"Gotham City Police Department, how could we help you?... Yes... Yes, uhm, okay. The police are on their way ma'am. Yes, yes. Okay, thank you for reporting, please immediately evacuate to safety. Yes. Bye ma'am". An officer sighed as he returned the phone to its place.

*Ring*

*Ring

*Ring*

But not even a second passed and the Telephone rang once again.

The officer sighed as he picked up the phone and answered. "Gotham City Police Department, how could we help you?... WHAT?! T-That... I see, ma'am, please kindly evacuate the area as we dont know what could happen, yes, thank you ma'am".

The officer put the telephone down and called out at the office that are full of police handling phone calls from the civillians. "Commissioner Gordon, we have an emergency".

A man who looks like he was somewhere in his 60's could be seen working on a pile of paperworks, he looked up and stared at the officer who called him and asked.

"What's the emergency?"

"It was reported that about Twenty or more people has been found dead in an alley in xx street". The officer reported.

Commissioner Gordon frowned and asked. "There is more in that isn't it?"

The officer didn't delayed anymore as he reported the whole situation with a heavy tone. "Twenty or more people are found dead, but they are all nothing but charred corpses sir, that's why their exact number could not be determined exactly".

"Charred corpses?!" Commissioner Gordon stared at the officer in shock. And then as he thought more of the charred corpses, he realized something as his expression turned dire.

Seeing him like that, the officer confirmed. "It's Deadpool, sir".

"Shit". Commissioner Gordon cursed and hurriedly asked.

"Then where is he?!"

"It was said that the Batman was currently on his tail sir, the other police officers decided to follow him to find Deadpool, but his batmobile was just too fast for them to follow". The officer reported once again.

"Batman's batmobile was stealthy but is just too eye-catching in public. Go and find where it currently was. We should move, this murderer need to be put into a stop and be captured for good!" Commissioner Gordon said the last part with all seriousness.

The officer saluted and replied in affirmation. "Yes sir!"

The officer then made his exit as he was going to initiate the Commissioner's order.

"Deadpool...". Commissioner Gordon mumbled as he started getting ready.

...

"It's in that building! Citizens reported that they saw the recently famous Vigilante and Mercenary, Deadpool and Batman fighting at the rooftop!" A Swat officer yelled as the helicopter's noise were too loud.

If he do not shout then no one could hear him.

"Where are they then?" Asked by another officer as the helicopter's light lit up the the dark and gloomy buildings.

"There are traces of their battle there! Drive the helicopter beside that area!" Another officer, who looks to be in charged of the team, ordered the pilot as he saw the remains of the battle between Batman and Deadpool earlier.

The pilot nodded as he then controlled the helicopter to go beside that particular building.

The officer then proceeded to report what they saw in his handheld transceiver (Walkie-Talkie) to inform the other units that they found the building.

("We are on our way"). Replied by the voice in the transceiver.

Finished reporting, the leader of the team then reminded his team to get ready as they didn't know if deadpool and batman was still on the building.

Done with the preparation, the helicopter they were riding then finally arrived beside the building.

The leader signalled his team to move as they then all hurriedly and skillfully jumped off the helicopter and landed on the rooftop of the building.

After they landed, the helicopter immediately flew away as to not arouse any attention and let it be interpreted like it was just passing by as the Swat team then went into stealth.

Each of them were equipped with a night vision goggles so they could all clearly see in the dark.

"Let's split, you four go that way, you three go there, while the rest of us go this way. Report immediately if you find something or anything unsual". The leader instructed as his team all nodded and went on their way.

Outside that particular building, Commissioner Gordon finally arrived at the scene with a group of Police behind him. He went out of the police car and inspected the building.

His strict and ever so serious eyes roamed the building, checking out the current situation.

Realizing that he really could not fully assess the situation just by looking, Gordon then turned his attention into another Police officer that seems to be in charged of another group that had arrived first at the scene as he then strode his way with the intent of asking more infromation.

Arriving beside the officer, Commissioner Gordon cleared his throat to notify the officer of his presence.

The officer heard the sound behind him so he turned around. Seeing who it was, he remained professional as he saluted. "Commssioner Gordon".

Gordon saluted back as he then asked the officer. "How's the situation?"

The officer nodded as he reported. "We found Batman's batmobile parked beside the building earlier, so we let a professional team of Technicians solve its functions while we check the building of Batman and Deadpool's presence.

Currently, there are two teams of Swat inside the building. One team entered the building through the rooftop where they reported that they found traces of wreckage on its floors and layout.

While the other team of Swat officers entered through the entrance of the building and was slowly making their way up, that team didn't encountered anything unsual yet".

Commissioner Gordon was silent in contemplation as he looked up and stared at the building.

A couple of seconds later, he averted his gaze off the building as he nodded at the officer.

"Good work". Gordon praised the officer as he went back on inspecting the building.

The officer saluted once again as he went back on his job.

...

("We found something here"). The Swat commander leading the Swat team heard a report on his transceiver.

Founding their first clue, the Commander replied. ("Copy that").

The whole team then met up at the location that the officer in the transceiver relayed, and when they arrived, they could not help but stare onto each other.

In front of them was a a floor, or what remained of the floor as it was now nothing but a huge hole, it looks like it was bombed or something so they were deciding whether to check inside it or not.

The team then turned their gaze at their commander and the commander was silent for a moment, he was trying to check any audible sounds below that could mean someone else's presence.

After confirming that there are no sounds whatsoever for a full minute, he then instructed the team to get down.

("We found a hole in the rooftop, it leads inside the building, we are heading in"). Commissioner Gordon heard the report in the transceiver.

He looked at the Police officers who responded back at the Swat officer inside and looked back again at the building.

Squinting his eyes, Commissioner Gordon noticed something.

'A hole? Heading downwards is it? So that means they are either still inside the building or... They already made their exit into this part of the building'. Gordon thought.

He keep on squinting his eyes as he could not really see well as the building was shrouded in darkness, they also did not flashed a light in the building as to not aroused any attention.

They were here to capture someone after all, they wanted to do it stealthily, as when that time that they did it deliberately, Deadpool escaped.

Not only once, twice or thrice, but many times!

So they learned from their mistakes and everytime that someone reported Deadpool's location, the police would go into stealth mode.

Commissioner Gordon keep on staring at the building hard until his eyesight finally adapted to it as he then noticed another hole in one of its floors' walls!

"This...". Gordon mumbled as he inspected the surroundings of that wall.

'There are no platforms around that wall, so it could only mean that it could only lead downwards if they exited from the building through that...'. Gordon then trailed his gaze downwards.

'There!' Commissioner Gordon internally exclaimed as he thought of the possibilty that Batman and Deadpool might be on the next building's rooftop after exiting that particular hole!

Not wasting anytime, Gordon took out his pistol on his holster and ordered. "Follow me to the building next to this".

The officers were confused on why he ordered that, so they unconsciously didn't moved due to confusion.

Looking at the unmoving police officers, Gordon frowned as he ordered once again in a stern tone. "Follow me! A few would do, we would be checking that building. Now, move!"

Surprised by his sudden change of tone, an eight or so officers immdediately moved and followed just right behind him.

Arriving at the entrance, Gordon leaned his back on the wall as he let another officer approach the entrance.

"Give me a two". The officer said.

(A/N: "Give me a two" basically means asking for another person who will back them up during room breaching (or whatever the operation is). The next operator who responded to his/her request will tap the requester's shoulder so he/she knows that he/she got back-up, or his number 2 so to speak.)

The police officer next to him then silently nodded as he tapped the officer that would be unlocking the entrance on his shoulder.

The two officers then went beside the entrance, trying to unlock and open it silently while the rest of the officers and Gordon were leaning on the wall, preparing theirselves.

A minute has passed and the door was finally opened as they then all moved.

Entering the building, Gordon was careful as he checked the every corner inside the building and had his gun ready.

He had the people behind him check every doors and rooms in every floors along with him.

They found nothing unsual, which made the officers that came with Commissioner Gordon doubt his sudden decision of checking this building.

Doubt about Commissioner Gordon's leadership was slowly growing in the officers hearts, but they then all dispelled that when they reached the rooftop of the building.

What welcomed them was cracked and damaged walls, floors and other things that was on the rooftop, heck they even saw a few bullets in the ground.

So with what they found, Gordon then ordered an officer to report through the transceiver and let the officers below immediately know about their findings.

The small team of Gordon inspected every area, but they found nothing aside from the damages and left out bullets laid out on the floor.

But that was when one officer suddenly exclaimed loudly.

"O-OVER HERE!"

"Don't yell!" Commissioner Gordon strictly berated the officer, but that was until he too, saw what made the officer exclaim.

"...Batman?" Gordon mumbled in a not-so-sure tone.

In front of them was a figure of a body with its face facing the floor, wearing an almost all black, thick and tough tactical suit with a cape draped over to the side, what gave out the identity of the figure was the obvious cowl and unique gauntlets it was wearing.

"Batman!" Commissioner Gordon also exclaimed as he hurriedly went beside Batman.

Batman was unresponsive and unmoving even though Gordon basically yelled out his name. So Gordon immediately flipped Batman's body so that he could get a clear look on his current condition.

But Gordon was welcomed with a scene that he wouldn't ever think he would see.

A bullet! A bullet was embedded on Batman's exposed lower face!

Gordon almost stood up in shock because of what he saw, but when he inspected it more clearly, the bullet didn't touch any part of his face?

It was kind of a weird scene, but he was nevertheless glad with this discovery.

Gordon sighed in relief as he then shook batman's body ever-so-slightly while calling out his name to wake him up while the other officers were surrounding them.

"Batman, wake up! Batman! Batman-". In the third time that Gordon called out batman, he stopped as Batman suddenly flinched and sat up.

*Gasp*

Batman made a desperate breathing sound.

The eight or so officers silently stared at him while Gordon looked at him, unsure what to do. So for starters, he asked. "Batman? Are you fine?"

Batman looked over beside him, only to find eight or so police officers and Commissioner Gordon staring at him. His mind was a bit groggy, but when he remembered what happened, all confusion he had was erased as he slowly stood up and nodded at Commissioner Gordon.

"I am fine". He said in his deep voice.

Glad that Batman was just fine, Gordon curiously asked. "Then... What's with that bullet in your exposed mouth?"

He found it weird, it looks like it was embedded on his lower face but the truth was it was actually not even touching a single bit of his skin!

"This? Deadpool shot me in the mouth with his gun". Batman informed, he do not mind sharing them that experience so that he could make the Police raise their awareness against deadpool.

After all, if Deadpool could put a bullet in batman's mouth, then wouldn't he be able to do the same with the rest of them? Heck, deadpool might not even need to use a gun!

This gave the Police officers a sense of foreboding as they were worried about Deadpool's recent actions. They couldn't help but thought if his next target would be them?

Seeing this, Batman assured. "Don't worry, soon, I would arrest him".

He cooly said with his usual deep voice as he then picked up his grapple gun that was lying on the floor and pointed it on another direction.

Seeing this, Gordon hurriedly called out. "W-Wait! Batm-". But before he could complete his sentence, Batman already fired his grapple gun.

*Pwoooh*

And flew away, hiding and shrouding himself through the darkness.

Seeing that, Commissioner Gordon sighed as he shook his head. He wanted to ask Batman more about Deadpool, but since he assured them that he would arrest Deadpool in a serious tone, he just let it be.

...

Batman swung himself from building to building until he finally stopped on one particular building and started removing his cowl.

Batman's real identity was clear for all to see, Alas, he was currently hidden through the dark which would make anyone have a hard time on seeing his face.

Batman then proceeded on removing something on the lower part of his face, and like a mask, a transparent like thing was removed from his lower face along with the bullet!

It was a transparent mask that was made of Diamene!

Diamene is an ultra-thin flexible material made from two layers of graphene that temporarily becomes harder than a diamond upon impact. It was one of the thinnest film with the stiffness and hardness of a diamond that Batman created.

(A/N: Diamene is real. You couldn't exactly breath through it, but let's just say that this is Batman's version.)

He created this material for people like Deadpool who always target the lower part of his face. But there's just a little disadvantage about this material.

When it became hard from impact, it would block all passage that air could go through, which would make him unable to breath for a short amount of time.

That's also why he gasped for a breath of air earlier as it was only at that time that he woke up from the lack of air.

That was one of the reasons why he became unconscious for a long time, while the other reason was because of the shock that the bullet generated.

Though the material completely blocked the bullet, the shock from the impact still affected his brain, which made him unconscious.

Putting away the transparent Diamene, Batman then wore his cowl and left the building. But not after controlling his Batmobile to go into a secluded area, surprising the group of technicians who was on the process of checking the Batmobile.

After all, he didn't know if the police put a tracker on his batmobile, so he wouldn't control it back to the Batcave as he could not let his base get found out.
