Chapter :-85 Establishing Secret Magical Research Groups

After returning from Hong-Kong, Henrik spends a few years gathering detailed information on the classified cases of using 'Supernatural powers' or rather Magic and formulated the design and objective of his plan to establish [Secret Magical Research Groups].

These institutes need to be kept as a secret and funded by the [National Defense Force], consisting of the four-great clans. These research facilities needed to be established for gathering practical information from experiments and figure out how Magic work?

Usually to conduct detailed analysis on a new object, unethical and immoral experiments had to be done, experiments which could induce mass panic in the civilians and go against basic human rights, thus utmost secrecy needed to be maintained.

The researchers involved in these institutes were under direct compulsion from Henrik himself so that nothing could be leaked outside and all evidence could be safely hidden. The researchers had their death faked and were then cut off from the outside world, focusing solely on their jobs while Henrik promised them a king's life after they retired.

After preparing a detailed plan and his successful results, he summoned the other 3-commanders of the nation to discuss the situation with them and register these institutes in Level-12 authorization only, only 5-people in the whole military had a clearance of the highest Level, Current Minamoto clan head, Current Koga clan head, Current Oda clan head, Current Gerard clan head and Henrik of the Mikaelson clan.

In the meeting room of the commanders, he introduced the others to his plan and the 'Supernatural powers' case. His detailed planning and suggestions were easily approved by the other leaders after examining the data he had shared with them. After a few hours of discussion, the four leaders agreed with his proposal and gave the project their clearance.

Every one of them respected Henrik a lot, not only the Mikaelson clan was always praised and respected by the previous clan heads but adding to the fact that Henrik was the 'youngest' of them all and even so displayed such insight, maturity and I.Q truly left them speechless. Also, his 'age' didn't hinder his personal strength which made the others realize just how powerful the mysterious Mikaelson clan was!

Henrik was able to achieve such a stable governing body due to the fact that the four-great clans were closely tied to each other. Oda clan had been supported by the Gerard family since before the Sengoku period, Koga clan was close friends with the Gerard family and still sent their ninja's as a tribute to the Mikaelson clan and as a proof of their undying loyalty.

Minamoto clan had the closest relationship with the Gerard family as women of the Minamoto clan were mostly married to the men of the Gerard family, making every-generation marriage an indestructible bridge joining the two clans and the most important fact-Gerard family was the branch family of the Mikaelson clan thus indirectly connecting all of them together.

Also, the fact that Henrik had equally divided the power with the four clans cemented their trust and loyalty to the Mikaelson clan, no matter what. Henrik had learned from his brother's mistakes, if Nik would have trusted his subordinates a little and gave them some real power then they wouldn't have rebelled against him.

After the discussion, Minamoto clan head presented the proposal of overseeing the research in their areas and communicate with each other when any major information is found, the proposal sounded reasonable and Koga clan head decided to make it more practical.

She added to the proposal, saying that they should try body modifications using 'Supernatural powers' and strengthen their military might if the modifications are successful.

Henrik agreed and so did the other, it was then decided to gather some soldiers and make them undergo body modifications using the data Henrik had collected. To train a special squad consisting of "Super-soldiers" who could use 'Supernatural powers' after which they would be sent to different institutes established by the government, Henrik volunteered to personal train and command this squad and make the best out of them.

A Mikaelson himself participating in teaching the new squad astonished the other leaders but excitement could also be seen in their eyes.

They agreed and the construction of [Secret Magical Research Groups] had begun after the watchful eyes of the four-Great clans. In 2-years, secret labs and test subjects were arranged, 50-soldiers with the capability to use 'Supernatural powers' were arranged and tested upon, 43 of them died during the unbearable procedures and pain caused by the [Body modifications] while 7 of them survived.

All of them had varying degrees of synchronization with their body modifications but the lowest was about 75% while 98% was the highest. Kudou Retsu had a body modification synchronization rate of 95% and displayed outstanding willpower during the procedure.

Kudou Retsu, Owanaka Hidori, Musane Mushe, Sudama Suian, Mitsuni Hamaro, Kuioji Jiko and Haorii Mityami, the survivors of the body modification experiment which proved to be a success.

The seven of them were giving a few months to rest and get used to their body modifications while Freya had finally designed a more fitting and easy way to do Witchcraft, thinking only about the name of the spell would activate it and chants were to longer needed.

The spell worked due to the intent stored in the chants but Freya created a folder in her Purple-pendant which had her different intents imprinted on it, turning it into an instant casting tool. The designing and hard work it took her was very much but at the end of the day, she was able to achieve something which no other witch could and even covered the basic weakness of a Witch, their casting speed.

Honda Tadakatsu stayed by Freya's side in order to protect her from any kind of harm even though Izanami was awake and watching her master, ready to act if things got out of hand. The other servants were also busy in their tasks which Henrik-sama had given them.

Rebekah had already completed building the secret base underneath their vacation estate and Henrik wanted to start training the 7 soldiers in a place far away from prying eyes; what a perfect timing it was for him!

Garcia and Rebekah returned to Japan and decided to visit Kiyohime, taking her with them on a holiday after giving the responsibilities of the clan to Muneshige who acted as a temporary clan head in her absence while Freya focused on undiscovering the secrets of the Meteoroid that Khan had gifted Henrik with.

The God residing within Rebekah's pendant was still in deep sleep while Fujin was a trouble maker, always blowing fast wind whenever Rebekah combed her hair, making her rage.
