2 Unpleasant Beginning.

As I was touring Roxas Boulevard in Manila, thinking about how I can enter the Korean Entertainment Industry, what steps, or methods should I take to start up my dreams on becoming an idol.

Someone pats my back and she hands over her name card. I smiled and read the card... 'Kim Su Hyun, JYP Enterntainment'...? What's this? Am I getting scouted? Not to brag, but I do have handsome looks and striking eyes.

"Eh? Who are you? What is this for?" I asked, waiting for the answer of the beautiful lady in front of me.

She answers in broken english. "Hmm, I road scout you to JYP. Do you want to join korean entertainment?"

'Is she for real? Is this a scam?' I thought, but it's impossible since there are few scams here in the Philippines due to the rigorous laws that has been passed. So I agreed. "Of course, YES! What are the steps and requirements for me to join?" As I said that, I re-read the company name and I was so shocked to see that it was JYP Enterntainment. 'F***! JYPE! This is so surprising, I thought they only scout trainees in Korea, Japan and China? Guess I was lucky'

"We will have....to...talk to your parents first?" She says, and I readily agreed with it. Since there is no harm, given the fact that my parents are around the corner. I told her that my parents are within the vicinity.

"Mom, Dad! Here is Miss Kim. She wants to invite me for an audition for an Entertainment Agency in Korea. It's one of the biggest and largest Korean Entertainment there. She will ask for permission for me to join her in Korea to take the said audition."

My mom tilts her head and my father just glanced at the lady questioning her intention. Feeling the awkward atmosphere Miss Kim decided to talk and explain to them that she and the company would like me to audition and all the expenses are paid by them. That the security during my stay there will be okay and I will not be bullied there since the company atmosphere is good.

After the explanation, my mom, asked me "Son, are you really sure that you want to do this? We're already quite well-off here, you just have to continue your studies and graduate and we will give you the best life that we can give. You are already graduating in a few months. Why do you have to be an entertainer in another country?"

"Whew, mom, I really am thankful that I have a wonderful and fruitful life. However, mom, it's my dream, I just have not told you guys what my dream was. You wanted me to become a lawyer like you guys, but what I truly wanted was to become an Idol in Korea and become known world-wide. That was my dream ever since but I can't tell it to you since I do not have any chance nor any methods on how to do it. But since it's here, I might as well take the gamble." I explained....

My father interjected in the conversation. "Dear, if your son is decided, let's just support him. He has given his best for us. In just a few months he'll graduate. Albeit he will not get the bar exams but at least he is a degree holder. Let your son be and try to support him as much as you can. Right, Son?"

I looked at my dad in utter disbelief, it was the first time he told that to mom. Mind you, he was the first one to disagree with whatever decision that I made in the past. But now? He wants me to do it? It's shocking.

"Dad! Thank you! Thank you! You will never regret giving me the blessing that you have given me now!" I hugged him and mom....I saw my mom's tears and dad's smile. He then said "Go, spread your wings."

A few weeks after, I got my diploma and my visa going to Korea. Now, I am with Miss Kim in Korea. Going now to JYPE, I asked myself, is this the right decision? But I think it is. But I have a bad premonition. Still I went ahead with it.

After all the necessary things that had to be done, now I'm inside the audition place. While waiting for the judges of my audition. I was nervous, scared and jittery. Thinking that I won't be able to join this company and I had to go back to the Philippines and disappoint my parents. But I slapped myself and thought otherwise. 'I CAN DO THIS! I WILL MAKE THEM PROUD!'

Then the group of judges entered and I was shocked to see Park Jin Young in the flesh! Oh my God, he has this aura of an elite and his presence is heavy, must be because he is the head producer and CEO of this company.

"Annyeong haseyo, I am Trey Lucifer!" I greeted them with confidence and ofcourse with a bow to show the respect I have for them.

JYP gestured his hand and asked me... >"Please show us your performance. Fighting."< (Ofcourse this is in hanguk-eo)

I then calmed myself and sang Good Day of IU sunbaenim. For the dance routine, I did BTS-sunbae No More Dreams. After the performance, I saw them evaluate me and I'm nervous since I cannot see what they are right nor understand the korean words that are coming out of their mouth that much since I just learned the language weeks before coming here.

JYP then slowly said >"I liked your performance, and since that you are here would you like to sign a contract with our company as a trainee?"<

"Yes! Ofcourse! That's what I am here for" I smiled and shook their hands.

After a few months, the training was hard. I had a full packed schedule since I had to learn Hangeul, to dance more proficiently and with regards to my singing prowess. There's no doubt about it. I just had to train the normal way and to fix my pronunciation when singing in Hangeul.

>" Haah, haah. This is hard, but this is enjoyable. I like it like this, I never thought that I will be a step closer in reaching my dreams."< and while I was practicing my steps I saw an Idol looking at me. SHE was really beautiful. SHE was a Goddess sent from heaven. I stopped and greeted her. >"Hi! Trey imnida.<"

>"Hi! Did I disturb you? You look so tired, I saw you at around 8am and now after our rehearsals you are still here. It's already 1am.<" As she said with a smile. It was so enchanting, so bright. I guess that's what you can achieve when you become an idol, no?

>"No, it's okay. You did not. And yeah, I saw you guys earlier too. I know that you are doing your best on your comeback. I wish you good luck and slay the charts!<" I said to her while I remove the perspiration on my face.

>"Thank you! When are you going to be debut? I think you're good enough. Are there no new groups JYP PD-nim has in mind?<"

>"I'm not too sure about that, I just started learning Korean and I've been here for only a few months. So I guess that will be far in the future..<" I smiled and I think I saw her blush? Why?

>"Oh. Anyway, we have our inkigayo comeback tomorrow. See you when I see you!"<

I bowed and said >"Yeah, sure! Good luck!<" I smiled and waived.

Four years has passed, She and I got close. Very close. I don't know whether we can date since I will debut soon and she's a sunbae. All I know is that I wanted to take care of her. I knew that she was a foreigner too. Luckily, we had our chemistry. But due to the fact that no idols can date when in contract we can't just do it. We had to respect our companies wishes.

(JYP PD-Nim POV)

>"What?! He trained for more than four years already and you just say that we cannot debut him since the Board of Directors does not want him for he is a foreigner? What kind of thinking is that?! He is the best out of all trainees out here! We cannot do this to him!"< I shouted at them, my anger reached its peak. How can they do this to Trey? He is so hard working and based on what I can see, he really did his best! He aced all his requirements.

>"PD-Nim, he is already too old for the entertainment industry. He will just start, while the competitors are way younger than him. Look at him! Age 24, still not debuted?! PD-Nim, here's the candidate that we can give you and you do not have any say since you already resigned as CEO! You are only a Head Producer of this company.<" I heard him and while I saw his glare, I suddenly wanted to punch this honcho in front of me. But what can I say? The CEO and the Boards decision is the final decision and not the head Producer. It's my fault that I resigned. I should not have done that. Now I am here in this position. F***!

>"Alright, I'll do as you say. However, let him go to other companies and do not bar him to his path!<" I say to him.

He smirked. >"That all PD-nim?"<. I sighed, >"Yes, promise me."< He just nodded. Now I have to say it to his face. It's the least that I can do......
