8 Boys love thrill

Xia Chen had a weird dream. He felt like he was sleeping in the middle of an icy blizzard. He felt his body going cold and a cool gust of violent wind hitting his face.

'Weird, rather than sitting in an icy mountain, I feel like I am flying.'

Xia Chen slowly opened his eyes to wake up from his sweet dream.

When he opened his eyes, he did not see any land below him.

To be precise, he did see them. But it was a few miles below him.

Instantly, he closed his eyes again.

'No, I must still be dreaming. This must be what we call a dream within a dream.'

But the cold sensation began to feel more real. He courageously opened his eyes again.

Then, he screamed like never before.

"Ahhhhhhhhhh."

"Geez, why are you so loud in the morning. What will you do if Ling'er wakes up."

A beautiful voice interrupted his scream. The source of the voice was a female cultivator who was supposed to be his 'master'. Right now, she had a reprimanding expression in her face like she was blaming the boy for being loud.

She was sitting inside a bubble-like structure with a 10-11-year-old little girl sleeping at the bed beside her.

Her voice continued. "My master told me that boys love thrills. So, I created a special protective shield around you. You won't be injured while falling down and the shield has been configured in a way that only appropriate amount of wind will enter it."

"Ahhhhhh"

"No need to feel gratitude, it is the duty of a master to ensure that her disciple can get what he/she wants. I am only doing my job."

"Ahhhh, you freakin lunaticccccc" The young boy kept on screaming till he reached the ground.

....

A few minutes after the trio had 'safely' landed in the boundaries of the Spirit Territory, Ling'er finally woke up from her nap.

"Eh, where are we and why is brother lying in the ground."

Fairy Xia lightly pinched her cheeks and informed her. "We are in the remote eastern part of the Spritual territory. I could not directly enter the sect premises because it is an offense to teleport directly in sect-controlled areas without any prior permission."

"This is the nearest free area from our sect."

"As for your brother" Fairy Xia looked at him closely and said, "maybe he missed the ground too much while he was flying that he got 'ground-sick'."

"…" (T^T)凸

"At any rate, it is not prudent to waste any time. So, might as well cure him right now." Fairy Xia cast a healing circle to the 'paralyzed' Xia Chen.

After being cured by fairy Xia, Xia Chen returned to normal.

"Uggh, I had a weird dream where I was falling from the sk-" He looked blankly at the surrounding and then at the calm Fairy Xia.

"It was real." He angrily roared at fairy Xia. "You, how could you throw your disciple like that. Are you really my master?"

Fairy Xia looked at him innocently and said. "What do you mean? Was it not thrilling enough?"

Xia Junling had a blank expression like she genuinely did not understand what he meant, but Xia Chen felt that it was an expression of a devil.

"N-no, it was perfect. I don't need thrills for a few years." He sounded nervous and broken.

"Oh."

Xia Chen felt a chill in his back when he heard the disappointment in fairy Xia's tone.

'I need to maintain low key for now, or else this lunatic master may even send me to space someday.'

Fairy Xia looked around for a bit and said. "It seems like there is a city nearby in the east direction. Let us head there."

"Ok." The siblings nodded in response.

After walking for a while, they reached the gate of the city. The name of the city was 'Lai Ban city'. It was a semi-cultivator city where the city lord had a cultivation of forth level in foundation establishment.

It could not be considered a big city, but the city had its own inscription pavilions, pill-house, and cultivation schools. Although, their purpose seemed limited to qi refinement cultivators.

Fairy Xia used a technique to hide her Daoist robes into traveler robes and covered her face with a black veil.

Although the Lai Ban City was merely a low leveled city, it was still in the loose jurisdiction of her sect. It would not be a laughing matter if the entire residents of the city came out to see her so that their new generation could have a chance to enter the sect.

She loved being high profile, but it was troublesome if she was bugged for reasons which could be avoided. On the other hand, if the city was filled with high-level cultivators, she would not have minded destroying a building or two to show off her strength.

She turned back to look at her disciples who were currently wearing matching traveling clothes as her. They looked like a trio of siblings.

Fairy Xia pointed at the inscription pavilion and said. "Since you guys are going to enter the world of cultivation, you should try to buy some weapons for your use."

Xia Ling'er looked confused. "Shouldn't we buy stronger weapons instead."

Xia Chen also entered the conversation. "Yeah, I thought weapons were like the second life of cultivators."

Fairy Xia sighed in exasperation. "This is why I said yesterday that you should not believe in legends cooked up by some quacks."

"Can you use a lamp without an oil, can you write with a pen without an ink. It is the same principle. Weapons which cultivators use for a long time are their spiritual treasures. These can only be used when you reach foundation stage and can utilize the qi in your body."

"Qi refinement is merely about refining your qi so that it can be used to break into foundation stage. Any weapons used in this stage will be similar to mortal weapons other than the fact that their metal composition is different."

"Whether you buy it from here or wait until you reach the sect, the composition of the weapon will be the same. Only the design will differ. Why wait until then?"

The siblings nodded in understanding. "Thank you for your guidance master."

"Hm." Fairy Xia thought silently. 'Rather than waiting till then, might as well train you properly so that you become strong enough to pass the sect assessment for later stage of Qi refinement.'

Fairy Xia's curved her lips into an evil grin.
