The Mikaelson Family in an Irregular World (Paused)

"We've all heard the legends, the first vampires. Their eternal vow. How they roamed the Earth a thousand years, saw empires rise and fall. To most, they were monsters, but to a few, they were something more. If you look closely, you'll find traces of them through history. They've got a bit of a reputation. After a thousand years, things can get complicated. Eventually, they were drawn back to a place they once called home, somewhat reluctantly. But they just couldn't resist New Orleans where the good times roll, and the heads do too. It wasn't easy, but some things are worth fighting for. Some things you can't give up on, even when all hope is lost. Even when it seems like it's over; it's never over. Some things can't be broken. Every family has a legacy, and this is mine. I intend to fight for "Always and Forever", even if it destroys me." The Youngest Mikaelson, Henrik, is trapped inside an alternate world after being killed by the werewolves. His soul is bounded by strong magic which prevents him from ageing, and he is alone inside the alternative world with no living being present other than him. The only thing keeping him from going insane is the fact that from this alternate world, he can watch his family using Esther bloodline as a link. Over the centuries, he observes how his family lived, how they loved, how they hunted, how they hated, he saw it all. Over the years, Henrik grew to crave the bond that his siblings had; the love and trust was the thing he wanted more than anything. So he made a plan, to escape his imprisonment, he started absorbing more and more magic from his prison world. This world was not only his prison but also the source of his power. Henrik had a unique soul that caused his magic to grow more durable and more robust as he aged, this world steadily strengthened his soul so that his soul would become indestructible and handle his ever-growing magic. For a century he absorbed the magic around him and finally one day he was able to escape from the prison world successfully. He doesn't have a body; thus he created one for him, seeing that wherever his family went trouble would always follow he decided to escape from the clutches of the spirits and be reborn in a new word. A world that is different yet similar to the previous one at the same time. Chapter :-95 Experiment (Part-1)

2036, Japan, Old Metro Tokyo…..

[4th Research Institute]

"Arggghaa...!"

*Click!*

"Tsk!….Don't move, will you….!?"

"Huff…huff…"

"P-Please Kill me! Please! I beg of you!"

"If I kill you then on whom will I research upon?"

"N-No….Argghaa…!"

*Click!*

Inside the underground facility of the 4th institute, few spies sent by various countries were locked within the prison located in the western-sector.

Sarutobi Sasuke together with his [Assassin Corps] managed to capture most of the spies sent to Japan with the intention to monitor the 4-Great clans and act as sleeper agents.

Unfortunately for them, Sasuke was an expert at espionage and against someone with centuries of experience, the spies were nothing more than child's play.

As a spy, these individuals didn't have any human rights especially if a war was just beyond the horizon. Nobody cared about what happened to these pitiful individuals thus Henrik decided to use them as his test subjects.

(Inside a soundproof lab)

Henrik compelled them to follow his every command and made them sit down on an experiment chair as he locked their hands and feet in place.

*Click!*

Henrik wore a white lab coat and white gloves, his golden-framed glasses covered his cold and ruthless ocean-blue eyes.

Henrik along with the Yotsuba clan was researching on the Outer-Systematic Magic.

Outer-Systematic Magic didn't manipulate the physical objects, but the spirits themselves. They didn't belong to any type of system.

Some examples of this category were magic that manipulated spiritual beings, mind-reading, spirit separation, and even mind control.

However, this type of Magic had many specialized effects so there were strict limits imposed on them. Out of them, the restrictions were the harshest on the Mental Interference Type Magics.

Mental Design Interference, also known as "Mental Structure Interference" was a forbidden Mental Interference Type Magic which Henrik had hypothesised while creating the Modern Magic and its classifications.

It was thought of as a myth and a legend of the people, this was considered impossible to achieve and did not exist in any records except in an old story, of which the authenticity cannot be confirmed nor disproved.

According to Henrik, this Magic could potentially be used to forcibly alter the area of consciousness that creates strong emotions (the limbic system) in order to convert it into an Artificial Magic Calculation Area, creating an artificial Magician.

It could also be used to change a person's 'consciousness' shape by changing their memories into "knowledge", thus separating the emotions from the memories. Henrik considered this type of Magic to be very potent and restricted.

The Mental Design Interference had the side effect of weakening the life force of the person using it if the magic wasn't used at its full capacity.

It meant that theoretically, the magic could only be used at full capacity so to avoid backlash, also the number of uses were limited.

Henrik picked up a spherical metal band and placed it on the poor man's head, not before ordering him to stop moving.

"Stop moving…."

As if a mysterious force was forcing him to listen to Henrik's every command, the man suddenly lost all his will to resist and sat straight as tears flowed out of his eyes.

Henrik coldly ignored the pitiable man and properly placed the spherical band around his forehead.

The 'thing' had multiple holes in it, he picked up strange-looking spikes from the experiment tray and placed his left hand over the top of the prisoner's head who had started to tremble while tears continued to flow out of his eyes.

"This may sting a little but you wouldn't die….."

*Pierce!*

Henrik placed the long spike perpendicular to the flat surface area of the hole within the band and thrust it into his forehead.

"Aggghhhh!…."

The spike pierced his skull and made its way deep within the man's brain but unfortunately, the man was still alive, blood gathered around the place where the spike stabbed but didn't flow out instead it remained inside the skull.

It was Henrik who was using [Force] to keep the blood flowing within his body even though most of the veins had already stopped working.

"Huff….huff…Please let me—"

*Click!*

"Arghhh….!"

Henrik didn't let him speak and stabbed another spoke deep inside his skull through the other whole within the spherical band.

He was conducting research on the reaction and path of the signal the data took before entering the brain, he wanted to understand just how would the Outer-Systematic Magic would affect the working of the brain or would there be any permanent physical change within the shape and the size of the brain.

But he was not alone in the lab, a young man in his mid-twenties could be seen standing near the vitals monitor with a slightly uncomfortable expression over his face.

Yotsuba Genzou was the first Head of the Yotsuba Family, which is one of the Ten Master Clans.

Genzou was a man who valued his family, clan and his teacher (Henrik) immensely, going as far as wiping out approximately 4000 individuals in Northern Korea in the name of revenge for attacking the Gerard stronghold near the border.

Genzou believed that each member of the Yotsuba Family could eliminate no more than 120 of the lives of Northern Korean government officials, magicians, and researchers, especially after learning [Grim-Reaper] from Henrik.

Thus, he forced himself to continue with his revenge to reach at least the number so that it would be fair to others that have sacrificed themselves to aid him.

This also showed how he is a man with dignity, suiting his role as the head of Yotsuba.

Grim Reaper was a Mental Interference Type Magic of the Outer-Systematic Type unique to Yotsuba Genzou after Henrik taught him its use.

The magic plants a specific image within the target's mind, usually one of death. After the target has been exposed, no form of protection, distance, or time will stop the magic. As long as the victim recalls the image, the implanted suggestion will take physical form.

Thus, enemies who meet Genzou for a second time would kill themselves. The implantation process did not seem to require a direct meeting, but the final kill did require it.

The target had to be aware of the user and the user has to be aware of the target. The only way to survive is by getting rid of the memory of the image.

After researching for quite some time, Henrik found out that since his [Force] hid his 'data' within Eidos, making it impossible to find it, the Modern magic which was all about altering, changing, deleting, recreating, duplicating Eidos was useless against him, making him immune to Modern Magic.

Even "Superpowers" worked on Eidos thus also being ineffective on Henrik though Ancient Magic did affect him.

This meant that the Mikaelson family had passive immunity towards Modern Magic, and in this ever-growing world which was fascinated with Modern Magic, soon there wouldn't be any magician who would be able to even hurt a Mikaelson, no matter how strong he or she was.

But this immunity also had a flaw, if something other than a Mikaelson was being targetted upon then the magic would work, for example, if a Juumonji clan member used [Phalanx] and sent a wall towards a Mikaelson then the wall would push and effect a Mikaelson since there is no direct interference with a Mikaelson's Eidos.
