AGITATED

Rochester was not having it with his mood right then. Adelaide's health made him sad, but Louisa's return made him sadder. There was something different about the girl he'd brought home with him; Louisa. And for the very fact she had bared her whole truth out to him, he ought to give her a chance but he wouldn't. Better not to fall prey again, he thought. By the time Rochester reached the doorway to his study, his mind was more worn out from thinking, and his mood was grossly torn apart.

Letting his shoulders round themselves, he blew out a sigh as he turned on the knob. He didn't even know what he was doing, letting Louisa into his home. But for Adelaide's sake, he could truly go to any lengths.
