8 Too young for her life to be taken by death

Jason watched the young lady as she walked out of the shop still coughing and it made the frown on his face deepen.

"Humans are careless beings." He muttered under his breath.

"Poor girl." The herbalist said as he continued his work.

Jason walked out of the shop to continue his walk when he noticed the girl from earlier. He saw how she was having problems walking as she was still coughing. She looked like she was going to collapse any second now.

"She will be alright." He said to him as he continued to walk in the other direction.

Jason walked for five minutes and he couldn't stop thinking about what if that girl couldn't reach her home alone, He groaned in frustration as he turned to walk towards the direction she walked to.

Amelia chooses to take the forest road because it will be much faster to reach her house.

She walked a few more steps before she stopped placing her hand on the tree for support as she started to cough covering her mouth with her hand.

"Oh god." Amelia whispered looking at her palm that was covered in blood.

She tried no to panic and continued walking towards her house. It seemed that her sickness was progressing and her end seemed near. Thinking about this brought tears to her eyes. She hated the thought of dying and leaving her family.

"Stop thinking about dying." She whispered to herself as she continued walking.

Each step became difficult to take as she started to have difficulty in breathing, Soon her body gave out and she collapsed on the ground.

It didn't take Jason long to find that girl as the strong smell of blood filled the air. He wasn't surprised when he found her sick body laying on the ground. Her heart beating was very slow and almost stopped beating.

He bent down staring at her, Her face was extremely pale and there was blood coming down from the corner of her mouth.

"Poor thing, What happened to you?" Jason whispered to the unconscious girl.

He unbuttoned the first three buttons of her shirt revealing her pale chest, He placed his hand on her chest and a white light appeared, Amelia winced in pain feeling as if needles were being instilled in her lounges.

"Shh, It will be over soon." Jason whispered as he patted her head with his other hand.

When Jason removed his hand, Amelia heart beating started to beat normally again and her breathing evened.

"This will do, for now, It will give some time." Jason said as he continued patting her head.

He couldn't help not staring at her beautiful soft face features. She seemed young, Too young for her life to be taken by death, But this was the life of the humans. Sometimes they die old and sometimes they die young.

He could cure her but it will only raise unwanted attention, But he could take her to live in the castle with him. This way he will make sure that she won't say anything.

"What I'm thinking about?" Jason said as he shook his head hopelessly and stood up leaving her.

Soon she will wake up and start wondering how she suddenly feels better.
