I Don't Even Know Your Damn Name!

Wang Lei laughed slightly. This little mouse was quite an icy little beast herself! perhaps not a beast, but more of a kitten? He couldn't wait for the day she would wrap herself around his finger and become a better source of entertainment for him, but maybe it's better like this. He set aside his thoughts and followed along behind her.

Yang Xia decided that whatever happened a moment ago, didn't happen at all. Little Feng had cried twice already during their ordeal.

The rest of the journey was ended quietly, with Wang Lei finally deciding to shut up long ago. It seemed like the spirit beasts hadn't fully moved around yet, that or they felt intimidated by the tall male's aura, and so the weird ugly bear was the last they encountered. When the duo began to reach the end of the forest, a path began to form in the distance. It was one of the forest's exits!

They traversed through that pathway, their surroundings becoming less hazy and soon became one full of harmless insects and natural fauna. Looking back, Yang Xia discovered that the entrance to that horrible forest had vanished, and all that was there now was an ordinary forest. Soon enough the path split with one leading towards a large kingdom up ahead that seemed to be bustling with life. Yang Xia put her hood up, deciding to cover her face before heading towards the grand city.

Yang Xia stopped a nearby merchant that was going down the same path, hoping to get some more information. She was NOT going to ask Wang Lei for anything after their little incident earlier.

"Excuse me sir, can you tell me where we are right now? I'm a little lost you see..."

The old merchant man looked up at her confused and surprised, while scratching his head.

"Huh? You don't know where you are? Are you some kinda country bumpkin?"

He insulted, Yang Xia blankly stared at him. The old man decided to explain to her anyway, seeing her clueless expression.

"That there is the entrence to the Qin kingdom here in the Fire continent. Lots of young cultivators and rich brats are coming here to pass the acceptance test for Ziyou Academy!" he pointed towards the large gate up ahead and then to a grand building that seemed to be elevated in the air in the far back.

Yang Xia tilted her head, not understanding the last part.

'Ziyou Academy? why the hell is there such a big *ss building for some academy. Wow rich people these days...' she thought.

"What is..Ziyou Academy?"

She questioned. The merchant gave her a look of disapproval.

"You truly are a country bumpkin...Everyone knows of the prestigious Ziyou Academy! They rank first out of all the academies in all three continents!"

'Or just rich bastards' she deadpanned.

"They produce all the top performing cultivators! With such wide variety of facilities! The Elders there are no joke as well. Each fraction's elders are known for their specialty in their respective fields and they're all high ranking masters."

The merchant began to blabber on and on and began to go off topic, something about his grandson not liking bitter medicine or whatever. Yang Xia was starting to wonder if Little Feng had any descendants...

Not wanting to hear anymore, she sped past the man and towards the Qin kingdom's gates.

"Oi!"

The merchant called out to her, making her look back at him once more, she prayed it wasn't about his grandson again.

"If you're thinking about joining the academy then quit now!"

"Why is that?" 'why the hell should I listen to you'

"Not just anybody can stroll in through to the academy! They only accept the most talented and the best! If you can't provide that, then there's no point in entering. Of course, what would a country bumpkin like yourself know of talent."

Yang Xia pondered her decisions before ignoring the man and continuing with her walk. 'Old man, I'll let you go since you don't have much time anyways. I pray you are a rock in your next life so I can kick you.'

Wang Lei looked at her, smiling, finally breaking his silence.

"Are you going to join?"

His smooth voice asked. She didn't look at him, only focusing on the path ahead of her. That old man should learn a thing or two from Wang Lei about shutting up.

"we'll see."

The inside of the Qin Kingdom was indeed lively and bustling with business and people. That old merchant bastard was also right, there were alot of young cultivators here, some were already bragging even though they had yet to take the test.

The worst part about it though was all the attention. On them. More specifically the male next to her. Wang Lei's stupidly attractive face had caught the eyes of many, and people began to whisper.

"Is he a Prince? He probably came here to take the acceptance test for Ziyou Academy!"

"He's so handsome! I wonder which family he comes from.."

"I wonder if my husband will get mad if I brought him home..."

Yang Xia decided to walk slightly faster to avoid Wang Lei and his crowd, while pulling her hood closer down. Spotting a nearby shop, she quickly sold the spirit beast parts and gained a fair amount of gold while also getting directions to an Inn, to which she made that her next destination.

Yang Xia booked a room for herself for only a few days, deciding that she wouldn't be staying here for long anyways and while she was making her way into her room, Wang Lei unfortunately managed to catch up with her. His golden eyes met with her icy ones, and a smile played on his lips.

"Little mouse, it was fun staying with you but I have to leave now."

She looked at him blankly, not knowing what to say to that. She wasn't going to beg him to stay, that's for sure.

"You say that as if I care, go away." she huffed in annoyance.

Wang Lei smiled and took his chance. He wrapped his arms around Yang Xia's waist the moment she turned away, pulling her body closer to his much bigger one. Yang Xia became flustered as she tried to free herself from his grasp. What was this idiot doing?! She turned to face him, in preparation to smack his head.

Leaning down, Wang Lei's lips pressed onto her forehead and before she could react, Wang Lei let go of her.

Did this idiot just kiss her?? She never felt so irritated in her life! But for some reason, she didn't completely despise the intimacy.

'What am I even saying??!! it's because I'm too touch straved, ugh!!' she blushed profusely, to the point where not even her resting b*tch face could save her! Wang Lei was taken back by the drastic fall of her emotionless facade but immediately recovered with a mischievous grin.

"Oh! I never knew you could be so bold to initiate a kiss!"

Huh?! It was obviously you who kissed me bastard!

"You should take responsibility of me, okay?"

What do you mean okay!?! Shouldn't you be the one taking responsibility? When did the tables turn onto me? responsibility your father!

Yang Xia was agitated by this vile man once again, she felt like spitting blood at his words. She pitied the poor unfortunate soul who would be his partner in the future!

"Take care of yourself, Little mouse! Grow up to be strong and healthy for your husband! Don't go flirting with other men, or your husband will have to punish you!"

He looked at her annoyed face, thinking it was cute, a cheeky grin appearing before his body disappeared into a puff of smoke. Yang Xia couldn't believe her ears! This man! Husband my a**! I don't even know your damn name! you win the award for number one shameless bastard!

No longer feeling his presence, she suddenly felt a bit lonely but she'd never admit that of course. Wang Lei talking his *ss off some how made her feel comfortable. In a weird novel ML fated with the FL way.

She closed the door behind her and decided she deserved a vacation after this. A very, very, long vacation...
