Chapter 73

Davien's P. O. V

Agnes raised her brow slightly, stunned by my outburst, but she quickly warmed up to it and told me, "I was fortunate to have been blessed with him."

Sydney took out another syringe and tried to inject Agnes once more, but the woman slowly shook her head. "You two women have done enough by bringing him here, th-thank you…" she stuttered, running out of time.

Gina gasped and covered her mouth as tears streamed from both her eyes, she vehemently shook her head then said, "It's our fault. We're the ones who did this to you. Even when you called out for help we turned our backs on you. Despite you never doing anything wrong to us."

Although, the situation wasn't very clear to me, I could sense the sincerity in Gina's words, there was nothing but regret seeping out of her. Whereas from Agnes I picked up a light and refreshing scent from her, there was no trace whatsoever of malice, she truly didn't hold a grudge against Gina.
