2 Bloody Axes
Captain Erina couldn't believe a copper rank mercenary could fight like that , she was surprised by the boys mettle but by looking at the boys equipment and age she was sure he was fresh of the province.
Godi was wearing his fathers spare equipment.
"You are a survivor?" she enquired looking Godi up and down.
"Yes I am probably part of the few lucky ones like yourself who survived that onslaught" God I had a sad face after remembering the carnage that happened.
"Good you can join us we need every men or woman that can hold a weapon if were going to make it." She smiled at him happy to see another Grey but most of all another soldier even if he was a mercenary.
Godi smiled back at her hearing the senserity in her voice.
As Godi and Erina was talking the knights slowly gathered behind them waiting for them to finish to give an account on the melee.
"I think your knights are waiting for you my lady" Godi pointed behind her.
" Yes you are right thank you and follow me" she waved him to follow her.
As she turned around the knights saluted her and her trusted knight Jocelyn stepped forward to give her report.
There were no casualties just some bump, bruises and light wounds and soon Lady Erina started giving out orders to the knights and said some brave words to the refugees and they started trudging on again towards the fortress of Acui.

"General Marsh we have subdued and now are hunting the grey and Touri survivors"
Commander Hishbro gave his report.
Commander Hisbro was from a long line of nobility his familys wealth was invaluable to gather so many men under their banner on the other hand General Marsh was from a long line of military leadership.
"Good Commander you have done an excellent job" The general smiled wickedly at the reports.
The Theodorian empire was an expansionist existance they have conquered kingdom after kingdom but this time the alliance of the two the battle became hard fought.
"We need to exterminate the survivors or they will regroup and fight again these kingdoms were not small unlike any others kingdoms before them." The general looked at the surrounding commanders.
The reason that the battle was hard fought was they raised the red sigil the sign of three mons and stars that indicated they were not giving any quarter so the Grey and Touri rough hard even if they have lost.
"Reporting" a runner ran inside the tent where they were having a meeting.
Survivors were spotted in the main highway. They have organized and are putting up a fight.
"See that" General pointed at the messenger, these kingdoms are stubborn bastard.
"Send the Bloody axe mercenary company they will handle these wretched rats" The general started laughing.

Godi was given the scouting position with his equipment he was perfect for the job.
The caravan was slowly but surely trudging thru the forest as they heard shouts from the surrounding countryside.
"Sounds like a fight is breaking out over the west hill, that's by the main highway" God I was thinking about bad luck.
Godi started running to the the west end of the forest to see that some wooded fortifications and men trying to past them. He can recognize grey and Touri men their time are usually dyed black compared to the Theodorian empire red dye.
"Looks like their putting up a good fight for now but they won't hold long if more men come I should report this to Captain Erina maybe she can take command of these soldiers" Godi though.
Godi ran back toward the eastern part of the countryside as fast as he can and when he got back Captain Erina was already putting a vanguard together.
"You heard the commotion on the west side by the main highway I presume." Godi saluted and gave his report.
"About a hundred men, soldiers mixed with mercenaries but only a few knights but the enemy is showering them with troops what do you want to do?"
Erina looked at Godi and with a determined look. " We will help".

"The enemy is retreating!"
Luitenant Gars looked at the hastily built fortifications he has built and with a deep sigh he sat down.
Captain hard knew that after their defeat the Theodorian empire has sent scouts to kill survivors and this was not his first campaign with the red sigil.
"Take the wounded to the back archers back to the front they will send another wave in we can retreat after that as he looked towards the horizon seeing the red wave overhead.
A horn blew and the red tired deceased for a moment followed by drums.
He can see a new company of ment moving to the front, men full of gear with axes in their hands and silver in their collar except the captain who has a gold birch in his collar.
"Bloody axes!"
" Men get ready! but as Lieutenant Gars yelled the Bloody axes charge at them with unwavering courage with a mouth full of battle cries and determination of a bull.
"Archers put them down!" luitenant Gars frantic command can be heard over the battlefield.
The bloody axes did not avoid the fortifications they just started hacking at it Then going thru it.
Luitenant Gars watch in horror as these unstoppable beast plowed at them.
"Shield wall!"
As the lines clashed the Grey and Touri lines bended even with better training their moral was already low.
"Form ranks!"
"Push Damn you!"
"Die just die!"
Lieutenant Gars can see the line stretching as men were hacked, beheaded and crippled in the first few ranks.
"This is it" Lieutenant Gars though before.
"Crash!" the side of the bloody axes were plowed by some knights.
Luitenents Gars was surprised by the turn of events , suddenly he heard a voice of a woman.
"Hold steady! We are here now victory is assured!"
luitenent Gars saw the situation turning around as the knights started to turn the Bloody axes flank.

Godi was part of the vanguard, the first bloody axes he saw was skewered in the face with his spear the next on tried to smash him with a vertical slash which he stopped by aiming at the mans fingers with his spear. Fingers started dropping as his spear hit the man and you can hear him yell in pain then Godi pulled his spear back and thrusted it forward into the mans mouth.
The bloody axes started turning but with the front now pushing they were being forced into a half circle and would soon be surrounded if they did not retreat.
A horn sounded and with that the rear started pushing to the side but with the unfriended flank the bloody axes were cut in two.
Godi saw what was happening and yelled.
"They're cut in two! Encircle the front the rest cover us! as Godi launch towards the upper half of the bloody axes.
A few of the bloody axes saw what was happening and tried to break out unfortunately Godi was there, he thrusted his spear into the mans chest as his spear pierced thru it broke and another enemy saw him and slashed towards him. He stopped the man by grabbing the axe handle with his right-hand the with his left slowly lowering his other hand and hitting the mans arm while jerking the axe out of his hand then he turned the axe and slashed towards the mans face which cut the mans face in half.
This surprised the enemy! he cut the mans face single handedly with a double handed axe.
The next one that tried to get past tried to push him and he pushed the axe into the mans face with a bloody nose the man fell backwards then he brought the axe down and cut of one of the mans leg.
While the axe was still below Godi he pushed the axe forward and with one hand he did an underhanded swing and hit the next one in the crotch which brought the man to his knees and the Godi swung again cutting the mans head off.
Everyone that saw what was happening were in fear of the killing technique of this young man then a man with a golden plate tried to surge towards Godi by pushing his axe towards him but Godi met the axe head on both axes thumped axes each other almost sending the bloody axes axe out of the captains hand and with this Godi thruster the axe towards the enemy's face then swerving it missing him and the Godi pulled the axe grabbing the enemy neck pulling him downwards to his knees and then Jodi swung his axe downwards hitting the enemies back and crushing his spinal cord after the man couldn't move anymore he finished him off by crushing his head with his underfoot.
Everyone that saw this saw an unimaginable killing technique of this young man and all they can hear is doom, the fear he inflicted was so massive the enemy lost all heart.
The hole was finally plugged by Godi and the killing started all over again, no Bloody axe in the encirclement survived.
As the battle ended everyone was looking at Godi as he was a master of death and destruction the fear and awe everyone felt we deep.

"Who is in charge here?" Captain Erina went to the front.
"I am, luitenant Gars at your device ma'am. Captain Gars saluted.
"Garther them quickly the Theodorians might come back with more men". Captain Erina commanded.
Lieutenant Gars quickly started to issue orders all the injured were carried and the they looted as much as possible on the battlefield whoever had broken weapons and armor were looted. Of course they will have to dye the armor s when they have time they didn't want to look like the enemy but for bow they carried what they can into the forest.
When they got into the forest the soldiers were welcomed by the caravan , more armed people meant more protection for them. The soldiers were surprised to see the caravan and soon orders were ensued to where they would be in the caravan.
The caravan started marching off again as wounded were put into wagons and goods counted to what they should bring and what should be left behind.
"I'm surprised you put up that defensive position there." Captain Erina looked at Luitenant Gars.
""There were more of us my lady we were the rear guard". Lieutenant Gars started to explain.
"More of us are ahead then that's good, how many?" Captain Erina was static to hear more survived.
"About four hundred more are ahead of us." Captain Gars smiled seeing that his fellow countywoman was in such a jubilant mood.
"We going to the fortress of Acui everyone that survived should be going there to regroup" Captain Erina started explaining their plans.
As Captain Erina and Luitenant Gars were talking the caravan came to life and started moving their slow moving pace towards the fortress of acui.
