Chapter-26 Interrogation

"And for some reason, you didn't think this information would be important for us?!" Sebastian's voice was cold, and Lucas and Ambrose stood in the corner as they didn't want to invite death by interrupting the angry devil.

"I am sorry, sir. I didn't know he was hiding such major information. When I caught him sneaking into the kingdom, I only thought he was just running away from the royal Kingdom," the spy bowed down, almost kneeling in front of Sebastian.

"I know I am in the wrong, sir, but believe me, I had no idea. You said you wanted the photo of the recently captured vampire, and I thought he would be the best leverage for the purpose," The spy thinned his lips as he almost placed his head on the ground.

Sebastian looked at the man with a mere curious gaze and sighed.

"So, shall we start our interrogation?" Sebastian looked at the guards, who immediately understood what he wanted and pulled the intruder closer to the prince.

The intruder looked into the eyes of the infamous dark prince and gulped before looking away. His form was trembling at the mere thought of what was going to happen to him.

His hands and legs were bound to the chair earlier, but they have freed him now. It was probably because they knew now that the vampire prince was here, he wouldn't try to run away.

"Sample question, what is your name?" Sebastian asked, and without giving him any time to respond, the prince lifted the wooden-pointed stick and stabbed his hand on the table

"Aaaaaa! Aaa! Aaa!" The man screamed in pain and agony, trying his best to pull away his hand from the prince's grip as his entire body reverberated with pain and helplessness.

The prince looked at Harold, and the latter nodded before bringing the first aid box. Sebastian lazily pulled out the bandage and wrapped the intruder's hand messily to stop the bleeding so he could torture his captive for a longer time.

"I think you are ready to answer things now, yes?" Sebastian asked, and the intruder looked at the dark prince before nodding shakily.

"Let's begin again. What is your name?" Sebastian wiped his bloody hands with the tissues.

"Blake," The intruder said at once, and Sebastian nodded.

"It wasn't that hard now, was it? What were you doing trying to intrude in the kingdom?" Sebastian asked, and the man paused, making Sebastian sigh loudly.

"I already gave you a demo of what I will do if you don't answer me clearly, didn't I? Are you trying to look for some kind of excuse? Why did you think it was okay to waste my time?" Sebastian asked before he took the stick again, making the intruder's eyes tremble slightly.

"I... I was -" The intruder started, but Sebastian shook his head.

"Times up. It's time for the demo again," Sebastian smiled cunningly from under his mask before he pulled the man with a jerk and stabbed the stick straight below his right shoulder, making the man growl in pain.

"Aaaaa! Please stop it! Aaaaaa!" The man shrieked, his hot tears spilling on the table, mixing with his blood, and Sebastian sighed before showing his hands again.

"Harold? Do I need to instruct you every time?" Sebastian asked, and Harold immediately apologized before running to the captive and wrapping his shoulder with the bandage to stop the bleeding.

"I really hate it when people don't understand things at once. You are making me repeat things uselessly. Let's start again. What is your name?"

"Blake,"

"Why were you here, Blake? You surely don't belong to the kingdoms and are one of the people who have chosen to stay neutral in the outside world. So what was so important that you didn't even wait for the legal procedures and decided it was better to infiltrate the kingdom?" Sebastian deliberately expanded to get his question straight.

The intruder gasped in pain before lifting his trembling form with great difficulty. He looked at the prince in fear and pain before gulping.

"I wanted to spy on the kingdom. I... I don't have a stable job, so I tend to my daily needs by taking small gigs from others. It was one of the gigs that was mysteriously offered to me. The amount for the information was $20,000. It was a lot of money for someone like me," Blake gasped before coughing blood, and Sebastian quirked his brows.

He had just stabbed the person twice and not even in the viral points. Why was this man in front of him coughing blood? It doesn't make any sense.

"What kind of information were you asked to send?" Sebastian asked, and Blake took a shaky breath, rubbing his throat up and down with his fingers as if trying to ease some kind of pain.

"Bring a glass of water for him," Sebastian looked at the guy, who was looking quite uncomfortable.

Now it might be because he was stabbed by a wooden stick twice and lost some blood, but his expression was speaking something else.

"Here, drink some water before answering. Look, I have no reason to kill you. If you answer me directly without wasting my time, I will let you go sooner. So the quicker you tell me everything I want to know, the earlier you will leave," Sebastian looked at the Intruder with a serious expression, and the latter nodded.

"I was asked to send information regarding the security in the kingdom. The main checkposts of the security guards and study the pattern of their security change and stuff like that.

It mostly encircled around the security types and schedules of royals if I could observe them. They were to pay me extra if I brought security information of royal personnel," Blake said, and Lucas looked at the prince with wide eyes.

It was almost the same as the prince had guessed when he was coming here. He had said something along the same lines.

If the intruder wasn't a deliberate planting from the royals themselves to distract him, there is only one reason why someone would risk their life just like that, for information. Information about things that are worthy to die for, or there is no way a mediocre-level vampire would dare challenge the scrutiny and security of the vampire kingdom just like that.

Blake coughed more blood, and Sebastian felt that something was definitely wrong with him. Under no circumstances until the vampire is terribly sick or under the influence of a witch is he supposed to cough this amount of blood.

"Who were the people to whom you were supposed to send the information?" Sebastian came to the main point, feeling like he didn't really have much time left.

It would be better if he reached these people.

This was a great piece of information and can be used to discuss with the Dukes and other important people in the masquerade ball that is coming soon. Their positive judgment of him will ensure his winning of the throne even more.

"I am asking you a question! Don't test my patience!" Sebastian looked at the intruder, who was staring back at him with wide eyes.

The intruder pointed to his throat and shook his head. It was as if he was trying to tell them he couldn't speak anymore, and Sebastian glared at him.

What the hell is wrong with him? He was all okay just a few minutes ago, and now he can't speak. What kind of bullshit is this? Sebastian stood from his place in anger and circled the table to look at the man.

"Look, I have played enough. I am not this patient. If you don't answer me who asked you to send this information, I will put this stick straight through your heart, and you can kiss your family goodbye," Sebastian looked straight into the eyes of the man, and he gulped.

He looked at the prince in pure fear before moving his hands in a signal. He wanted something to write in, and Sebastian pinched the bridge of his nose before nodding at Lucas.

Lucas immediately took out his notebook and handed the pen to the intruder, who lifted the pen with great difficulty because of his wounds.

As soon as he wrote the first alphabet, his coughing fit started again, and he coughed more blood on the notebook, making Lucas look at him warily.

This was his personal notebook that he used to jot down things when Sebastian gave pointers and work to do out of nowhere.

Seeing the man coughing more and more blood, Sebastian observed the man before widening his eyes when he realized what was happening.

"Guys! Quickly rush out!" Sebastian shouted, and everyone followed his instructions without questioning his words twice.

Boom!

As soon as they crossed half of the corridor, a blast resounded in the area, and Sebastian looked behind at the room they were interrogating that man, which was burning with large flames now.

The sound of the blast shocked everyone in the nearby area, and panicked screams and cries of people started echoing in the environment. Sebastian looked at his failed task and gritted his teeth.

Who has this much animosity towards the vampire kingdom that he used this kind of human bomb? If this person had been caught by the royal guards or blasted in the middle of the market, how many casualties would have occurred?

Sebastian sighed before evening his clothes and walked out of the building with a dangerous look. Nobody dared to say anything and followed the prince silently, afraid any sound from them would make him lose his temper.
