mall they arrived with some glancing at their directions and then moving onward.

This was also another reason shopping in person. Showing off your genetics.

Shopping for new clothes while also looking around they were about to head in when Will saw manny alone sitting on a bench near a clothing store.

He saw some people glancing at them and going their way as he wasn't bothered. I mean his family genetics were not something to laugh at as Vogue Magazine declared his dad the 5th hottest man in the world.

"Dad I saw the gaming store can I?"

"Sure but make sure to come back right away. We'll be right in here" Dylan pointed to a store that displayed fancy suits as well as dresses.

He took the black card his dad was holding out as he thanked him and was about to go when his mom stopped him.

"Forgetting something?"

"No" Will joked as he smiled while going foward once he saw his mom eyebrows coming down from her sun glasses.

She kissed his cheek while ruffling his hair. 'Getting a kiss from black widow, now my mom, is not exactly what I imagined it to be but oh well ' he thought as Will walked and went down the escalator.

Reaching the bottom he saw manny looking down as he sat next to him. Manny just took a quick glance and went back to looking at the ground.

"Lost kid?"

"Huh? Oh no, just…wondering if age really does matter. By the way, aren't you a kid?"

"Yeahhh, but that doesn't matter right now."

Manny just nodded as he went back to looking down the ground.

"Everything okay?"

"No…if you loved a women who was 2 times your age would you confess?" He suddenly said turning his head toward Will .

"Well yeah."

"See I knew it. My mother fiancé thinks I'm crazy"

"Oh you are, but who isn't?"

"You got that right" manny said thinking about how his mother married an old guy. Silence once again took place.

"Do you like someone older than you?" Will said trying to make small talk with this, not exactly, stranger.

"Yeah… she's amazing. She works here, I think she's 16. Blonde hair, beautiful smile…has a boyfriend."

He sighed out as Will just hummed. "So you asked her out?"

"Twice. Tried again thinking she will take me instead of him and getting help from my step dad but what I took was almost a fist to my face."

Will chuckled a bit with manny looking at him "It's not funny. Besides who are you?"

"Oh I'm Will, Will Zoloman."

"Cool last name."

"Thanks. What's your name?"

"Manny, I still think I could've gotten a better one"

"I think it's a good name"

"Really?"

"Of course, manny sounds like a cute little puppy so I bet once you get older, your getting all the ladies"

This made manny chuckled a bit as he smiled. "Yeah your right" Will and manny continued to talk about his love life and this continued on for at least 10 minutes when manny parents arrived with worried faces.

Gloria-"Manny, baby, why'd you take off?"

Jay-"Hey wasn't I right?"

"Yeah…"

The women just glared at the old guy as they saw another boy who looked slightly older, Max, by their son.

"Who's This?"

"This is Will Zoloman.we've been chatting so I say he's my friend."

The couple looked at Will with 'ohh' faces while smiling at him. "Thank you for being friends with him, he doesn't have a lot."

Jay-"Woah woah, you just met him. And you're already friends with him?"

"Yeah, we've bounded" Manny said while smiling. Will smiled as well while shaking their hands

"Will Zoloman."

"I heard. Lovely family you have, especially your dad…" Gloria said, whispering that last part In his ear in which Max chuckled nervously.

He finished shaking Jay hands and looked at them both. "Couple right?"

"Thank you! At least someone doesn't judge just on appearances" Jay said while smiling at Will

Gloria-"See honey, not everyone is like that guy from soccer.

Jay-"Yeah Yeah, Thanks looking out for manny when we weren't here kid."

"No problem, just saw him here alone sulking so why not try to cheer him up right?"

Gloria-"Thanks Will, at least one of us is nice enough to make sure he was okay"

Looking at jay, he just shrugged

"What? I did say we could try again and have the same results."

Gloria-"Yes I know but couldn't you try to help him more."

Jay-"Oh please I helped him out. She would've cheated on him anyways."

Gloria put her hands over manny ears as she scoffed "Come on papi, we're going back home and finishing that ice cream bucket."

Jay just waved his hand at them as he turned around and saw Will, an awkward silence took over as Will spoke first

"Well I'm going now, about to get a plane."

"Plane?"

"Yeah, a model of a plane since I was always fascinated by them" Will lied through his teeth pretty well as Jay perked up

"Oh really, well not to brag but I have a plane collection."

"That's cool, how many?"

"A full shelf of them."

"Any chance they fly for real?"

"Oh you bet. Hey kid, what don't you introduce me to your parents. Me and my wife could become friends with them and once we get their permission why don't we take them out for a spin"

"Sounds okay to me."

And with that Jay followed Will toward his parents. Jay was shocked by their looks as he looked back at Will and must've guessed it was genetics on how they looked that good.

Hitting it off, they actually had nice chats here and there while Dylan and Jay bonded over football, cars and planes. Lucy was also excited to meet his wife by the way he described her as he just got a crazy idea.

"Hey, why don't you guys stop over by our family reunion?"

"Oh how could we? I don't think-"

"Ah, Ah, I insist, plus the more the merrier."

"Are you sure? The others in your family wont get mad?"

"I guarantee, might as well tell them now. Anyways I'll text you their address and the time so I expect you guys to see them. I think it's kinda cool how we bonded this fast."

Jay sat on a couch as he just shrugged

"I don't think we're moving to fast in fact I think we're flying in the same altitude"

Jay chuckled as he made a airplane pun

"But I gotta admit, Those genetics are insane!"

"I am also Surprised" Lucy said as he shook his hand.

"See you later Mr.Pritchett"

"You as well Mr.Zoloman" They shook hands one more final time as Jay headed out of the store with the trio letting out a breath

"Who knew a trip to the mall would get us another friend." Dylan said with Lucy smiling

"I just hope his other family members won't be to mad at us for crashing in."

"Oh I'm sure they wont mind plus if they are we could always excuse ourself right Will?"

"Yeah dad." Will responded back to his father statement as he clearly didn't expect this

It was night time when Jay and his family found out about their newest member to their family.

Jay: "Are you kidding? She's one of us now. Let me see your little podsticker. Hey! You're a cutie, aren't you? Ah."

Jay stood in front of the baby as he looked at her and found her cute. He then coughed as he got the family attention

Jay: "So you guys know about another family coming."

Alex:"We have another family?"

Claire:"No sweetie, I think it'a dad new friends."

Jay:"Well their not family yet but their new friends"

Jay nodded as he heard the doorbell ring. He quickly opened up the door with 3 people coming in with holy genetics.

Cam: "Jesus Genetics…."

Dylan: "Hope we're not crashing the party"

Will's dad said entering into the house with wine while his mom was holding a long tin foil tray.

Jay: "No no, come on in. We were about just to get started."

Claire: "Stop staring it's rude"

Claire pinched both her husband and son. Phil looked at her and pointed to his mouth

Phil:"Are you drooling?"

Claire: "What? No"

She wipes her mouth and finds a little bit of a wet spot on her sleeve as she just smiled.

Alex: "Will?"

Claire"Will?"

Will: "Oh hey Alex and Mrs.Dunphy"

Claire:"Flattered you remembered our last name but is-is this your parents?"

Will:"Oh yes, My dad Dylan, and my mom Lucy"

The family greeted each other to the Zolomans as they talked and bonded for a while they surprised Jay, and the Dunphy family as they learned their new friends were Billionaires as well the Owner of Althing. A company that was well known.

Will also introduced himself as they greeted him as well with the Cam and Mitchell complimenting him to as how many girls he wil get.

They talked each other for some more in the dinner table as they were starting to get comfortable around each other.

Once they finished the adults were left at the table while the kids with Haley sat in the living room with the TV on

Haley was texting while Luke was sitting on the floor watching TV while Alex and Will were reading books.

Alex was reading a modern book while Will was reading a book as well but that quickly became to easy as he brought out a Robot toy that he built himself.

Brains was a weapon after all. Alex seeing this was intrigued

Alex: "You like robots?"

Will:"Yeah. Im totally into robotics like how cool is it that that one day small little robots might do complex surgery humans can't do!"

Alex:"That sounds Awesome but I reckon that won't be introduced until decades"

Will:"Why so?"

Alex:"There's a reason it hasn't been developed yet"

Will: "Well your looking at the person who's gonna developed it"

Will said as he thought 'With my god gifted smarts I'm pretty sure it's gonna hard but not impossible'

(AN: Remember guys he's smart but he isn't bright)

Alex:"We'll see."

Alex sarcastically said while rolling her eyes

Will: "I guess we shall"

They smiled at each other as Alex went back to reading her book but was keeping half of it covering her face, side eyeing Will.

She had to admit he was cute or handsome? She didn't know what to call it but he was good looking and not to mention how his sea green eyes were insanely pleasant to see.

But at the same time she wanted to deny those titles because she likes boys but can be pretty awkward around them. Part of this awkwardness comes from being torn between attraction and repulsion. Alex generally sees popularity, dating, and romance as frivolous and non-intellectual pursuits. Yet a cute boy is still a cute boy.

But at the same time, it wouldn't hurt trying right? Chemistry, I mean there are some circumstances where you can get it right the first time. Where your instincts or your gut just tells you that he's the one.

He was also tall, but not to much making him seem like he was already in high school. If she had to guess probably 5'7 and that was tall in middle school especially for her consider she was 5'1

She saw the robot doing push-ups as well as doing a small little dance while transforming into a car.

Amazed by that show as she didn't know there were robots out like this, but she was out of her daze when she heard her sister voice beside her ear, not noticing how she got close to her

Haley:"Stop staring creep"

Alex:"What?"

Quickly turning around

Haley:"It's kinda sad how you can't just walk up to him and talk"

Alex:"Shhh! Shhh! Shhh! Your talking is loud"

Haley:"Your shushing is louder than my talking!"

The Dunphy sisters whispered yelled as Will and Luke towards them with a confusing look. They smiled awkwardly with Haley going back to texting and Alex back to reading.

Will:"Hey Alex wanna give it a try? I couldn't help but notice you staring at it"

Will decide to act oblivious as Alex peeked over from her book and nodded her head as she got off from the couch and sat on the ground taking the control from Will hand.
