12 Help carring the heavy bags

"Lily, What happened?" Amila asked, noticing the sad look on her friend's face.

Lily sighed and replaced the frown on her face with a smile.

"Nothing, I'm just tired." Lily replied." Tell me, How do you feel?" She asked.

"I'm doing good, I haven't used the medicine for a week now, But I take it with me wherever I go out." Amila replied and then she thought about something.

"You haven't been able to find a way to enter the forbidden land again. That's why you looked sad when you came back, Right?" Amila asked.

Lily nodded her head.

"Yes, But I won't give up, I will try every day until I find something that will help us." Lily said as she held her friend's hands tightly.

Lily didn't want for Amila to die just her two older siblings because of this disease, She won't and will not allow it

Amila wanted to ask her friend to stop looking but they had this conversation many times before and she refused to stop.

The two friends spend some time together before they leave, Each one of them going back to their houses.

...

"Amila, Honey, Is that you?" Her mother asked.

"Yes, Mother, it's me." Amila replied, closing the door and walking towards the kitchen.

Amila's eyes widened seeing the mass state their kitchen was in.

"Honey, I need you to go and buy something for me, Your uncle is coming to have dinner with us, I would have gone myself but I'm very busy, You will find the paper and the money on the living room table." Her mother said as she cut the vegetables.

Nodding her head, Walked towards the living room and picked the pepper and the money, putting them inside her bag.

"Be careful, Honey." Her mother said.

"I will." Amila replied and left the house.

Half an hour later, Amila was done buying all the things that her mother needed, But The bags were a bit heavy for her, But this was not the first time she carried heavy bags.

"Do you need help carrying these?" Amila heard a man's voice and she turned around to look at him and suddenly her breath was caught in her throat.

Amila's eyes couldn't stop looking at the man In front of her but she quickly looked away, a deep blush appeared on her cheeks.

"N- no need, I- I can carry them myself." Amila replied, stuttering.

The blonde man in front of her offered her a polite smile before he carried the bags for her.

"It would be impolite to not help a lady in need." The man said."Lead the way." The man added waiting for her to start walking.

Amila who was in her world, Admiring the handsome man before her, Cleared her throat and started to walk and the man followed her behind.

"Thank you." She finally managed to say to the man who was helping her.

"You're welcome." The blonde man replied, His deep voice sending shivers down her spine.
