197 CONFINEMENT

Louisa managed to stand up, though she swayed slightly from the pain of her fall and the scrapes on her skin. She looked up and saw the thickened clouds that obscured most of the moon. The only light on her path came from the constellation of stars in the sky. It was a starry night at least--there was hope. With bated breath and uncertain of what Rochester was up to, she picked up her heels and felt the soft wind bruise her neck and face as she scanned around for any coaches. Strangely, there was no one in sight, but she was determined to find a coach. Coaches ran until very late into the night and right now should be past 8:00 p.m. if she wasn't mistaken.
