Alone

He took a moment to calm down before starting the recording. The cabin was dark and he had to cover the camera lens due to its excellent performance in low light.

"Sigh, I feel so cringe.. But I am really losing myself.."

He then hit the record button and started speaking about his feelings lately, being isolated without human interaction. He thought the sounds of waves crashing, birds singing, or rain falling would be enough to maintain his mental health, but it hasn't gotten any better. He just wanted to let go of the stress and tension he had been feeling since he was stranded on this island. He stopped talking once the timer hit 5 minutes.

"Longest 5 minutes of my life.."

He uploaded everything then sleep, he was just mentally exhausted.

"Kecaaaaaaaak!"

Nakami was alerted by the snapping sound of his trap, indicating that something had triggered it. He grabbed his steel axe and went outside to investigate.

He searched his base to see if anything was there, but nothing had come in. He cautiously went outside and walked slowly to find the trap that had gone off.

Nakami was relieved when he discovered the trigger had gone off because the rope holding it snapped on its own. It was just a false alarm.

"Sigh, at least I know I'll be awake right away if I ever hear the trap noise again."

He returned to his cabin to check his phone and was surprised to see it was only 4:30 AM. But his enhanced vision allowed him to move around easily. There was only one notification, which he guessed was about the latest report of the 'E' he had gained.

He was shocked by the number of 'E' he had gained because his first post only earned him 2E. But now, on his second day, he got 24E, which was a dozen times more than the previous day. He realized he could now check how many 'E' he earned from each post.

He checked all his posts and realized that each video or story made him 1E. The exception was the last video he made before he went to bed last night. That video made him 20E by itself.

He would still make 26E even if he didn't post anything today. He's not going to be lazy when he can just create more content for the sweet 'E'. He used to think the transmutation skill was weak and too expensive, but now he wants to modernize his log cabin and other buildings.

"Yo, maybe it would be cool to have a lightsaber or laser gun? Hehe"

The sun was rising slowly, so Nakami started carving wood to make it into a 70 cm sword-shaped object. He wanted to turn it into a lightsaber if he could afford it.

He paused and considered holding off on the high-tech gear to save 'E' for emergencies. Although he had healing abilities, he still wanted sets of universal medicine on hand in case of injuries that took longer to heal, like broken bones or excessive bleeding.

Today, he chopped down 30 big trees and 20 medium-sized trees in an hour to improve his base's defense by adding more height to the wooden fences. He used some of the leftover wood to make charcoal and built another room for his cabin. This room will have windows and doors and will likely be used as a sitting room.

Nakami realized it was 2 PM when he finished his work. He felt he wasn't working quickly enough, so he ate the last piece of dried meat and headed to the clay mine. He used the clay he got and now he wanted to get as much as he could carry with his upgraded log cart.

Nakami wanted to build a stronger house because he felt it would make him feel safer at night and during heavy rain. With the recently-made charcoal, he decided to use it all as fuel to make clay bricks and roof tiles.

Nakami made two new steel tools, a shovel and a pickaxe, which cost 2E each. Now he has 44E left. He wasn't regretful because he believed that using better tools would help him earn more 'E' in the future as long as he lived well and continued to create new content.

"I might not have time to post many videos or stories today. I'll take it slow and maybe focus on making high-quality content."

Nakami spent 2 hours at the clay mine filling his log cart. Although he wasn't exhausted from mining, the log cart was heavy to move when he took it out of the mine. He knew he could manage it by pulling it slowly and steadily, since the log cart didn't have any brakes to stop it from rolling.

As the sun was setting, Nakami could be seen digging a hole outside his base to unload the clay from his log cart. He finished everything just before 9 PM, with the help of his [Night Owl] ability, which made him move faster, sharper, and smoother as he swung his shovel to unload the clay.

Along with the clay, Nakami also brought back some fish from the shore. He dried some and made soup out of others for dinner. Since there was no fiber for rope today, he spent his time doing martial arts training and learning about science and technology.

He was a good student in school, especially in science subjects, but he didn't see any potential for making money if he pursued a degree in the related field.

After practicing martial arts, Nakami sat down at the table to edit the video of him making the wooden sword. It only took him half an hour to finish the video.

However, Nakami decided to record under the dark early today because he wanted to get some sleep early. In this 5-minute recording, he talked about how regretful he was for wasting years of his life working non-stop without having any fun or even taking time for himself.

He hit the 'Upload' button for the content he made today, then left his cabin holding a cup of warm water he had boiled. He wanted to take a break and breathe in some fresh air, reflecting on all he had accomplished.

He went back inside after 10 minutes of doing nothing outside to sleep.

"Sigh, I wish I had a better bed, but the room is too small for even a queen-sized bed.."

A mysterious pillar of light shone brightly in the heart of the forest, connecting the sky to the ground in a stunning display. The brightness was intense and illuminated the surrounding area for what felt like an eternity. But, as suddenly as it appeared, the light disappeared, leaving behind nothing. Is it really nothing?
