16 Protect You Forever

Snowy squinted at Mo Yuan as it felt the dazzling feeling coming from him. It stealthily backed off some distance away for fear of getting involved just by the virtue of being there. 

"Second Brother, that's enough." Luo Qingyi rolled his eyes. "Be careful not to spin our Xiaoman too much and make her dizzy." He said showing his displeasure. 

"Hahaha, do you think Xiaoman is as weak as you?" In any case, he let go of Luo Xiaoman. 

"Second Brother, I think you better hurry up and move the General away. If Father finds out that you tested the General on Xiaoman, he'll skin you alive." 

Luo Qinghen shivered as he recalled how Luo Mushan babied Luo Xiaoman. He hastily packed the General into a storage bag and groveled his way out. 

Luo Qingyi put on a serious face after Luo Qinghen left. He spoke to Luo Xiaoman, "Xiaoman, I've news about the Celestial Fruit which you told me to keep an eye on." 

Luo Xiaoman's eyes brightened. "Where is it?" she asked excitedly. 

"Bai Luo Mountain."

"Right, it's in Bai Luo Mountain."

Instantly, the Ring Spirit appeared and spoke earnestly. 

Luo Xiaoman despised the Ring Spirit in her heart. She spoke softly, "Are you sure it's not an afterthought?" 

"Of course not." The Ring Spirit continued with a stern look, "Do I look like that kind of a Ring Spirit?" 

"Yes!" 

"..."

The Ring Spirit's face turned gloomy. It pouted and changed the topic. "Little kid, I see this brother of yours. Isn't his body a little weird?" 

"Weird? How?" Luo Xiaoman was confused. 

"There seems to be a wisp of devilish energy surrounding him. It's constantly eroding his life force. However, the whole process is very slow, so slow that it's barely discernible." 

"What are you talking about?" Luo Xiaoman felt a little bit depressed. If there really was a devilish energy surrounding Luo Qingyi, it meant that he wasn't born weak. He was being victimized. 

"That's it. It's the jade pendant."

Luo Xiaoman's eyes lit up. She laid her eyes on the jade pendant on Luo Qingyi's chest. 

"Cough! Cough! Xiaoman, what's wrong?" Luo Qingyi looked at Luo Xiaoman blankly and realized that she was staring intensely at the jade pendant on his chest. 

"Is there anything wrong with this jade pendant?"

"Big Brother, this jade pendant of yours looks really pretty."

"If you like it, you can have it." Luo Qingyi smiled and took the jade pendant off his neck. "This jade pendant is yours anyway." 

"Eh?" Luo Xiaoman was taken aback. She looked at Luo Qingyi suspiciously.

After listening to this, Luo Xiaoman realized something. "My test results were just the opposite of everyone's expectation. So, all their gifts were given to you instead. Is that right?"
