The Mikaelson Family in an Irregular World (Paused)

"We've all heard the legends, the first vampires. Their eternal vow. How they roamed the Earth a thousand years, saw empires rise and fall. To most, they were monsters, but to a few, they were something more. If you look closely, you'll find traces of them through history. They've got a bit of a reputation. After a thousand years, things can get complicated. Eventually, they were drawn back to a place they once called home, somewhat reluctantly. But they just couldn't resist New Orleans where the good times roll, and the heads do too. It wasn't easy, but some things are worth fighting for. Some things you can't give up on, even when all hope is lost. Even when it seems like it's over; it's never over. Some things can't be broken. Every family has a legacy, and this is mine. I intend to fight for "Always and Forever", even if it destroys me." The Youngest Mikaelson, Henrik, is trapped inside an alternate world after being killed by the werewolves. His soul is bounded by strong magic which prevents him from ageing, and he is alone inside the alternative world with no living being present other than him. The only thing keeping him from going insane is the fact that from this alternate world, he can watch his family using Esther bloodline as a link. Over the centuries, he observes how his family lived, how they loved, how they hunted, how they hated, he saw it all. Over the years, Henrik grew to crave the bond that his siblings had; the love and trust was the thing he wanted more than anything. So he made a plan, to escape his imprisonment, he started absorbing more and more magic from his prison world. This world was not only his prison but also the source of his power. Henrik had a unique soul that caused his magic to grow more durable and more robust as he aged, this world steadily strengthened his soul so that his soul would become indestructible and handle his ever-growing magic. For a century he absorbed the magic around him and finally one day he was able to escape from the prison world successfully. He doesn't have a body; thus he created one for him, seeing that wherever his family went trouble would always follow he decided to escape from the clutches of the spirits and be reborn in a new word. Chapter:-122 "Is this the Power of a God?" (Part-2)

"Ready….? Begin!…." As soon as Genzou gave the signal, Maya immediately jumped back before raising her gun-shaped C.A.D towards Henrik intending to go offensive from the beginning as her goal wasn't defeating Henrik's clone rather she just had to inflict some damage on him and she would be the winner.

Unfortunately for her, Henrik was already prepared….he burst into a sprint towards her while instant casting [Convergence Type Magic:- Air Bullets]. The casting speed displayed by Henrik shocked Maya while his magic was already upon her.

Multiple magic sequence appeared in the air surround Maya and blasting a condensed canon of air from every direction. Maya had to forcefully switch to defensive from offensive, as she cast [Convergence Type Magic:-Schild] to protect herself.

She raised her C.A.D above her head and activated her magic, a shield formed around her body as the [Air bullets] impacted her shield.

[Schild] was a convergence magic technique that applied the effects similar to [Panzer] (Tank) to the caster's CAD only to turn it into an enhanced shield. Even so, the ground caved in due to the intense force applied by Henrik's attack.

As soon as the [Air bullets] ended, Maya immediately used [Convergence Type Magic:-Bias Release] to attack Henrik's clone, she raises her C.A.D towards Henrik who was coming towards her and pulled the trigger.

Henrik's eyes widened a bit, he immediately jumped out of the path towards Maya. The air above where Henrik had been standing a second ago burst into an explosion.

*Boom*

[Bias Release] was a Magic that created an explosive shock wave upon contact with the desired target location by shooting a compressed block of air.

Convergence Type "Bias Release" was highly convoluted and inefficient, thus making it second rate magic.

The normal way to use this magic was to compress the atmosphere on one side, then force its release at an angle, at high pressures. Its process is similar to pumping air into one side of a can and sealing it, then opening the other end towards the target. This creates an advantage where the concentrated compressed air would strike with greater force and higher control over the direction of the force than normal air.

"Both Maya and Henrik-sama are only using [Convergence Type Spell]…?" Miya was curious about the match between his little sister and Henrik, especially since they were only using [Convergence Type Magic].

"Maya had high affinity over the [Convergence Type Magic], she is at an advantage in the battle….Henrik-sama isn't using any truly destructive spells against Maya while she counters whatever is thrown at her."

"Henrik-sama is testing her decision-making abilities, a single spell has more than one counters, what kind of path you choose displays your ability to process the situation….she need to quickly win otherwise she would be done for," Genzou explained while watching Henrik's real body sipping on his tea which doesn't seem to end.

After dodging the explosion, Henrik (clone) raised his hand as [Maana] flew mid-air and like a bow, the chains attached to it were stretched by quite a bit.

"[Convergence Type Magic:-Greater Dry Blizzard]…."

The chains relaxed as the bow blasted a magic sequence above Maya's head. A rather large magic sequence appeared above her head as multiple large boulders made of dry ice flew over Maya.

[Dry Blizzard] was a Movement Type, Convergence Type, and Release Type Magic that collected the carbon dioxide in the air to produce particles of dry ice. The dry ice flew at high speed by converting the thermal energy lost during the freezing process into kinetic energy. The higher the initial temperature, the greater the velocity. But Henrik's spell increased the size of the dry ice into huge boulders by making use of quality over quantity.

"Tsk…." Maya knew that she needed to defend against the falling dry ice boulders and casts [MovementType Magic:-Inference Armor].

Interference Armour was a Movement Type Wide Area Interference barrier that extended in a one-meter radius when activated. The Dry ice collided against the sphere covering Maya and broke into smaller pieces.

"This is it….." Henrik calmly sips on his tea as he turned his eyes from the battlefield. Miya turns towards Henrik and asked him the reason behind his words whereas Genzou just shook his head.

"What do you mean…?" Henrik just motioned towards his clone that had already finished casting another simple spell.

"[Convergence Type Magic:-Halt]..." The broken boulders shone with an ominous light as the magic sequence beneath them activated.

Halt was a convergence magic technique that fixed the relative object to a certain point, preventing movement by external forces.

Since the boulders became unmovable for some time, Maya had cancelled [Inference Armor] was stuck between the boulders and couldn't move effectively.

"Oh…no!" Maya immediately used magic to force her way out of this bind.

"[Movement+Convergence Type Magic:-Suspension]…"

Maya 'jumped' over the boulders, trying to escape from the bind.

Suspension was a Movement Type and Convergence Type Magic that utilized four processes. The activation of all the Magic Sequence's occurs as a single spell; to lift an object, suspend it in the air, slowly lower it, and then maintain it in place, all one after another when the variables are defined.

Unfortunately for Maya, Henrik didn't give her a chance to organize herself and immediately used [Linear Sandstorm] with a wave of his hand, the [Maana] once again arched back and shot a magic sequence.

A strong sandstorm crashed into Maya, sending her rolled on the ground. Fortunately, she used [Suspension] to cancel out most of the inertia gained by the attack and crashed quite softly.

Linear Sandstorm was a Speed Type and Convergence Type Compound Magic, where the fine dust particle raised into the air as the centre, creates an Area of Effect offensive magic, which constructs layers upon layers of complexity around it as it's spun around.

Maya stands up and raises her only to see [Maana] arched back, a second away from firing a spell which she did recognize.

"[Convergence Type Magic:-Greater Dry Blizzard]…" Henrik once again dropped a giant dry ice boulder over Maya who looked towards the incoming boulder.

ᒥ….Is this it…?....ᒧ

ᒥ....I couldn't even near him…?....ᒧ

ᒥ....Is this how this battle will end…?....ᒧ

Maya looked towards her elder sister and father.

Miya also looked towards her sister with concealed worry and concern which Henrik noticed whereas Genzou had clenched his fists tightly as he awaited the result of the battle.

ᒥ....NO…! I refuse to be defeated like this!....ᒧ

A magic sequence appeared within her mind, a vague image of a spell, the spell which made her the "Strongest Magician in the world".

"[Flash-cast:-Meteor Stream]…."

An "instant magic" sequence appeared beneath Maya as multiple small white dots appeared around her body before launching towards the ice boulder with extreme speed. The moving dots resembled a meteor stream as it drilled through the ice and headed towards Henrik.

[Meteor Stream] was Convergence-type Systematic magic, which controlled the distribution of light in its area of effect. Its power was especially amplified in a closed space such as rooms or tunnels. The apparent process of this magic was that it first forms countless tiny balls of light floating in the darkened area, which are then shot out like rays.

The attack appears like a shower of lasers, but the power of Meteor Line has no connection with the energy of the light.

Even the amount of light is irrelevant. The essence of the magic lies in forcing the redistribution of light, where the coordinates for light to be in are set as little balls and lines are then drawn between them.

Anything in the space the light passes through is modified as the light is transmitted: regardless of the hardness of the object, heat resistance, plasticity, or resilience; a hole is drilled through. Not even highly transparent glass holds optical transparency of 100%, and cannot escape the event modification that 'light has passed through' and therefore 'a hole was made'

[Flash Cast] was the Yotsuba Family's secret Single Systematic Magic Casting Techniques. It is made possible by mentally "carving" the images of the Activation Sequence into memory.

Normally, a CAD facilitates the invocation of magic by providing the Activation Sequence, which is then absorbed into the Magician's Magic Calculation Area, where it is translated into a Magic Sequence.

Thus the spell building process is:

Caster - Psion Signals inserted into CAD - Electrical Signals within CAD to activate the Activation Sequence - Activation Sequence sent back into caster as electrical signals via nervous system into the Magic Calculation Area - Construction of the Magic Sequence - Spell Output.

However, with the Activation Sequence mentally carved into their brains, Yotsuba Family members can directly recall the Activation Sequence from memory without the aid of a CAD. The Magician is able to directly start the process of creating Magic Sequences in the brain. This essentially eliminates the time spent converting Psion signals into electric signals, processing of the electric signals through the CAD, and then sending of those signals into the Magician's Magic Calculation Area.

This bypasses all the steps required before the construction of the Magic Sequence and allows for casting times that are at least as fast as the casting times with even the most specialized (and the fastest) CADs.

The beautiful meteor stream headed towards Henrik at an unavoidable speed. Miya and Maya had a smile on their face as they thought that the fight was over. It was 'nearly' impossible to block Maya's attack, thus they were sure that the clone wouldn't survive the attack.

Genzou let out a sigh and let go of all of his tension as he watched the Meteor stream made its way towards Henrik's clone. He turned towards Henrik (Real) and was about to speak but froze when he saw the slight smile on the corner of Henrik's face.

"[Convergence+Absorption Type Magic:-Mirror Cage]…"

The clone raised his arm in front of him as a sphere of darkness covered his body.

Mirror Cage was an area of effect spell that utilizes Convergence Type and Absorption Type magic.

Mirror Cage works by setting a target as the origin, causing every light source within a certain radius to be reversed, so that no outside light can penetrate the area surrounding the target, which results in a pitch-black prison.

Thus successfully deflecting the incoming [Meteor stream].

Henrik (Real) thought to himself while sipping on his tea.

ᒥ....The real battle is about to begin….ᒧ

The corners of his lips hooked up as he let out a sly smile.
