The Mercenary System

The universe is, by its very nature. vast, unpredictable, bountiful, and yet random to the point of being unfair. Simply being born in the wrong place at the wrong time can damn you for life.. and yet with that risk comes with it the possibility of reward. Those who persevere in the face of such adversity can rise above their given lot in life. For while life is truly unfair it is also without limit to potential. For those that disagree I would remind you that most limits are in the mind and can be overcome given enough effort.
