7 The herbalist shop

Jason stared at the humans that were walking the streets of the town, He was sitting on the roof of the castle watching them, He knew that his brother was right, Humans are dangerous beings and they should not get too close to them, Especially their kind.

But he won't deny that some of them are different and worth observing, Thinking about this, He decided to go for a walk in the town, No one will recognise him and that was not the first time Jason do it, One of his favourite place that he likes to visit, Is the shops, It's very interesting to be in one of these places and watch them bargaining for the prices.

In less than a second, Jason was standing in one of the hallways of the street's before he started to head towards the town. If anyone would see him dressed in these clothes they would think that he is a passing trader.

Jason walked in the street observing the humans closely. As he was walking, one of the herbalist shops caught his attention, So he walked towards it.

Jason has always been interested in sciences and especially herb's, He spent years doing research and finding cures to some of the human diseases, But his research ended up being on paper and never used.

"Sir, are you looking for something specific?" The herbalist asked.

"No, I'm just looking, If you don't mind." Jason replied, offering the old man a polite smile.

"Of course, Not." The man replied and went to attend to one of the customers that had just entered.

"Good morning, Amelia, How are you doing today?" The herbalist asked the young lady.

"Good morning to you too, I'm doing good." The young lady replied.

"It's good to hear that." The man said."Did you come to buy your medication?" He added as he was aware of the girl's health condition.

"Yes, Is it ready?" Amelia asked as she took out the money from her bag.

"Yes it is, Wait here for a moment, I will go and bring it." The man said and went to bring the medication from one of the shelves.

Amelia stood there waiting for the herbalist to come back with her medication, She hadn't taken her medicine this morning and she was starting to feel a little tightness in her chest and difficulty in breathing, But she tried to act normal not wanting to attract unnecessary attention to her.

But her lounges failed her as she started to cough, Amelia brought her handkerchief to her mouth covering it as she coughed.

Jason couldn't help but turn to look at the girl who was coughing, He could hear the irregular beating of her heart, He also smelled a strong scent of blood making him frown.

"Oh dear, Are you alright?" The herbalist asked when he came back with the medication in his hand.

"I'm fine, I just need to go back home and rest." Amelia said as she paid for her medicine and left the shop in a hurry to go back home.
