Julia Mason

Julia Mason was having a pretty shitty day, but then again, after careful consideration, it could've been a whole lot worse. For the life of a slave, things could always get worse even when you think its as bad as it can get and for someone who had been raised as a slave since birth, Julia had experienced the definition of the word worse. The only solace she really had was that her owners, the Golden Lion knights, couldn't defile her due to her healing magic.

The day had started off just like any other, which is to say that she was woken up by food being unceremoniously tossed into her rather small cell. She eaten her breakfast, endured a vicious beating from two drunk knights, and then was beaten again when she refused to eat her next meal. Of course compared to other days, the day started off pretty light, at least until she was yanked out of her cell to go on a slave hunt.

This thing that she had personally called a Slave Hunt was exactly what it sounded like except that the knights used the queen as an excuse to persecute entire villages of demihumans and turn them into slaves. Those that resisted were killed and most mature women were brutally raped, a sight that wasn't pleasant to watch nor listen to as the screams would ring out. The only time the screams would stop was if the knight killed her after he finished or if the womans mind broke from the shock and horror of what had happened to her.

If Julia had a choice, she never would have chosen to leave the carriage that they arrived in as she couldn't stand the screams of pain and agony. Thankfully, it seemed that this time they had chosen to leave her in the carriage which actually helped her mood improve ever so slightly at least until she figured out why they had left her.

The smell of smoke and the roar of a fire consuming everything in its wake answered the question of why they left her behind. Julia found it rather strange as the knights rarely used fire and when they did, they usually kept it contained so it only affected one area. However, for some reason they had deemed this village worthy of being burned down completely and this both saddened and confused Julia.

Before she could close her eyes and pray for all the poor people currently getting burned alive, she heard a snap followed by hands that began to yank her out of the carriage. Taking the hint, she allowed herself to be pulled out and lowered to the floor. The outside was kinda breezy as besides a burlap sack, she didn't have anything else on and getting chills was pretty easy for her. She could already feel the goosebumps creeping up on her as she began to walk forward.

Edging her way slowly around the group of knights, Julia walked to the front to see something that made her sick to her stomach though she kept a straight face.

Directly in front of her was a male covered in severe burns, and in some spots his skin had burned off completely. Just the sight of the blood oozing from some of the burns was enough to make her wanna hurl. However, she knew that if she didn't keep her cool then she would no doubt be beaten later so she held it in and knelt down next to the human.

Even by elf standards, Julia possessed extraordinary magic, the ability to restore the body and eliminate all abnormalities that had accumulated. It was a rare type of magic that was only strengthened as long as she was a virgin.....at least thats what.the knights themselves thought.

Placing her hand on the young mans forehead, she closed her eyes and concentrated on the healing spell. To pull it off, she had to channel her own mana into him and then circulate it right back into her own body. In other words, the spell could only be used if she had complete concentration and total control over her own mana. The process took only a minute but for some reason, healing this person took almost a full 2 minutes which actually made her quite curious.

Opening her eyes, Julia stood up and took a step back her eyes never leaving the strange male in front of her. Now that she looked at him, he was rather cute with jet black hair and neon blue eyes and a rather handsome face. She kept her facial expressions to a minimum but she still had a strong desire to start a conversation with the stranger. "I healed all abnormal conditions to the human body. Your as good as new."

The young man stood up and began looking over himself, clealry amazed that all his wounds were gone. Julia wondered if he had ever seen healing magic before as he was acting quite surprised by it all. The strange young man even began to stretch himself, testing out his body to see if there was any remaining pain.

Julia once again felt the urge to start a conversation with him again but just as she was about to, the male started talking first. "Hey, mind coming with me for a second? Theres people I need you to heal."

The feeling of his hand over her own and his eyes looking into hers along with a smile that exided nothing but kindness, something she hadn't seen in a very long time. She was unsure of how to act and unsure of her own feelings but she did know one thing. If she hadn't been pulled away at that exact moment, she would have most definitely followed after him without hesitation.

Before she could answer or even give him so much as a nod, she was yanked back by her collar and pulled into the arms of the lead knight, Sir Dracon. It was clear that they didn't like what this young man had did which was why he was now being held at spear-point and threatened to leave.

Julia wanted to protest and tell them to let the male leave, but the grip on her collar and the clinking of her chains reminded her of what would happen if she spoke out. Her momentary weakness faded quickly as she realized her place and her expression changed into one of uninterest.

She was nothing more than a lowly slave, someone who wasn't worthy of things such as love or companionship. The only she would ever be good for was healing and getting beaten and stepped on. This young man would treat her no different and her momentary lapse in judgement was due to her deep hidden desire to be rescued. However, she was certain that that day would never come.

Julia watched as the young man and Sir Dracon exchanged some words in which Dracon fed the male the same lie he used all the time, that his majesty was the one who gave him the order to do so. When he told people this, the other person usually stood down and walked away, but this time was completely different.

Julia couldn't follow what happened next as the knights were blocking her line of sight, but that didn't stop her from seeing two of those same knights go flying backwards. She then watched as the young male twirled around and knock the other one unconscious.

When the other knights began chasing him away, Julia's deeply hidden hopes for rescue were dashed as Dracon, her official master, tightened his grip on her collar. It was clear that he wasn't going to let her go just yet.

"Hey, after this, I've made a decision," Dracon said, his voice lowering. "I've decided that I don't care what the queen says. Tonight its going to be and you getting freaky all night long. I can't wait!!! I'm getting hard just thinking about it."

Julia didn't say anything, she just kept up her uninterested expression even though on the inside she was suffering mental damage. She could already imagine the pain and agony she would be experiencing and began plotting ways to end her own life. Her own solace was going to be taken away from her that very night and she decided if that was the case then living wasn't worth it.

Right as she accepted her fate, a person ran into view. A young male with hairer blacker then midnight and neon blue eyes. He was at least 5'8 with a white sleeveless shirt and burned up black shorts. It was the young man from earlier and he had returned with spear in hand, a look of confidence on his face.

The two began to exchange words and after hearing that the young man wanted to take her with him, she felt a sense of joy rising u up within her that she thought had long since died. She tuned the rest of the conversation out and even stopped watching the two, beginning to fantasize about finally being free of this nightmare she had called her life.

She didn't really daydream all that long however as she was snapped back to reality when someone suddenly asked her a question. She still had her uninterested expression on her face but it quickly changed into one of confusion as she looked at the young man standing in front of her.

The male was holding out his hand with a smile that contained warmth and kindness and over to the left of her vision, she cluld see the collapsed form of Dracon. She didn't need to see to know what happened and could already guess that her owner got his ass kicked. What she didn't know was what the guy in front of her had asked.

However, even though she didn't know what he had asked, she did what she had the urge to do. She reached up and placed her own hand in his, responding to the enthusiasm of this young man. She could feel her heart racing as she looked into the bright blue eyes.

"Okay, then I need you to follow me," the boy explained as he wrapped his fingers around her hand causing her heart to skip a beat. "There are people I need you to save. I'm gonna assume that you can heal anyone back to normal as long as their not dead?"

Julia nodded, her eyes trained on her hand which was being held. "As long as the persons life hasn't been extinguished, I can restore the body and eliminate all abnormalities in the body. You can say that, in a way, I'm reversing time."

The boy nodded. "That's perfect, do you think you can run?"

Julia nodded and followed after him as he broke into a jog. She wasn't particularly used to running as she was usually cooped up in a cell but the young male seemed to be going at a slow pace after realizing this. Julia wondered who this guy was and why he was so kind to someone he barely knew. She even almost hugged him when he asked if she wanted the chains she had on removed, but she restrained herself and declined his offer.

She wasn't quite ready to fully part ways with the chains as of yet as they were the only things keeling her sane. It was strange that the things she hated the most were the things keeping her the most sane but thats how it was.

The two of them ran along looking for people to heal while occasionally hiding from the knights whenever one passed by. It was slow going at first as they hadn't run into many people and the patrols of the knights seemed to be never ending...at least until they reached the center of town where dozens of demihumans were being pinned down by three knights.

The two of them hid behind a nearby building where Julia began to weigh her options. She wanted to stay with this mysterious stranger for a little while longer but at the same time she also wanted to be free. Now seemed like a better time than any to flee and escape the the damned Golden Lion knights once and for all. However before she could make up her mind, her thoughts were interrupted by the young male.

"Hey girly, how good are you at flirting?"

"Flir...ting?" Julia asked, confused about what the word was as she had never heard of the word before.

"Yeah, you know, sweet talking, toy with, lead on, tease," The young human tried to make his meaning clear even though he basically sounded like he was reading it off from somewhere. "I need you to distract two or more guards for at least 30 seconds. Do you think you can do that?"

"So let me get this straight," Julia said, her expression unreadable. "You want me to go and kiss up to the guys who enslaved me and treated me like dirt?"

"Well, you only have to do it for around 30 seconds as I'll no doubt have knocked all three of them out before anything can happen to you," the boy calmly explained, a small smile on his face.

For the first time since meeting the male, Julia broke out into a smile and her pointy ears perked up. "Fine, then lets do it."
